Flat 😆 I’m glad that you took the time to check out my video, I really appreciate you and the compliment.
Hey, thanks for posting up this review...seriously! You saved us some $3K on wheels. We were going to replace our factory wheels with aftermarket black wheels and on a whim I decided to see if there was any merit to the Plasti Dip option. Didn't even know they'd come up with Plasti Dip 2.0, aka Hyper Dip. We watched your vid and trusted your cred--you kept it real--and rolled the dice and purchased the Hyper Dip kit. Just did my wheels yesterday in the garage and love the result. This stuff is legit. Thank you!
Wow that’s good to know that I could be of help, each one teach one is my way of life. Thanks for checking out the video and maybe you’ll get into other small projects.

With the proper technique no runs, I must say that I’m more confident with the durability of hyperdip over time and that it removes a lot easier after a year. I really appreciate your compliments and support checking out the video.

Been thinking about redipping my emblems with hyperdip, so I appreciate the review video. Thanks!

I’ve been thinking about hyperdip on my rims. But those emblems came out sick. It looks great. I can’t wait to get started.
I think you should, it’s affordable enough to make mistakes without damaging anything. I’ll warn you though, if you’re successful you’ll be spraying everything you can think of 😆 it becomes an addiction

Good job bro , nice job
Thanks and I appreciate you for watching the video
Nice review! Great job on the rims. Noticed that you added a step with the alcohol, is it required or something that helps make it better?
Thanks I appreciate that, the alcohol just gives it extra bond and eliminates peeling in the areas where it’s known to start.

Nice, great info man appreciate it. I'm guessing you have to spray lug nuts after wheel removal and replacment?
Yes that’s correct, more than likely they will be damaged. You could try the hand torque route which may save them from gouging
Man I just found your channel but I’m liking the content. I did my emblems on my tundra about a year ago and it’s held up great. I’m about to redo the emblems and I think with seeing just how good the hyper dip looks I’m gonna try my rims.

Looks 🔥
Thanks I appreciate that
Much appreciated you taking the time to show me how to use this product. Before I use hyperdip, what do you recommend for cleaning my wheels, which are not chrome, but seem like a plastic on my 2012 Camry? Thanks in advance.
You’re welcome and thanks for watching the video. As for cleaning you can go with the normal soap and water, using a soap with a degreaser such as dish soap is perfect. Be sure that you use adhesive promoter spray or 70% alcohol before you spray the hyperdip.
nice review. hyper dip looks looks clean.
in case you're unaware, the sensor for your automatic cruise control and collision detection is inside that front emblem.
my camry gets all sorts of wonky when that emblem gets dirty. i imagine the hyperdip is or will cause issues as well.
I wasn’t aware of that and that’s good to know, I guess if you’re going to paint it why not use this removable paint lol. I didn’t get any dashboard warnings or indications while moving the car, I spoke with the customer weeks later to get more work done and at the time everything was going well. Thanks again for checking out the video.
@@newtouchauto that's good to hear! as long as the customer is happy, right?
there won't be dashboard warnings, by the way.
what happens is the car will just randomly brake, and brake HARD, if something lands on that emblem.
i've had it happen because of dirt and bugs and even a plastic bag one time.
i'm tempted to test it out with plastidip now, tho.
@@TwizzDoesCrypto I say go for it
Sold! I’m a go order some of that hyperdip YEEEEEE
It’s definitely a game changer
Good job. If you're thinking of building out your business, you should consider doing body vinyl and protective film, window tinting, and even sound deadening.
I appreciate that, currently I’m doing vinyl installations on the roof and hoods. Getting enough practice in learning the beginners level, as I create more time and finances I’ll most definitely move in the direction that you suggest. Thanks for checking out the video and I’ll be uploading something soon on the vinyl roof wrap.
Love the video! I have a 2017 acura Tlx i want to do the rims, grille, trim, and emblem. you think a wheel kit and 2 cans will be enough?
Thanks but order 3 additional cans along with the wheel kit, you may have a little left on your last can for another small project
Looks incredible. You do really great work. Question about the wheels though. Once a wheel needs to be removed, won’t the “dip” actually peel off when removing the lug nuts? Maybe I’m missing something
Thanks and yes, with this being a removable paint product it is highly likely to unravel during a tire change.
Great Video. Keep up the great work! Subscribed....March 3rd, 2021.
Thanks I appreciate the support and you checking out the video, I just subscribe also
Nice review brother! I’m about to purchase the Acura MDX and want to use gloss black on my chrome trim. Is it a good time to apply hyperdip now that is almost November? I remember you mentioning the temp has to be right when applying.
Thanks I appreciate that and yes you’re correct when it comes to cooler weather that’s 65 below. What will happen is that your wait time in between coats will be longer than usual and the temps can effect the behavior of the paint causing multiple issues.
Good job 👍🏼
Thank you and I appreciate you checking out the video
Great video!! I want to do my xxr527s rims on my speed3
I say go for it, the dipyourcar.com website has other options available in gloss finishes
Dang bro....screw the product....just do my car I don't care what you use as long as it looks like that. Phenomenal job and great review.
😆 if you were in the area I got ya, thanks for the compliment and checking out the video
Great video bro ,thinking of doing my cadillac grill and rims how does this thing last on the wheels tho
Thanks and with the rims it’ll last 3-4 years before needing it removed or repainted, the key for longevity is to wash them regularly and apply the DipCoat protection spray after each wash. You can find it on the dipyourcar.com website
Go stuff! I was on the fence with the hyper dip. You convinced me.
Anybody want my can of plastidip?!?!
Lol
😂 I don’t wanna see a can nomo, plasti dip need to put some respek on hyperdip name
Nice video one thing I just want to make sure before I buy is that the end result is that it has a little shine to it

Good review
Thanks I appreciate that and you for checking out the video.
Nice video! I would never use cheap plastic dip on my ride, but that hyper dip looks pretty good. I might try it. Does it work on a painted part of the vehicle, like the plastic bumpers?
“Cheap Plasti Dip” 😂 yes it’ll work the same on any area of your vehicle but it’s actually only designed for chrome, wheels and emblems.
Hello. I have just been watching some videos on your channel. I am in the UK and I am thinking of doing the emblems on my Volvo. How does the hyperdip/plastidip stick with no sanding or priming, then it peels off where you don't want it. Just concerned about the longevity of the product.....thanks and greats vids by the way
Thanks for the compliment and watching the videos. This product is designed to cut out the sanding and primer process, it’s a temporary look that’ll last 3-4 years before needing it removed so it peels off properly.
Anything that’s not bridged, bonded or attached will allow you to peel off the unwanted areas. Whenever you decide to give this a shot just be sure that you apply the predip adhesion promoter before spraying, you can also use 70% isopropyl alcohol in place of the spray if you don’t have it.
Nice review, got my attention. I'm really looking for the glossy black look tho. This product didn't look too glossy in the pics, is that right or is just the lighting? I know with the Plasti dip they have the glossifier dip you use on top of the regular plasti dip.
Thanks for the compliment and checking out the video. You’re correct with this not having a gloss finish, hyperdip gives a satin finish. Currently there’s no gloss available for hyperdip, hopefully they come out with something that has a nice gloss to it.
im not 1 to do my own car mods but I have a 535 with pretty much every mod there is to do to it done by time shops or body shops; your video was detailed enough and gave me the confidence that i should b able to do this- i do have a question, for the logo on the Toyota rims, if you wanted it to be viable, or not “dipped” would you just do the toothpick method to remove only that small part of the rim dip? i hope that made sense lol dope video too!
Thanks I appreciate that and you definitely can achieve this project. Normally the centerpiece is separated from the rim so you could try either option to remove.
A) use your fingernail on the edge and peel back the dip
B) the toothpick method
Hopefully this is helpful with your future project, if you have any additional questions just message me
@@newtouchauto - I’ll keep you posted! I’m gonna do the piano black. Do you have any idea if the 2K gloss spray can go on top of the hyper dip or would you stay away from that combo? I just want a extra high gloss finish & didn’t think it was a bad idea.
@@mac7550 okay cool, I advise you not to spray the 2k over any removable liquid paint. 2k is a permanent clear coat that will not come off unless it’s sanded, you can also use this video technique with permanent paint products if you’re wanting a high gloss finish with 2k.
Whenever you’re spraying permanent paint from an aerosol can the process is whey quicker than this video, you’ll only need to coat the surface 3 times and high gloss it 2-3 x
Amazing job bruh... What did you use behind the rims? ( I normally take the rims off) also I normally use tape on the outside of the tires not the whole tire, just about a inch or so ... Does the dip removal spray come with the kit, or do you have to buy it separate. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
Thanks I appreciate that, it’s pretty much a plastic bag behind the rims that I split to make it long enough. The tape is ok but the kit will come with the dip release to apply on the rubber and trust that it’ll make the process a lot easier. Checkout my how to video upload on painting rims if you’re interested, it’ll show you everything and answer any questions you have.
Great video I have a 2020 tundra sport need to black out the rims really don’t want to blow 1500 on rims this stuff looks great !!! How does it hold up does it start to peel or what ?? Thanks!!!
I appreciate the compliment, I have a tutorial video uploaded on how to spray with hyperdip if you’re interested. It’s bond is superb and as long as you prepare properly and spray the proper coats you’ll have no worries with peeling.
Great video and nice work!
I appreciate that and thanks for checking out the video
lol i was like please let my guy turn around and notice its a camery, not a corolla. Cant get them mixed up out here. lol great vid
😆 size matters right, thanks for checking out the video
Great video, I still can't figure out how it peels off the paint but won't peel off the badge at the same time?
Thanks and the answer to your question is that anything that isn’t breached, has a crease or touching the body panel can be peeled separately. For instance, those emblems were place on the trunk so it’s detachable.
Very nice.
Thanks and I appreciate you checking out the video
Hell yeah got some hyperdip in the garage to put on my rims and trim. Wish you were in KC. Any advice for a novice on how to apply
Thanks for checking out the video. Just be sure to get your tack coats in first, to avoid paint runs don’t spray close, give it time to dry in between coats and don’t try to cover the area until about the 5th coat. Most importantly wear a mask for your safety
Do the all some layers with the regular plastidip then do the last two layers with the hyperdip so use less product save some money 💴
@@jpjp9192 dammmm you a genius
I watched a lot of vids and you’re the only fellow that didn’t cover the tires or take the wheel off lol.It looks like you covered the brakes. Will hyperdip or plastidip work on calipers? I’m assume they have a red option now
Yes, you can use it brake calipers
I tried the product this summer and it came out rough but I'm sure I didnt do it right although I thought I did. Anyways good video man.
Thanks for the compliment and checking out the video, a lot of times the high heat temperature and spray angles can cause rough textures.

Hey I’ve got a question. About a year ago I Plasti Dipped the grill on my car but only did like 3 layers because I only had maybe a half can to work with. It looked good, but now it’s looking a bit faded and I want to re do it with the Hyper Dip.
Only problem is when I try to remove it it’s tiny piece by piece because I didn’t lay down enough for a thick layer. Can I just clean it real good and spray the Hyper Dip over the Plasti Dip?
@@Samuelfish2k no that option isn’t it, hyperdip and plasti dip aren’t compatible so that’ll only make matters worse. There are options for removing the plasti dip which are ordering the Dip Dissolver from dipyourcar.com which will make the process much easier. Dip Dissolver will liquify the plasti dip to where a pressure washer will wash it away like butter. A pressure washer alone will do the job also but be careful with spraying too close bc you’ll potentially spray off the original paint.
@@newtouchauto
It’s a black plastic grill on a 2000 Deville. So no paint to worry about.
I’ll look into that Dip Release product but if it’s kinda expensive I might just try some Rapid Remover which I do have. The texture of the plasti dip looks darn near identical to the plastic on the grill.
Thx.
@@Samuelfish2k yeah the Dip Dissolver will run you $30, you can try goofoff which isn’t compatible but I’ve heard that it will help also
👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏... been reluctant on the plasti dip... glad I came across this... Hyper dip it is... Any clear coat?... Came across one called 2k high gloss... wonder if that would be need... Probably won't hurt for added durability...
Fantastic vid... Cheers!
Thanks I appreciate the compliment. 2k is a permanent clear coat product and hyperdip is a removable product, I don’t suggest that you use it over hyperdip unless you don’t have any intentions of removing it. However hyperdip has 2 gloss options available in black, they have Piano black gloss and emerald metallic black gloss. I have a video uploaded on the emerald metallic black gloss if you’re interested.

@@newtouchauto lol! Will do!!
Great video man. I wanna know how durable it is. How long does it last on highway speed with bugs and rocks hitting it?
Thanks and I can tell you that this isn’t anything like Plasti Dip which can potentially have the issues stated. Hyperdip has much more durability and better quality so I’ll say that the longevity will get up to 3-4 years like Plasti Dip
Thank you for this, Definitely selling me on the hyperdip, how do you think it would hold up on a door handle? on my canyon the handles are chrome :(
You’re welcome and thanks for checking out the video. When spraying door handles I suggest that you use a strip of vinyl or black tape behind the handle. The reason being is that it’s harder to cover the inside of door handles so what happens is that it’ll be very thin inside. When you go to pull the handle you’ll be pulling the opposite direction of the dip which will only peel it off
Looks clean!! I have always liked plasti dip but I gotta try that hyper dip out!
Thanks, plasti who????? 😆
Have your ever remove your ture to chages your brakes... the product peel off.. thanks for your inputs
Yes I’ve changed breaks before but this vehicle actually belongs to a customer. The product will peel from areas easily when applied correctly
Great video. Is it easy to clean and does it feel like it’ll stay on wash after wash? Thanks!
Thanks for the compliment, if everything is done properly prior to the install then you’ll have no issues. As for cleaning and maintenance soap and water for wash 🧽 and apply DipCoat protection spray for a nice sheen which is like the lotion
Firee been looking to doin my 2021 Supra wheels ...what did you use for the tail lights is that dip or tint ?
I say go for it on the wheels, you won’t regret using hyperdip over plasti dip. On the tail lights I use VHT Nightshade tail light tint
By covering the front emblem, you’re still able to get forward collision warnings and cruise control ? The radar is behind the front emblem.
It’s a possibility but with this customer they had no dashboard warning signs. Your statement is very true and most will need to know their vehicle before attempting this project, thanks for the info.
Great video... Are you using a sprayer to apply Hyper Dip & Plasti Dip?
Not at all, it’s all from the aerosol cans. To avoid hand cramping you can purchase the spray trigger from dipyourcar.com or Home Depot/Lowe’s
Yes is true, you have to use all the products. I have 22" rims on my car and I have to use 8 cans (you gonna need to apply many coats for a great finish 😒) with Plastic Dip is not that many. But still Hyper Dip is a better product.
Most definitely, Hyperdip all day
How does it clean? I’m wanting to change the color of my Harley, and protect the existing paint. How does it hold up to hot temps? Does it come in a glossy finish? Several colors? How is the bond with painted plastic parts like trim etc?
When it’s applied correctly you won’t have any issues with hand washing, in order to maintain the dips longevity I suggest that you also purchase the DipCoat protection spray. I’m located in Florida where it gets pretty hot so it’ll definitely uphold to high temps but I advise you not to paint any exhaust pipes. You can spray any other panel of your bike but be sure that you properly prepare the surfaces.
