  • Almost half of all doctors in the UK say their mental health is now even worse than during the pandemic - as they struggle with overwork, scarce resources and rising demand from patients.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
According to the Medical Protection Society, some doctors feel they are 'lurching from crisis to crisis' with little respite.
NHS England says it has pledged £2.3 million to improve staff wellbeing across seven regions.
But for exhausted medics, the toll on their psychological health is becoming one burden too many.

They should discuss their complaints with a receptionist and make an appointment to see an official. The telephone line will open at 8am but they need to be quick as all appointments will be taken within the first ten seconds. Prior to that they must first go online and complete a 10 page e-consult to see if the computer grants them permission to telephone the receptionist.

Same in the States. Offering Healthcare workers access to well-being "hubs" is a slap in the face. They did that here and it backfired. Give them proper patient ratios, more paid time off, and higher pay. Stop making them feel guilty if they can't work over 40 hours a week.
