I’m a bass player. Always love the “low end.” But when I first heard “That Lady?” That guitar riff and solos gave me goose bumps to this very day. Plus I became a fan of the Stratocaster. Then came Prince, Steve Lukather, Carlos Santana, Agnus Young, Johnny Graham, Al McKay (EWF’s string slingers) and Phil Collins guitar slayer Daryl Stuermer. I still play bass, but when I get n2 one of my moods, I pulled out my Squier Strat w/EMG’s and start shredding. Ernie was that spark. Love the Isley Brothers!😌🎶👍🏾

Just how the Jackson's got started; very similar story... The Isleys had music out before the Jacksons signed with Motown, which is why I don't understand how the Jacksons got the title; America's First Family of Music! Ijs... But I'm a fan of both families!

keyboard player, chris jasper wrote 90% of the isley,s songs from 1973 -83. He had to show them how to sing it, according to how he wrote it, he had to show Ernie, how to arrange it, on his guitar so it will sound just like what you heard back then' . chris was the backbone of the group .and then, the whole backbone of isley; jasper; isley. 1984-86''

Facts, Chris Jasper is underrated. Also Look how Angel Winbush helped the Isley sound when she was married to Ronald during that time period. You can tell the difference between Chris Jasper sound and when he left the Isley Brothers. I didn't care for them sound wise when they linked up with R Kelly
