      The original Isley Brothers were O'Kelly, Rudolph, Ronald and Vernon Isley.
      Both Vernon and O'Kelly, along with Marvin (who joined in 1970), have passed.

    Damn this interview was so refreshing with everything that’s going on in the todays world, it was definitely needed. To Ronald showing emotion about family/people he knew who have transitioned to the stories/friends they have had in in the past to Ernie touching on r&b/intimacy not being dead etc, Thank you Breakfast club for this one.

    Let me tell you something… as a 16 year old, y’all don’t understand how much I love the Isley brothers. I am so grateful as a young black guy upcoming that I know REAL music & that they’re still here with us! Yeah we talk about the Jackson’s, EWF, Even Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.. but the ISLEY BROTHERS will always be on the top of that list! Hits since 1959 to 2023!??? And the amount of friends & family they have outlived. I have a very strong respect, love and admiration for them!

    I absolutely love talking to older men and women, they're so wise, they've lived a long time, and have so many great stories to tell. I'm a LPN, and I've worked with the elderly at nursing homes and I loved my little patients. now that I work at a doctor's office I get to work with little children, teenagers, middle-aged people, and the elderly. If you love what you do it's a really fulfilling job.

    The Isley Brothers, wow they just cranked out huge hits one after the other. Ernie Isley is the greatest guitarist alive today, he's definitely as good as the great Jimi Hendrix, some say he's better but I wouldn't good that far, but he's definitely as good. Here is some of the songs that make people say what they say. Who's that lady part 1,2 Summer Breeze part 1,2 Hope you feel better love, Climbing up the ladder. Those four songs is why people say Ernie Isley is the greatest guitarist alive today. Enjoy the ride.

    Somtimes a modest and paced level
    Of stardom and artistry just is perfection!
    None of this 6 albums in 4 years stuff! Thats why artist feel compelled to create than inspired and so it just doesnt still for long if at all. Also they keep their target audience but then they keep finding young artists to collab with to keep their work and brand recognisable to the youth of the day!
    Perfection with a sprinkle of good karma!! No mess no drama! Over exposure makes artists overly vulnerable!

    Should've asked them about Chris Jasper, who used to be a member of The Isley Brothers (1973 - 1984) and Isley-Jasper-Isley. He cowrote and produced most of their hits during the 70s and he is still alive.
