Yes, this is a biased opinion: Kimi's 3 way fight against Alonso and Hamilton was the most dramatic season ever. Yes, 2008 Brazil was dramatic in itself, but only this one race. 2007 had drama for the pretty much the whole season (Hungary, China, Brazil as a few examples) and the comeback Kimi mounted, the odds he had overcome within the last 3 races was just brilliant to watch. I was 8 years old, missing most GPs that weren't in Europe since TV time was restricted, but OH BOI, that last race with that result: Absolutely insane feeling.

Kimi also took the most points, although he was suspended twice during the season for a technical failure at Barcelona and the Nurburgring. In both of these, Kimi would have been on the podium. Hamilton and Alonso had no interruptions due to technical failures at all.
this is really worth watching. loads of history I wasn't aware of. Amazing when you think of the alternative stories if everything had gone a driver's way: Prost a 4 time champion by '86; Raikkonen a 3 time champion; Lewis already an 8 time champ and so on.
1981 is such a cluster. Started off by Bernie reassuring Carlos that Kyalami would count for points, but because of FISA v FOCA, that lasted for a week. Then in Brazil, Williams was like "Carlos it's James" but he pulled an UNO reverse card, which made the team... awkward to say the least. And a small detail that's NEVER mentioned, minutes after putting his Williams on pole in Las Vegas, he bumped with Nelson and his car had to be stripped down and straightened.
