@@magallon643 haha I meant it referencing Tesla needing to make a convertible. I was thinking a Model 3 or Model S convertible. The Tesla Roadster is significantly more expensive than those. But yeah the Lambo isn't cheap.
To everyone criticizing the Lamborghini owner for losing to a Tesla Model S Plaid, consider this: 1. **Maintenance Costs**: Changing the battery in a Tesla can be incredibly expensive, potentially more than many people realize. 2. **Power Comparison**: The Tesla Model S Plaid has around 1,000 horsepower, while the Lamborghini Huracán makes about 640 horsepower. It’s not exactly a fair comparison stock-to-stock. 3. **Tuning Potential**: While electric cars like the Tesla can’t be tuned in the traditional sense, a Lamborghini can be. With proper tuning, increased horsepower, better traction, transmission upgrades, and ECU adjustments, a Lamborghini could potentially outperform a Tesla in a race. 4. **Speed vs. Quickness**: Teslas are known for their quick acceleration, but they aren't necessarily faster in the long run. On a longer track or road, a tuned Lamborghini could reel in and surpass a Tesla once it hits its top speed. 5. **Resale Value**: The resale value of electric cars tends to drop significantly, whereas a Lamborghini often retains its value better over time. 6. **Driving Experience**: Driving a Lamborghini offers a unique and exhilarating experience that many enthusiasts find more engaging compared to an electric car like the Tesla. So, while the Tesla Model S Plaid is an impressive machine, especially for the price, it’s important to consider these factors before dismissing the Lamborghini. Both cars have their own merits, and the choice between them ultimately depends on what you value in a vehicle. Let’s appreciate the diversity in automotive preferences and be respectful of each other’s choices. Also the tesla isn't going aways from lambo that far
The person driving the lamborghini forgot to use launch control which would have given the lamborghini a better 1/4 mile time but regardless of if the person driving the lamborghini used launch control or not the plaid would still walk the lamborghini

You are not gonna be sending it around a technical track with corners shouting "im faster than a tesla around this corner!!" so that argument is out... buy a $7k -20kexhaust and say "i love the sound u hear this guys" and spend an extra $50-150k to get a turbo kit from ugr or sheepy in hopes to beat one ... tesla plaid with track package can go 200mph so anyone saying the top speed is where electric loses is false u not going 230mph on the highway or any track unless u are trying to kill yourself or u are just plain stupid. it corners better than most cars and not many high speed corners where u can consistently do 130+mph with no traffic...

Love it. 100k destroys 250k. Reality check for the lambo
Yep pretty crazy
Has a slower track time then lambo and almost slowed then the cheapest lambo
Track time? Are you referring to nurburgring time? Tbh the Plaid isn't a track car. It handles solid, but not like a lamborghini. But it's crazy quick. I'd take a crazy quick car that handles really well over a significantly slower car that handles incredibly well. It's rare that anyone would push them to their absolute limit on the street for handling, but you can almost always floor it for fun lol.
Tesla only destroys a Lambo on the race.

If you guys ever buy a Tesla whether it’s a long range or plaid Tesla Model S, have a black interior and a white exterior. It’s the best looking for the Model S or any other model in fact.
I do agree that looks good

Nah the tan interior is orgasmic
It doesn’t matter how much faster the Tesla S plaid is than the Huracan. If you ask anyone which they would rather have, it would the the Lamborghini 100% of the time.
Maybe 95% lol. I'm sure some people would prefer a car you can daily drive with a family with lots of tech that still runs 9s.
You couldn’t afford to run the lambo , you can the tesla
I can't afford either right now haha
Wrong. Tesla Model S all day. Besides being cheaper to buy….its WAY cheaper to maintain.
Honestly I'd 100% rather have a Plaid
For sure on the lunch and even top speed run the plaid will take the biscuit but on the track with technical corners and braking zone the plaid is still a lot slower the huracan is sub 7:10 car on the Nurburgring the plaid is +25 is slower then m5 csl and m4 comp on the Nurburgring
Not quite though. You should look up the times.

Tesla needs to make a convertible
That would definitely be popular
Tesla Roadster
that's a little expensive... lol
@@TechnicallyJeff youre saying that like if the Lamborghini is cheap.
@@magallon643 haha I meant it referencing Tesla needing to make a convertible. I was thinking a Model 3 or Model S convertible. The Tesla Roadster is significantly more expensive than those. But yeah the Lambo isn't cheap.
To everyone criticizing the Lamborghini owner for losing to a Tesla Model S Plaid, consider this:
Those are good points in a lot of ways. Important to consider the initial $200k savings for the Plaid vs the Lamborghini though.

What does
after looking at alot of the comments and being that the tesla is in the $80-90k range im sorry but no argument can beat the fact that the tesla is the better car for the price... in the daily commute it beats literally everything.. the track excuse wont work cause lets be real u not tracking your lambo.. u probably bring it to the drag strip (where its slower than the plaid lol) once or twice in the 1st month and thats it for the life of the car..
100% agree on all points
It’s like comparing a microwave to a smoker. Yeah one can cook a lot faster but no one wants a microwaved steak.
What an original take lol. Its actually like a grilled steak to a smoker. Both are good but one takes longer. And if you're someone that actually cares about performance, taking longer isn't a good thing... haha
Oh they are fast I didn’t say that. The EV market did nothing for me. No soul no character. Yeah they are fast that wasn’t my argument. Always a good battle when they line up tho.
I get what you're saying. No exhaust. No shifting. I come from several driver's cars before I got into EVs. I have to say, I do love driving an EV. The instant torque with no waiting to shift is great, along with solid handling and many other benefits.

The Plaid has over 400 miles of range. Doing max acceleration runs reduce range, but it also has regen when slowing down so it gets some of it back. 250 runs at a quarter mile is still only around 65 miles so that'd be easy.

Haha yes
With over 1000hp? You can dream, look at laguna seca times for some reference, Nurbergring should also be repeated with Track Package soon

Ok, endurance race? 24 hour Lemans?
lol yeah because that's how most people drive their cars...
@TechnicallyJeff They do. To and from work, road trips. The long haul which mostly gas cars are currently better at doing so the Tesla would be left behind to charge somewhere. They'd need 4 cars to run an endurance race for the replacement of a wrecked one or one that is running out of power. It'd be more expensive.
To and from work isn't that far usually... lol. For road trips, Teslas aren't horrible. The Model S goes 350+ miles on the highway.

How does it feel to get beat by a battery on wheels….

You know probably the reason is electricity doesn't need much time to spin the moter as it is electricity while the combustion engine takes time produce rotation motion and it also needs to spin the axle and then the power reaches the wheels that is why gas powered cars will be slightly slow than the electric cars
I think this is the reason please correct if i am wrong
Gas engines need to rev and have completely different power bands. Electric motors give same torque across the rpm band and no lag.
