I've remade this guide for Dawntrail, although it has been remade into a full level 1-100 guide, it covers all the things you would need from this guide, as well as anything beyond! I hope you find it helpful! Link below! ruclips.net/video/afMP3StQmPY/видео.html Enjoy!
First time MMO tank. While I am overwhelmed I am seriously looking forward to watching this video multiple times and learning the ins and outs. Thank you!!
OMG there's a lot of information... I need to stop and literally study, practice, so I don't feel embarrassed during a battle. I'm just starting with Marauder. Btw It's the best video I've watched so far, so thank you very much!
With patch 6.4, very little changes happened to Warrior level 1-50: -> Vengeance no longer grants you two separate buffs, and is simply one buff now that both contains the 30% damage reduction, and the counter attack effect. Here are any significant differences introduced with patch 6.30: Defiance now changes into "Release Defiance" when it is active, turning into a blue button that does... Literally the same thing as the button always did. This is just a visual change to more clearly indicate that pressing the button again will remove the buff.
I stopped playing FFXIV a while ago but I always liked your videos and still watch some of them. Keep going bud, your content is great! Happy holidays :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! 😊 I hope you are having fun with the things you are doing in place of FFXIV! Happy holidays to you as well! 😁
I started as a PLD, but when I reached HW I got real bored so I tried DRK. Then on a whim I decided to try Marauder and haven't stopped since. I plan to resume story with my WAR now
Your videos are honestly a life-saver LOL I've just reached level 90 BLM like a month ago and I've only just started to play tank. It's honestly funny for me to start a dungeon and say "First time tanking here" when I don't have a sprout icon anymore xD
My favourite thing about role actions is that you keep them even when you sync down, so getting comfortable with using arms length for the slow at higher levels will pay off those times you get sub-30 dungeons like Haukke or whatever. Another nice thing about it too is the slow lasts a lot longer than the initial buff so it can pull your bacon out of a fire for a bit. Also big agree on that mit order at lower levels. I've noticed even numbered pulls in dungeons tend to be more rough, so having rampart for that longer time frame is real nice, and being able to jump into reprisal early if necessary can save you until reprisal comes back up if the pull goes too long.
Great video. Covers the fiddly bits of the WAR rotation at 50 which is very nice. You intuintively want to use your big new skills during berserk, but path/eye having higher potency means you DON'T wanna stock up gauge and use 3 inner beasts. Yet Steel cyclone is always great for AOE. It's probably the weirdest thing about pre-fell cleave WAR.
Thank you for adding the extra details about role actions, Scerttle! 😊 indeed, them being available even when scaled down makes them extra convenient! 😁
I have been a DPS main for years but decided to go against my “tankxiety” and try to tank. Your guides are so informative and friendly! Thank you for the work you put into them!
Just started playing again man and really appreciate the breakdown. Especially the numbers. I'm an average player and you pointed out things I didn't even know existed. In that regard, ehat is potency?? You mention it around the Overpower + Mythril Tempest skill. Again, thanks for the video. Great job!!!
Potency is a general value used to allow you to compare the power of attacks against each other. An attack of 200 potency will hit twice as hard as an attack of 100 potency. This came up around the area of effect attacks because they beat single target at a certain number of enemies since these attacks hit for their listed potency on each enemy 😊 I hope this helps! I'm glad you found my guide helpful! 😄
@Caetsu Chaiji Ch. yeah gnb was actually my main and first job to 90. but it feels like im dying more than I should. there was also once in dungeon we killed 1 of the last bosses but there were two left almost full health, we were all dead except war and he soloed them. that heal is really good and I know for a fact if it was a gnb he would've died. gnb should be dps :(
Warrior is unfairly sturdy and able to live through almost impossible odds, so if you value that in a tank, it is a great choice! Gunbreaker can manage to do some incredible things in a situation like you described, but you are right that warrior can manage it far more easily 😊

Enjoy!
Don't forget your glam, bigger axe means bigger damage, and the more spikes your armor has the more protection you get.
Hahaha yeah that sounds about right!! 😆
dragoon moment
This is amazing. Thank you! I’m only a few days in but feeling confident already thanks to your guide.
Thank you! I'm glad to hear that! Good luck with your journey with warrior! 😄
I am both overwhelmed and informed at the same time, thanks for the lesson and the tips!
Remember you don't have to get it all perfect right away!
I hope you enjoy learning warrior! 😄
@@CaetsuChaijiCh thanks for the encouragement. I will do my best!
This video is so good. I had to watch it multiple times but I keep getting more out of it as I progress on my first tank. Thanks!!
That's awesome! I glad you found my guide helpful! Thank you!

That's awesome! It sounds like you found just the job for you - - at least for now! 😊
Just returned to the game. This is very helpful for me trying to overcome my tankxiety as I've only really played DPS previously.
Welcome back! I hope you enjoy learning tanking! Remember, the worst that really can happen is you wipe! 😊
@@CaetsuChaijiCh 🤣
Bruhhh me too except I did play tank back in May. The tankxiety is real that I got my SAM to 90 first before jumping in back to tanking 😂

anyone know what weapon glam the paladin has on the thumbnail in the beginning?
That is the final stage of the shadowbringers relic weapon!
Blade's Honor and Blade's Fortitude 😊
