      Also, I saw one of the FDE KAC SR-15 E3 MOD 2's at my LGS some time back.. and tbh, the 'cerakote' they use seems to be absolute crap. It just looked cheaply done (the cerakote/paint job). Some areas the paint was actually appeared to be flaking away, like around the takedown pins, and trigger pins. Just doesn't seem right for a rifle that is going to cost $3.5k.. new. They come from KAC this way..
      They also had a Taupe SR-15 that was properly cerakoted. Only the receivers and handguard had the taupe cerakote, unlike the FDE which had overspray everywhere. On the Taupe SR-15, the hardware/parts were still the black anodized color, etc.. Kinda weird.

    I own both…V7 Pro, MK18, and 14.5 KAC. I can’t say much about the Cerakote since mine KAC is black, but my DD V7 Pro Rattlecan Cerakote is pristine. As far as functionality, I’ll take the KAC Recce setup 100% of the time. The gas system is flawless running suppressed and unsuppressed. Both are great, but one is the clear winner.

    I’m afraid I would go with the DD just because of parts interchangeability, while the internal parts of the KAC might last a little longer than what the internal parts of the DD will that is just the whole problem all of the parts on the KAC are completely proprietary, the barrel on the DD should be good for roughly around 40,000 rounds so I would say your barrel life on the DD would probably slightly outlast the KAC because the barrel life on the KAC should be good for about 25,000 ish rounds but a lot of people have said that the bolt carrier on the KAC is good for around 20,000 rounds. You won’t get nowhere near that from the bolt carrier with the DD but you can always just slap another mil spec bolt carrier in the DD unfortunately you can’t just up and do that with the KAC because it’s completely proprietary and these are the reasons why I would go with the DD over the KAC, sorry I didn’t mean to write a book, lol, just wanted to give a good explanation why I chose the DD over the KAC

    • @dadbodoperator2466
      @dadbodoperator2466  Год назад +2

      Hey man, some times you gotta write a book. Seriously though, good explanation. There are parts of each rifle that have their benefits, but the DD has more longterm benefits at $1,000 less. That KAC is such a smooth shooter tho.

      Just the answers I was looking for! Thank you very much for your book, much appreciated! It’s interesting how they clearly try to serve different type of markets and philosophy. I do hate how some companies try to lock in their products to just work in their “ecosystem” Apple! So in this case a brand to have and follow will be DD.

If I could chose only one it’s KAC BABY…all day, every day, and twice on Sunday! The KAC is one of the softest shooting rifles on the market with a precisely gassed castle nut system. The E3 bolt is a major advancement for longevity with rounded lugs, a thinner cam pin with thicker bolt web, and a lobster tailed two spring extractor. All are common failure points on bolts and represent areas of significant advancement. The KAC stands for creamy mama jama smooth butter sweetness.

    KAC has a cool past what with having Eugene Stoner do some of his last work and all but having proprietary parts on an AR platform should be a thing you get tied to a pole and lashed for. Proprietary tools to remove the muzzle device, barrel and upper? Tied and burned, absolutely sickening. Their SR-25 seems cool though being a sniper grade battle rifle and all. Also their QC could use some serious work for a 2gucci4u weapon in terms of what you pay

    The biggest complaint about KAC that I see people make is that “tHeIr pArTS aRe pRopRiEtARy”, this is most likely a coping mechanism for the price of the rifle. If the price of the rifle hurts you then there is no way you are gonna put 20,000 rounds through a rifle anyways! So what do you have to worry about! Even let’s say you put 20,000 rounds through it, you see some accuracy changes, you send it back to KAC and they will take care of you. And if you are worried about that not being an option for some reason….buy one to moth ball. KAC is king. period.

I can't think of a top tier AR that looks worse than the SR15; but when the Emperor drops that kind of coin to impress people, it's hard to convince him that he is butt naked. I have over 5,000 rounds suppressed and about 19000 rounds total. No parts replaced. Accuracy is still MOA no longer sub MOA like when I first bought it. But just gone the distance. And I’ve ran it with a full auto colt lower and it runs AMAZING. So does my KAC MOD 2 but idk. Something about the Daniel I just no matter what I run even steel case that fucker going to spit them out with no issues. My KAC can’t run steel case. @@slowmo7500 I agree that the higher tier AR15s look, feel, and are overall put together better and the differences are noticeable. However, 90% of shooters will be just fine with low tier models.
      You could argue "would you want to depend your life on a budget Rifle?" but for some, that's their budget. Some people aren't heavy into firearms and simply want something that functions and works with no frills needed.
      I believe the original comment was just stating the M&P Sport 2 does everything he needs and doesn't see the need the spend more on a KAC or DD. I don't think he was saying his M&P was "just as good" but merely saying it was good enough for him.

    Flex on the poors...LOL. I guess i'm somewhere in the middle of the road .... Yeah, I have a few nicer rifle like the V7's, but do appreciate a nice shooting, well built rifle in a less expensive price range, Like a S&W, Ruger, Windham, RRA, Savage etc... I have to laugh a little knowing some of these youtube-social media dipshits will frown upon owning such lowly brands like I mentioned above, but many of them wouldn't know a good rifle if it jumped up and smacked them in the sack. Great video, keep em coming.

      Love it man. I'm a bit of a gun snob, no doubt, but my favorite rig is my Ruger AR556. I'm glad to know that the fact I was kidding came through in the video.

    All these GUCCI guns and stupidly unnecessary upgrades are going to give you ZERO edge over someone with a $1000 rig and proper training. Would it matter to ANYONE that whilst in the Army in 1987-1995 I was making headshots in the 3D "Ivan" pop up targets at 300 yards with nothing more than a ragged out Vietnam era M-16, iron sights and cheap GI ball ammo? Can you bring yourselves for one moment to see the ridiculousness in these expenditures when you should be stockpiling ammo??? The average, AVERAGE being the operative word in this conversation, AR owner and enthusiast should be spending no more than $1300 for an entire battle ready rig. Every day I am growing increasingly more convinced that these guntubers pushing the Gucci shit are getting kickbacks from these after market parts manufacturers.

      Bro, I have 8000 subscribers..... I'm not getting shit kicked back to me. I just like high end guns. I stockpile ammo as well. The judgement without knowing me feels a tad unnecessary friend. 😕
