    All you have to do is go up until the back of the trailer is past 1/2 into the spot next to where you’re going into, then turn steering wheel hard right (all the way to the right) while backing up. Start chasing (turning steering wheel in opposite direction to straight tractor with the trailer) when you’re at about 45 degrees to the spot
    A trick I use to see back of my trailer is to turn to the left a little before I stop, so that you’re positioned like a hook before u start backing up.

    Why do they have you start so close when you do your 90. Seems like they you should be a lot further up before you start that way you can turn it about 5 o’clock and aim your trailer. Then you would barely need a pull up. Maybe once to align your trailer in between the cones ??

      90 is very easy with a good instructor. It's only 3 steps for real.,4 with position.
      Get your truck in position, not too close like a 45
      15 to 25 ft out if you have room...you need your truck to spin without hitting anything.give yourself room.
      the trailer back end is the most important part in the 90 when backing.
      Do you see his position in this video?
      If he position his trailer right in the middle of his spot.. 1 turn hard right.. hold it until you are jack knife.
      2. Turn your wheel to the left hard.. don't let go .get back in front of your trailer.
      You should be able to look out your drive window and see if you are straight..
      Back up in a straight line....
      He couldn't do it because
      Setup was off just a little bit,but a win is a win.
      That's why he had to make little minor adjustments.
      The most important is

    • @AndreaLeon1963
      @AndreaLeon1963 3 года назад +7

      In a real world you pull as many times as you have too. All they need is that trailer there, so they can load or unload your cargo. All these is a technique you can pass your CDL, I wish they can be more practical and stop 2nd, 3rd times pull ups..
