In the 1980s I first saw this on MTV. Checking out the hot lead guitarist, I wondered Who is That?! Props to the band for recruiting a kid from high school. He certainly returned the favor, remaining with them till they disbanded. At 12, I understand he and his father’s car was struck head on by a drunk driver, and Craig woke up in hospital with broken arms, leg, ankles. It was his strong will and good advice from dad that had him back to playing guitar with casts on both hands, barely able to eke out a single chord. Music heals. We can all agree that Mickey Thomas was one of the premier voices of this generation. Every note you hear on an album he can hit live. Rare indeed.
He still reaches those notes even now.
Mickey is of the same class as Bobby Kimball of Toto and Philip Bailey of EWF. Able to hit the upper registers with ease.
I almost like his voice better without all the affects so you can really hear how great he was!!
Jefferson starship is missing something without him.
One of the best songs ever heard!
This was by far one of their best songs from the 80's.
