2:30 the guitarist is wearing his own band’s t- shirt. That’s very rare.
Seems like something I would do.

One of the best voices ever... Check out recent vids of Mickey, he literally can still hit all the notes in his 70's. CRAZY how good that guy is.

I saw them in 1979. Royal Oak music Theatre. Royal Oak Michigan. I was invited by my girlfriend to go to the show. I didn’t know anything about it. But when they performed this song, I was blown away, and I have been a fan ever since

Just discovering this song by them and honestly it is incredible to me how this group emerged and evolved into the 80s , which is how I first discovered them. And that this song is easily one of their finest works and only has 4K views on RUclips. Sometimes it’s the lesser known stuff that is the gold mine. Now I get to go back and enjoy these iconic tunes that evoke a totally different style, a raw one with zero filters or effects other than the power of the instruments and voices themselves.

unless you are under 55-60 you couldn't have missed "Jane" in 1979. It was everywhere. By far the best thing they did.

Yeah, Craig had some proving to do to replace Jorma, but did that ably as shown live here and in other "Starship' songs, like "Ride the Tiger" and others. Micky Thomas's voice here was at the height and is incredible here and as paired with Grace's voice. Excellent music from a memorable time, particularly musically.

Let's time travel to fall/winter 1979. Ninth grade, today is gym class. It's indoors because it's cold in Ohio, and this week we're playing table tennis. I'm not very athletic but it's a fun class because the teacher is nice enough to let us have a radio on. This guitar solo starts and I'm watching the guy I have a huge crush on play air guitar ❤🎸
