Abeka Academy is accredited at no additional cost. It has a similar format to BJU Press with video lessons but Abeka is filmed in their school with teachers and students.
Great addition (the filming). I did thier accreditation cost comparison a few days ago on their site and they added an extra 50 for kindergarten accreditation and about a $100 for grade 12 accreditation. My video that came out today has screenshots of it: ruclips.net/video/SSce1k9zAeI/видео.html Thanks for commenting!
@src4409 Sure, I have heard people describe it as very rigorous and thorough. It's spiral approach includes a lot of repetition. If someone was doing unaccredited they may be able to shorten things up a bit. That's the beauty of having the freedom to homeschool.
Thank you so much for making this video! I had to go to work full time after divorce and have been blessed to be able to keep homeschooling but I need help And support as she is in high school now and work keeps getting busier and more stressful
Would you do a video on the homeschool curriculums you use? I’d love to hear your personal experience and what you enjoy and works for your family! 🙏🏻♥️
I'll pop it on my list! I did one a while ago though but we use lots of programs here because I review a lot. Honestly, my favorite is BJU Press. I use Schoolhouse Techers for a lot of electives (something fun to spice up homeschooling). And then we use Notgrass for History sometimes. But, there's a long list. Here's the video I did a while ago. Hope you like it :) ruclips.net/video/6DrP8F6GOxw/видео.html
Hi, Im looking for a curriculum that is online, has automatic grading, is self paced, and offers all the core subjects (no common core for math though) and a major plus if its christian based. We are currently in a one month trial with monarch but I find monarch has way too much reading for their assignments without the option of a "read to me" button so I feel its a bit exhausting for a child to have to read everything about the assignment and then also have to do the work and they hardly have any video lessons where a child can learn visually. If anyone knows of anything that fits the bill, please let me know ❤
Abeka is Christian, not common core, but traditional, and offers video lessons and automatic grading in higher grades. You can do self-paced or accredited. It really seems to cover all the bases because it's a curriculum used in Christian private schools.
ACE is good. Then during high-school they can do it satillute through the North Carolina home base and go to a physical graduation as it is accreditation
I think they could do it from age 8 mostly... when they can confidently read them they can follow instructions. Each curriculum is different. Bju has both.
You are such a blessing , so enlightening !!!
Great list, Bec!! 😄👍👍
Your videos are so informative and straight to the point! And you are so engaging and animated! Love your vids so much!
Oh, I'm so glad you like them so much :)

Interesting. Thanks for the information.
I've heard that some don't like it for this reason... it takes too long.

We use ACE "on the go".

Yes, you're refering to dual enrollment I'm thinking? I love saving money with that.
From which age would the kids be able to homeschool themselves? Do this curriculums include book reading or is all screens?
