You are very welcome , i AM glad it helps, just one more tip i totally forgot to mention on the video, make sure to take out the key from the car , dont leave it in the ignition, othewise it may cause airbag fault on the dash, that will need to be cleared with diagnostic tool.
Thank you so much for this video, my power seat is broken and is stuck forward so i have to remove the seat and manually move the tracks back. very helpful!
came here to ask the same. i’m thinking it might be something you could find at an auto shop or home improvement store. i’m going there later today and if i find ill comment back
In the case of american car, you need to check whether the bolts can be reused, as i'm some od the american cars once the bolts are removed, they will not do the purpose when reused, do they need to be replaced with new once and screwed back in with the torque recommend by producer. Just check that before you do it to dont compromise the safty.
Nice video, but I have one question. Is it fine to disconnect the battery 100 percent of the time? I don’t have a diagnostic tool. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching, when you disconnect batery in older cars it will reset radio, so you need the code for radio if it has the code. If there are electric seats it may reset the setting etc. Other than that it will be fine, after dicounecting the battery , turn on lights or something to drain the system fully and wait couple minutes before disconecting the seats. Normally i don't disconnect the battery, and 99 % times is fine, fault comes on the dash if the car is button stop / start, so for these you are definitely better of to disconnect the battery if you don't have diagnostic tool.
I should mention that, don't put the key into ignition while the seats are out, when it comes to cars without key ignition keep the key at least 5 meters away while the seats are out, works in 99,9 % if you want to be sure , you can also disconnect the battery.
Thanks for the video Peter I'm just starting out working properly valeting cars
