Man, I remember watching this like it was yesterday. I was mesmerized by how he did the wow-wow effect with that little mic tube and I watched the whole song. Then I ran out to tell my big brother all about it-and he goes, “is it still in? I wanna see!” And of course it was over. He was so mad at me! Gonna send him this link right now, almost 48 years later, so he can finally see it.
Framptom Comes Alive was such a monster album. Everybody seemed to have it. "Somebody put on an album" called across the room. Safe choice. The party moves on.
There were four brilliant solo albums before"Comes Alive". This song was on the fourth one titled Frampton. I saw him at a 200seat club in Denver when the second album came out. Good times, good music God bless Rock on and on 🙏🎶🎵❗👀
Bob Heil Kustom Electronics was the first company to successfully market a talk box but Bob Heil was the guy who built one you could easily play on stage. Heil got the idea for his talk box from Joe Walsh, who was using the box Bill West made with Pete Drake. Still being used to this day.. Yet Frampton made it famous....

At the time of the taping of this performance, only a few people - mostly Humble pie fans- knew who Peter Frampton was. "Frampton Comes Alive" was released just a couple of weeks after this performance. 6 months later PF was literally the biggest rock star on the planet, and "FCA" was blasting out of every 8 track deck out of every Chevy Nova at every high school in America. Easy to see why - just a great live player.
Great to meet you Peter Frampton! Happy Memorial Day! I love your song Show Me The Way; the verse has a spiritual meaning to me. Your song will always be a masterpiece! Thank you for all your beautiful music! I look forward to more songs! God's blessed you with a great gift! God bless you Mr. Peter Frampton! Love, happiness, health, Denise, your devoted fan!!
I remember the show, it was taped before a live audience, about an hour long with 2-3 acts playing, just about anyone who was anyone appeared on it. I used to works nights, went to college in the day, this was on either Friday of Saturday at midnight and I'd usually get home to catch it. Tips at the restaurant I worked at back then were way too good not to work Fri/Sat nights in summer even if it meant missing half of the show!.

Hoy, a mis 63 años la recuerdo como si fuera ayer. Un saludo afectuoso a todos los que comparten los buenos momentos vividos asociados a la música. Saludos melómanos desde Maturin, Venezuela.
Eu ainda tenho vinil Frampton Comes Alive !Show demais!
It's my birthday on Saturday midnight special please upload humble pie ❤
What an awesome era back in the 1970's as a teen. Love his music. I had the album ( Framptom Comes Alive ) saw him in concert in the.late 70,'s..💕🥀
I graduated from high school in 1975. Couldnt wait to get on with my adult life. At 66 Im wanting to go back to those days!
Me too !.
Dig that groovy hair on Frampton. I was in 9th grade when this aired. Good times!
Haha, me too.
Me 8th....so not far behind!
It’s a wig.
Greatest Peter Frampton
This channel have jewels in music. The best of the best. ❤
Framptom Comes Alive was such a monster album. Everybody seemed to have it. "Somebody put on an album" called across the room. Safe choice. The party moves on.
I alteady listen Peter Frampton today in 2024. I hope that somebody listen the same music in 2025. Heard it.
There were four brilliant solo albums before"Comes Alive". This song was on the fourth one titled Frampton. I saw him at a 200seat club in Denver when the second album came out. Good times, good music
God bless Rock on and on 🙏🎶🎵❗👀
I probably heard Peter Frampton & Doobie brother's songs everywhere I went to during the 70s! They were so popular back then! Also Steely Dan's
Cool. I forgot about Joe Walsh using one.
Peter was inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
Aaaaah Frampton Comes Alive! Bought it when I was 12 and my friends and I listened to it constantly ❤ Those were the days of much greater music than today's ever could be...ever
Pure Gold. Thanks for sharing Midnight special 😘
Guitar and voice are outstanding. Yes, his career had ups and downs, and he has endured some health issues, but he is still playing. Guitar god!!
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice to meet you on here.
This was one of my favorite episodes. Remember it like yesterday. Thanks. ❤️🕺🏻
I couldn't wait to watch the Midnight Special. It is a awesome show. I was so happy to see Peter Frampton on there. My night was filled with amazing music 🎶 🎵 and a timeless classic artist. They will never have amazing shows like this ever again.
What a decade of music, so lucky
Frampton Comes Alive was a huge album 16,000,000 and counting !
1975 é um ano especial para mim. Tinha então 14 anos, mas só descobriria Frampton em 1977. Eram outros tempos. Éramos todos jovens e felizes!!!!
I miss you 1970s you were so good to me.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could go back in time…..I would stay 70s 80s and a little of the 90s lol
So sad no one makes music this good anymore 😢
What a Beautiful song this is, 1975
At the time of the taping of this performance, only a few people - mostly Humble pie fans- knew who Peter Frampton was.
Love Peter Frampton! Thank you, 'The Midnight Special!' It's sad to think he has some health issues.
Absolutely fantastic! One of the greatest songs ever! J'adore ce mec!
Frampton Cones Alive was everywhere, penetrating every smoke room and dance of my youth.
Este video deberia tener MILLONES DE LIKE, clasico de todos los tiempos.
Now just show "Nowhere's Too Far For My Baby" and I will just explode with joy.
Yes for sure!!
From relative obscurity to classic rock guitar god to top forty teeny bopper to Sargent Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band with the BeeGees to relative obscurity. All in five years. That’s an accomplishment. Pete, you rock.
Love these live performances! Thanks!
