Same here. My freshman year, Peter Frampton and Bob Marley were being played all over campus. Can't imagine how bad college is now, nothing like this.

Omg when I hear this song I am taken immediately back to my younger days and that great concert on the beach when Peter performed this song. My boyfriend, now husband, used to sing this to me.

Another example of why the Midnight Special, was the show to watch. It really made my weekend. I looked forward to the Midnight Special. Live music 🎶 🎵 and just freaking awesome groups .Peter Frampton was amazing. I loved the solo artist they had on there as well.

Great song great performance great band. Bob Mayo was the secret weapon. Frampton has a great feel on the Gibson acoustic.

Interesting to see him play the Rhodes, and at times in the same clip, play it with left hand, and right hand on the B3… rather than all Rhodes electric piano through phase shifter effect like that iconic part (especially that memorable solo) you hear on ‘Frampton Comes Alive’.

I was able to see him in concert in August 1977. The ticket set me back $7.50 advanced purchase at the box office. No ticketmaster fees, FTW! Probably my favorite concert or a close second to seeing Queen in that same era.

First saw Peter in 1977 and most recently in 2018. The man still has those dreamy pipes. 🥰😍 And, whatever we were doing, we made sure to make it home in time to see The Midnight Special (sure could have used a vcr or dvr back then 😂)
Every week, you'd watch the Midnight Special, knowing any and every performance would be something special.
