This scene starts with Don at his lowest point (apparent defeat). He concedes that the game is up and soon all his finery will soon be gone. This scene hits a few story beats as Cosmo hits upon the plan to turn the film into a musical. Realization point - Lena “can’t act, sing or dance”.
