You can sure tell watching those movies I mentioned above:)

"Singin' in the Rain" is one of my favorite movies but here she has better chemistry with Donald O'Connor than she ever did with Gene Kelly. It doesn't even feel like romantic chemistry, more like a fun friendship between two people who aren't acting but genuinely like each other, but it still jumps off the screen.

stregadisalem Exactly, that's what I was thinking during the "Good morning" moment in "Singin'in the rain". Also, I think Gene Kelly would be amazing in films like "The Godfather". I find some of his acting in "Singin' in the rain" quite scary, for example, the moment when Lina "sings" on stage. R.F, Cosmo and Don move their hands and make funny faces. Gene Kelly looks more scary than funny there.

The age difference is also at play: Debbie was 19, Gene was 39, and Donald was 27.
Actually, while watching 'Singin' In The Rain', the girl who portrayed 'the seductress' in Don's musical, when she danced with him, I straight up thought "that's the kind of girl that suits Gene Kelly", and Debbie Reynolds looks best together with Donald O'Connor. Of course, I'm speaking about their characters, but since in musicals they didn't bother much with portraying complex characters, they would always come out very similar to the actors portraying them. I think, Debbie is so petite and adorable and doll-like, that she looks perfect with Donald O'Connor, the kind and easy-going, adorably goofy lad, who is endlessly charming :)

andrea contreras Twirl _ hello darling! you are aware that retro fashion is a thing?. I dress regularly in 1950's fashions, complete with lovely hairdos. I also like 1930's . If you do a search on RUclips you'll find a huge community of vintage fashion followers, most of which enjoy thrifting and refashioning clothes into some beautiful creations ( just like back then) . If you have male friends interested in this style, check out "the Chap" magazine, a quarterly publication from UK. In Uk and US there are lots of gatherings and parties for people who love retro style. You can also check out Balboa, swing or Lindy Bop dance lessons in your area if you're interested in making friends with the same interests. It's wonderful!

Not only is he a golden globe winner but an Oscar winner, 2x grammy winner. And if we’re talking nominations he’s an 8x grammy nominated artist, 2x Oscar nominated actor and 3x golden globe actor. To be honest Debbie is not touching him when it comes to awards and talent in MY OPINION.

They are terrific together. I'd forgotten how great Donald O'C. was...and Debbie always delivers. I vaguely remember this movie when it first came out. Isn't this the one where she does a dance involving football?

I saw Debbie emerge from obscurity in Two Weeks With Love (she stole a scene, on a beach, from Jane Powell). That was about 60 years ago and her (and Carlton Carpenter's) Abba Dabba is in my favourites. Recently I discovered this clip and it has joined my Favourites. I liked her daughter in Star Wars - the scene where she viewed her rescuers with scepticism is etched in everyone's minds.
Anyway, thanks Donald and Debbie, and MiyuGoreLivingDead. This is a wonderful clip.

Gone are the days where women were all feminine and charm. Tiday they just want to be in competition with men, dress like a man, be tattoes from head to foot, besides having piecings all of over the body and hair as short as can be. I love being a feminine female, nothing wrong with that, that is how I was born..........to be female😉😍🚺

That coffee table has got to be screwed/nailed down, because the way that they're dancing an jumping up and down on it, if you'll notice, it doesn't enen move an inch. One more thing.....That Dress is Poppin', O.K. Now! That girlin' is twirlin' in that dress!
