No other profession have I come across more psychopathic seeming traits than I have in dealing with doctors. And I’m not even saying that in a derogatory way either. I think their logical, no “feelings” way of being, mixed with their ability to stay cool under pressure can actually make them pretty good doctors and surgeons. Sometimes having this disorder can be a positive. They’re not all evil killers and conmen lol.

It's very fashionable to talk about it now. In fact, the people you are talking about are not psychopaths, but opportunists. They are just egoists who put themselves above others, but psychopaths, in principle, on an emotional plane, cannot put anyone above or below themselves. For a real psychopath, it is very often difficult to navigate, since there is little pleasure for them, moreover, killing a person and going to the store are emotionally the same for them, which leads to big problems. I saw in a real criminal case where a psychopath killed his friend just like that, and then confessed to his deed without regret and without even blinking an eye, despite the fact that he perfectly understood what he did, but he is not endowed with feelings at all. What's the point of a psychopath rushing to success if he still doesn't feel anything from it.

Right? It trips me out every time I watch an old video. This wasn’t even that long ago when you really think about it, but people speak so much differently now than they did then. But that’s not even just an American thing either. I was watching an old English newsreel and the people interviewed all spoke so much differently than the typical British person you see today. It’s wild.

I have a theory on this - psychopaths are great at manipulation, a group of them got together, they worked their way to high status positions in medicine - or cheated their way to high status positions in medicine - and changed the DSM so instead of psychopaths, there's now an antisocial personality disorder condition, which, on the UK's NHS websites, says this: 'The person's family and friends will often play an active role in making decisions about their treatment and care'. Basically it encourages using the family and friends, whom the psychopath doesn't give two s***s about, to "help" and appease the psychopath, rather than anything actually useful.

@@Armistead_MacSkye I think it can. I think it's difficult but if we poured as much money into science of health as we do into technology, we'd have figured a way to alter the brain. But as much as we worry about them because of the actions of some of them, are they, in some ways, a more evolved species of human, because in our current society, feeling no emotion is an advantage and we don't need the support of others in the same way we did in the past to help build houses etc.? But not evolved properly, as there are times that psychopaths need support but may not get it because they have tainted their reputation?

My ex wife is one of these. She hid her condition as she is a highly trained teacher of actors/entertainers/musicians. She can act her way out of much, however she has telltale cues. Once you catch on, the oddities become blatant. Very weird behaviors. Zero empathy. Zero conscience. She'd shove a knife in my chest if she thought it could benefit her and if she knew she could get away with it. I woke up at 4am with her whispering in my ear, "I want you to die" repeatedly. Death threats. Physical attacks. False accusations. She assaulted multiple men. Cheater. She currently faces felony charges of kidnap, witness intimidation, assault. I was the victim. I have a permanent eye injury from her hurling a bottle at my face. I went blind for two months from it. The legal system doesn't understand these types and cannot handle psycho criminals. Especially women psychopaths. They overlook their insanity and enable it as a norm. They can hide in plain sight for most people, however once you "know" psychopaths, you can see them readily and easily. Psychos hate me, as I recognize and expose them as a duty. They fear and hate those that have this ability.

For women psychopaths they make excuses like “oh, they weren’t loved enough,” “they were abused,” “they were traumatized,” “they hurt people, because they’ve been hurt a lot in childhood,” not saying some of this isn’t true but female psychopaths get sympathy, especially if they happen to be attractive.

People were far more intelligent just a few generations ago, generally capable of unique sentences and critical thought. I think its deeper than a drop in formal education and a breakup of family education. It's likely that the decades of serious environmental pollution, plastics, teflon, hydrocarbons, lead, have degraded our very genome. It's not an inbreeding problem since most countries are far more multicultural now than they ever were, and the drop in education doesnt seem as universal as the drop in (apparent) intelligence. Just a theory, but the people who made money doing it to us won't pay for the studies to find out.

Eugenics began in the United States. W.E.B Dubois began the NAACP to promote only the African Americans whom were in the top tenth intellect percentile and only those with European features. All others the NAACP wanted sterilized. Eugenics began in the USA was due to lobbying in 1901. The reason being people believed addiction, emotional and mental dysfunction, intelligence and bad behavoir was hereditary. In the 1970s the last state banned eugenics laws because scientists and medical exists learned addiction, mental and emotional dysfunction, intelligence, behavoir isn't hereditary.
In 1983 pharmaceutical lobbyists convinced the president and members of congress they'd get rich if everyone in America was convinced they were dysfunctional in some way. So the president attempted to push a bill which would force all school children to be given antidepressants at school. The bill also laid out a plan to convince Americans their children suffer from adhd, autism, antisocial disorder etc. It failed when a special investigator testified before congress and divulged the plan in the Scopes report. In 1984 a new plan was made to convince parents to drug their own children instead of beating their arse. It was called the Deliberate Dumbing Down of Americans. The plan and bill was made public by whistle-blower executive director of education to the president Charlotte Iserbyt. Every ask yourself what has devolved in human DNA that suddenly 70 years of medical science is tossed out and within a year of that autism, emotional and mental dysfunction and addiction went from 5 cases in 5 million to half of the population. Within a single generation America went from having the strongest currency on earth, the greatest manufacture, the leader in science and medicine and the strongest military on earth to spending 20 years looking for a man living in the only bunker in the middle of the desert then falling to capture him, Mexico's peso and even Canada's currency is stronger, to no manufacturing, and the lowest test scores in all the world.
National geographic studied every country in earth and the United States ranked second to last in intelligence. Last was Mexico. That should tell everyone something considering at least three countries still have primitive hunter and gatherer societies and scored higher.

Since then, there has been a free for all, an explosion in vaccine production with an exponential epidemic of autism, cancers, neurological and physical disabilities in the US and also around the world wherever these lethal vaccines are inflicted upon populations with the tipping point reached with this global deliberately planned Scamdemic of covid which has ended the lives of millions and destroyed the health of many more including their mental health which has caused countless suicides. The influence of eugenics is not as well understood as it should be, in how people perceive each other, it is a deeply divisive, horrific and dangerous way of perceiving humanity and has been one of the root causes of entrenched prejudice, stereotyping, racism, discrimination, persecution, misery and genocide of millions of people all over the world.

It's not that people with ASPD are incapable of distinguishing between right and wrong -- they know it perfectly well. They simply don't care that what they're doing is wrong. Sure, some may not see certain things that we do as 'wrong,' but for the most part, it boils down to lack of empathy and serving themselves. If doing something wrong will gain them any advantage over someone, they will do it without hesitation. It's usually all they're concerned about, unless doing the right things gives them some sort of validation or reward they are seeking out at the time. Moral consequences are immaterial to these people. The questions "Is this the right or wrong thing to do?" and "Should I not do this?" never really occur to them.

I met a psychopath and even became friend with him at the time, i was young back then, from my point of view it was a true friendship, he was telling me his secrets and so called weaknesses, not only to me but to a wider youth gang we were part of. He was actually a best friend to everyone individually and everyone loved him, they felt sorry for him. He played into this feeling of compassion of people around him, as his friends got invested he found a way to cinvince them to lend him some money, he individually convinced them all roughly at the same time and one day he just dissappeared with a considerable sum.
We were roommates, as a result of coincidence i ran into information that revealed his plans, i used to talk about it with other friends and they judged me as terrible person who is jealous and talks behind the back, to be honest they made me ponder myself as such, i questioned if i was too harsh on the poor guy.
When he fooled everyone and basically robbed them escaping to another country, bragging on social media that he is going to hollyday on luxury location and that he is turning off his accounts to take a good rest, only then they believe me, but they never said sorry or ever mentioned that situation.
Its interesting how these people can manipulate in such a convincing way that they can make you doubt your own eyes, ears an common sence.

Offering a strong sense of vanity for toiling in thoughts and schemes while eventually presenting peripherally what can be healthfully gained for both necessities in life to being fruitful. That's the shortest version of my thought. It is stubbornness. Using terms like "psychopath" are like written in stone, permanent sentences. This guy has said as much regarding why he chose what he chose at the age of ten. He isn't aware of it of course. But, the doctor should recognize it. Instead of treating a person under the idea of being a psycho, treat it as a spoiled child who is at war with himself and projecting that at the world. There are many nuances to my actual thoughts on this. But, it's late and I must get out of my coffin and eat my neighbor's.

Odd fact, the majority of psychopaths/people diagnosed with ASPD are living amongst us in society. They are not all criminals who end up in jail.
Many popular jobs for people with the ASPD are CEO'S, for obvious reasons, or surgeons another role they're well suited to is surgeon because they're able to remain calm under pressure.
For the person using sociopath, that's not a clinical term, according to Dr.Hare, who's one of the world's top doctor's specializing in the field. He's a Canadian that's created Hare's checklist, which is used to assess ASPD in prisons around the world.

Mental abuse has the same potential for damage as physical abuse. Abusive fathers are just as dangerous as abusive mothers. Codependency is just as damaging as Narcissism and society is as much to blame for mental illness as the patient. What we really need to face is the origins of these epidemics and stop just medicating the symptoms. We know why narcissists develop and yet we're still making them en masse in a society that rewards their behavior until they lose their leverage tool of societal power.

I've done quite a bit of reading about ASPD but I'm no doctor. One article I read written by a person claiming to have a severe form of ASPD said (I'm paraphrasing) that they need to end the stigma because this person did have feelings for his parents but nobody else. That's exactly why the stigma should exist. Yes, they have feelings for one or maybe even a handful of people but on the severe end they have no emotion for anybody outside of those people. They see others as Coke bottles, they feel no guilt, no empathy towards that Coke bottle as long as they are getting what they want they don't care. I don't see why people nowadays say these people are 'suffering' with the illness when they don't care, just flat out don't have any emotion, how can you suffer if you don't care? Of course someone with personal things to gain who obsesses over that would want the stigma to end. Also, I think the stats are wrong. I think 3% of the population having it is low since I have seen many many many people like this throughout school. Also currently I have seen three in the same apartment building of 50 people in a town of 20,000 people. As far as the milder end of the spectrum I'm still reading, most sites like to talk about severe cases and murder.

The difference I see in his need to manipulate and impress.. is the fact that he is honest about it.. when asked directly. It's good that the doctor said that while there is a chance of him comitting a serious crime, it's definitely not a certainty.
This patient's psychopathy mostly seems to appear in a way that he is unable and unwilling to commit, distrustful of others, probably because he's projecting and, yes, entirely unremorseful about the effects his actions have on others because he considers absolutely no one as close to him.
The only fear he has, if anything, is to get stuck in a situation where's he's unable to act freely because he does seem to be able to get frustrated and dislikes physical pain, but other than that the only stimulus he seems to really receive is novelty.
Why I don't think most psychopaths are prone to killing is because of the fear of getting caught, and because people don't mean enough for them to inspire enough hatred to go through that effort. Were someone to get in the way of his freedom though, or insult him, and he'd feel he could get away with it, the decision would be only natural to him, so it's a matter of circumstance.

You will get up and look forward to working because it you are working together with others to create something beneficial and lasting for all. Or because its creating something of pride legacy and protection for your family and future. There are no such rewards for most employees now. No respect to be earned, most encounter continued social abuses in their daily grind instead of social bonds. People don't take pride in working for a conglomerate that displaced all the community based businesses and now slave labors them with fast customer turnaround timers. People want their doctors to listen to them and hear their pain. But, insurance pay structuring require they quadruple book appt times. We have been so focused on production we've lost connection. Raised our children without connecting, too tired on the off hours Nd beaten down by the week to teach them how to be lastingly satisfied, if we even know how.

It would hardly have been worth writing this post were it not true the psychiatrist not long after the film was made appeared in the headlines in newspapers in Canada. He was murdered in his own home. The perpetrator also captured the headlines too. Up until his death the doctor had for some time been 'entertaining' men in relationships that he struggled to contain within the boundaries of Canadian law. One such relationship was at the root of his tragic and savage death.
At the time of making the film engaging in homosexual acts was a criminal offence in Canada and any hint of it spelt ruin especially I would imagine for people occupying a position of prestige in medicine. It must have took an exceptional amount of duplicity and deceit from the psychiatrist to sustain his air of confidence before the camera going far beyond that of the petty theif sat before him smiling and admitting everything and who probably recognised a psychopathic personality more insightfully than the doctor could ever have dreamed of imagining. Who is the expert and who is the psychopath in the film is something that I will have to let better people decide.
Either way it is a case that is beyond my comprehension and is tragic.

What was the criteria for psychopathy at the time of this recording? There have been considerable advances in the understanding of the psychopath, especially with regard to the grey areas.

I was kind of wondering because he sounds like he has adhd and acts out as a way of fitting in with peers and getting attention. I could be wrong but, for one thing, it seems weird a psychopath would write an essay on world peace, whereas someone with adhd would totally do that while experiencing hyper focus

The “system” should be praising this man.
Look at all of the police, psychiatrists and social workers that he - personally- keeps employed!

it is infinitely satisfying to see the world sink into the passivity they now call "tolerance" and abject pacifism in such an absurd way even beyond rationality and sanity that it is impossible not to feel infinite joy in realizing that this world is now an immense playground for every enemy of society

So much for confidentiality. That was the kind of parole that could really help people out. Ive never heard of a parole officer getting someone a job
