Hmhmmm, to the one issue with special drug affinities of Histrionics, kinds of Borderliners, Narcs it seemed to fit "in cocain veritas".
It was mostly like a physical mentality test. They love it, they love the optional feeling of having a high value status with it.
It's like acceptable compliments, applause, the conditioned winning procedure.
But it is just functional, as long ou think in such categories and (let) connect your feelings, hormons that way. So covert narcs, and humble Borderliners let out their inner goals, phantasies of that race for being high value etc.
A grounded person knows, that value is just a fiction, that it is a puppet game in which the wannabe masters and suffering losers are puppets.
And of course, it is not absolute in every case a functional test. 😄

It's possible most supposed and much-hyped "high functioning psychopaths" are just misdiagnosed schizoids/narcissists/histrionics/etc. In fact in the book "Hysterical Personality Style and the Histrionic Personality Disorder" it's argued most male histrionics are just misdiagnosed with ASPD (on the rare occasions they end up being evaluated, often in prison).

What would you say is most likely a person who has addictions, is a smooth manipulator, strategic, very intelligent, appears normal, but escalates to almost killing the spouse? Would have had he not been found out. He worked hard to cover his tracts, but several things were uncovered. Unintentional on his part of
course. His addictions were cocaine, alcohol and women. He was able to fool a Psychiatrist and a psychologist. He took the gold standard test that took 2 hours to do. He said he knew what they wanted to hear, so he answered what they wanted to hear.

I carefully take notes while watching your videos to discuss them with my therapist. A person I am (unfortunately) intimate with, shows signs of sadism: public humiliation, intimidation in private, lacks empathy, also towards animals, sometimes. Once he has chest-bumped me when I told him he could not speak to me the way he did. When confronted with his actions, he never takes responsibility. To point out his failures means there will be punishment. At the same time, people who don´t know him well, adore him because he is helpful and generous. He says he wants to make the world a better place. He has, to some extent, a problem with alcohol too.
He had a bad car accident ( bad head injury in his childhood)

You have to pose as intimidating enough of a threat to him to have him back down. At this point as well he will leave. He is not engaged in this relationship for enrichment. This is coming from a person with psychopathic traits. In my world, dignity is self imposed. I cognitively care about boundaries, but instinctually don’t give a shit. Thank you for giving actually interesting information on everyone's favorite disorder, it's hard to find among the pop-culture hype of psychopaths being genius-IQ Machiavellians. I know you set forth how you would rework the DSM to categorize social-relational disorders and many differences between these disorders, but it would also be interesting to see how you would differentiate NPD/ASPD/Psychopathy in a diagnostic text for the "average" clinician or even layman. Basically, if you had the opportunity to lay out a handful of "boxes" that should be checked for someone mostly otherwise clueless to have decent odds of differentiating between these disorders, what would you focus on? Because it seems currently it's quite broken due to too much overlap, and it would be interesting to see how you could make them more "independent" of one another.

I think we have complicated things too much... I am autistic, my family is all autistic and they are all psychopaths, malignant narcissists or narc, histrionic or schizophrenic, no empathy... except me... it cannot be a coincidence. Not all autistic people are psychopaths but all psychopaths, narc, cluster B are autistic, that's why there are so many symptoms that overlap with autism (Aspergers). Narcissists also have emotional temporary psychosis, could it be linked to schizophrenia? Why are they believing lies they are creating in their mind, doesn't sound like schizophrenia to you? Cluster B + autism + schizophrenia... the link between all of them IS autism!
OCD is very common in cluster B, they just don't show it like cluster C because the level of anxiety is not the same... OCD includes hoarding disorder, many narc I know are like that.

In that video ⬆they state that research shows psychopaths are not anxious at all, according to that, their brains allow them to do all sorts of impulsive stuff without releasing cortisol, elevating pulse, etc. Then I see a video that says this personality disorder is correlated with low IQ, after that a research shows that politicians and people in elevated position are more likely to have psychopathy, which I know it's not the same as APD. I honestly don't know what to believe anymore. Right now that's all I can remember, but I know I have heard more contradictory facts about it.
