- After our highly viewed broadcast trailer walkthrough video in 2021; we've added tons of updates and equipment and naturally had to re-film the walkthrough video to incorporate all the additions and give you an up-to-date look at our broadcast trailer. Love how passionate you guys are. It's ok if you don't make weekly videos. At least, it's great to see your progress. One thing that would be great is a BTS camera with audio behind you guys while you do a show. Would love to see you pressing buttons, interacting with equipment etc. Love the work!

What is the total weight of the trailer, including the trailer, because I am looking to build one? I am looking at using a Ford Transit Connect that can tow up to 2000 pounds or do I need something with more towing capabilities?
We've never had it weighed but I would guess at or under 2,000 pounds.
Is there a specfic software you guys are running for the laptop that plays the music and commercials? Can I have some more information on that?
Yes! That's Farrago. Unfortunately, it's a Mac only software but it compares to very expensive solutions that the professional 53ft TV trailers use. Highly recommend it.
@@jrmvideo Do you happen to have any recommendations for Windows by chance? I just don't really know where to look for these kind of solutions or what they're called.
@@OVHS I'm not sure about Windows solutions. You'd be looking for audio triggers or sound cues.Try searching with those keywords.
Hey guys! I have a few questions, most of which I am sure you will get to in later videos . My questions are centered around the business aspect.
1) How big is a typical crew for something like a high school football game ?
2) Are you doing your pricing on a subscription basis?
Hey Caylie, great questions! We are planning to cover the overall business side of things in a future video but a typical crew size for football is 10. Our pricing is based on a flat fee from the school or college to cover crew costs, then we sell advertising and keep 100% of advertising revenue. At least that's how we do it for our sports broadcasts. Hope that helps!

@@cayliegracefilms Yes regarding the students! We actually have a really good program going where we have video students come in and intern with us. Then when they graduate, we hire them to be on our crew. It's been working out really well! I'd say it's definitely worth it. Not sure what your market is but high school sports in Western PA are huge.
@@jrmvideo with sponsorships and ads, are you generating enough revenue to just run the business ? I also see you guys have aligned with the school there. Do you cover other events at different schools? What would you say is your main source of revenue. Sorry for all the questions but I’m really interested.
Honestly, yes and no. With the ads, it definitely is enough to get by and get everyone paid including ourselves but I could probably charge more. I'd love to have someone that brings in new ad clients so we can get more reliable funding. It takes time to build up the advertising cliental but we're almost there! We mainly work with the one school bc we all graduated there but I'm always trying to get more districts/clients. Main source of revenue is live sports and probably concert season in the Summer. We do a lot of IMAG for local shows all Summer long. Was planning on doing some videos of that this coming year.
How tall is the ceiling in your trailer ?
Do you ever wish it had a window or a roof vent ?
Our trailer from floor to ceiling is 6'8". Window, no. (We like the dark haha.) Roof vent, yes. We've been in talks about adding one. The only real time we need a roof vent is when we're in direct sunlight during the Summer. All the heat in the trailer just sits there and doesn't have anywhere to escape. The rest of the year there's no problems. Cutting through the roof just scares me a bit. There's no going back once we do that haha.
How much was the total build of the unit, including the trailer?
That is extremely difficult to say. We are always adding equipment to the trailer. When we got started in 2020, the trailer itself was around $6,000 and we put another $15,000 in building supplies and equipment into the trailer to get started with the bare minimum. Since then, it's been constant additional upgrades.
