Thank you all for your continued support. I believe in full transparency, the good, the bad, and the ugly! I hope my mistakes can help you guys avoid them in the future 💚🐢
I love the content you make. I'm a big fan of you
I’m a big fan of you and I love how you help the turtles and they are so cute I love watching your channel and that’s mostly it❤
Continue with this. It’s refreshing and educational. I believe this is important as a pet tuber. I wish I had RUclips as a resource growing up caring for my reptiles. Then the ones I find now, never seem to share when things go wrong. Common things I could’ve learned from. Thanks for using the opportunity to teach others.
I wish everyone would have the same thoughtfulness and mentality that you have. Their life is more important than money. To send them off to someone else that will definitely care for them properly is fantastically important. Thank you for your consideration for them, you are a great person.
Thank you Kelly!
I’m glad Bean is doing better now! It’s refreshing to see the meticulous care you provide for your animals. Prioritizing their health and well-being is our primary responsibility as keepers, and you do a great job at representing that. P.S. Sweet lighting 😜
Thank you kindly! HAHA and thank ya, I am a professional now 🤓
Glad to hear Bean is getting better!! The care you give all those animals is amazing!!!
Thank you!
How did u put this comment 5 hours before the vid was released 😂😊
Queen bean 💚🐢 , glad that she is feeling better 🙏
Poor bean. I'm glad she's getting better
Me too!!
So glad she's doing better Dan! Glad you did what it takes to make sure they stay healthy !
Poor Bean glad she's doing better. Prayers they don't get sick . N they get through the season changes.🙏🙏🐢🐢❤️❤️😻😻😺😺
Fungal infections are the worst, I'm glad you shared this with us
Thank you for watching!!!
@@DanTheTurtleMan_ You're most welcome! Gotta support my fellow cold-blooded animal lovers (I'm a frog person but all herps are good herps). Hope Bean's beak grows back soon 💚
Oh noooooo our sweet bean.😭 here poor face. I didnt know they could have fungus this bad! I am glad i never had it with my terrapins yet i hope it stays that way. Glad that she is ok now,i hope here face heals nicely.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
i enjoyed looking at all your turtles moving and looking happy!
Mrs.Bean look like a granny now. Better not mess with Granny Bean. She been through the turtle apocalypse. 😂
BAHAHAH totally accurate !
I think it gives Bean some character.
Banger video! Super informative. Your love for your turtles shows whenever you speak! 👏
Thank you my friend! Loved the new video!!!
Name the next turtle Dinny
Love the effects
Thank you!
The way you said "BUSTED" and looking at Beans's face at the same time was hillarous 😂😂😂😂. I hope she is doing well and always
Desperate times call for desperate measures... how upsetting this must have been, watching your babies getting sick. With time, you'll figure out a setup that works in that particular climate. Even if it means keeping a different mix of turtle species, purpose-built winter accommodation for the others, etc. Keep up the great content.
So happy for you that you were able save Bean from the fungus! I wasn't so lucky 😢 I lost my Rainer DBT to a fungus. Tried everything you did except the keeping him dry part. Didn't know about that and evidently neither did my vet. His infection went systemic and I chose to relieve his suffering.
i think a care guide for a mississippi map turtle would be cool! A popular species but not a lot of info on their specific care out there
It's vengeance 🦇
🦇🦇🦇
Hahaha, that Batman clip with Bean photoshoped on top was beautiful!
Glad you liked it! I was cracking up making it
I think part of the problem is that it's an above ground pond, if it were in the ground it would've fluctuated less.
Bingo. This is a huge factor as well!
She looks like a grandma
I just had a baby common snapping turtle pass away from I guess that fungus. All the symptoms your turtle had is what my turtle had
I’m so sorry to hear that
@@DanTheTurtleMan_ thank you. It was hard, I did love her. She was a good little turtle.
Miss your big pond bro
Bean is beautiful 😍
Vote Bean 2024
Dan, wow, this is quite the story. Honestly, it really, really makes me think that DBT’s are really difficult to care for. Would you consider them a turtle that should only be kept by experienced herpetoculturists?
Am I the only one thirsty for turtle dude?😅
🤣🤣I appreciate you!
Since my old turtle passed away I have a hatching sized I'm not quite sure how old he is red bellied Cooter or northern red bellied slider and I'm not quite sure how to take care of him but I am pretty confident in what I already know and what I have figured out so if you could please do a series on that It would be greatly appreciated and help me out a lot.
Hey Dan I have two diamondback terrapins at the moment in a 55 gallon tub but was wondering if a 75 gallon tank would be good enough for them later on
I’d go as big as you possibly can!
Where's Ottis? Please do a vid on OTTIS Please!
He’s still with me!
Thats one of the reasons i am not a fan of keeping turtles outside. Dont think i blame you i really dont you take awesome care of them but i just like (prefer) to keep them save inside where i can control everything.🙂
what do you feed your turtles?
Very interesting, what about brack water as in their natural habitat. This species seem much more prone to fungus then sweet water ones ! No ?
AH I forgot to mention! I turned their water full salt during this time. The fungus is halotolerant, meaning it can handle saltwater as well.
Can you please do yellow billy turtle😊
are those the turtles you said you'll get back when you have more room or was it a permanent rehoming?
Nope! I’ll get them back in a year or two
@@DanTheTurtleMan_ ok then yay!
Can ornate terrapins Brumate November and come out in may?
Do u keep your dbts in brackish water or fresh water?
Fresh!
where can i rescue a turtle
