- Its a couple of days after Goodwill's Christmas 75% off Seasonal Tags Sale and Mum and I see if there's anything left to buy .........
Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
Its almost the New Year and I took my Mum to Goodwill to see what we could find. We had a mission to find a couple of specific items for some very special people.... but she brought a special surprise for me that I used in the store! Thrift with me as I show you what to bolo and what to leave there on the shelf and why. I found some amazing treasures including a Haeger water pitcher, two vintage Christmas deer, a Spode plate, a Polish Glass oil lamp, a huge Hershy Kiss trinket box, and a massive green thumb!!! The new flooring is going into the upstairs of our brand new house. I grew up with a very selfish unthoughtful Mom . She is 91 and lives with me she still hasn’t changed . Don’t take that precious mom for granted . You are both blessed to have each other
I have had a very similar experience, a very narcissistic mother. Of course did not realize it until I was in my 50, she is almost 94, but thank God she has been in a nursing home for the last two years. Look after yourself, put yourself first; your mother’s life is near an end but yours isn’t!

@@suzannemowat6167 sometimes it helps with the healing and forgiving . She has lived with me for 6 years and I take good care of her . We have been able to talk through a lot of the pain . If you were blessed to have a good mother that’s wonderful but please don’t judge those who haven’t . It’s a pain that’s hard to deal with and I’m 63 . It’s a yearning for love like no other . But God gave me 3 daughters and I broke the cycle

I just discovered that some of those silver overlay clear glass dishes glow green with a UV light. I was testing my new light when I discovered this last night. You should check those from now on.

I had a friend who has now passed but she was very poor when she started with her antique business. She would go to thrift stores and could barely afford to buy candle stick holders. She would go and buy one set if brass holders, come home and sell one piece for a little more than she bought both for. She ended up with a beautiful home and could pull something off her walls, take it to an antique shop and sell it for enough to travel the world. She often told me never to buy anything that I couldn't sell for twice as much. Her home was like an antique museum. It was very inspiring to see someone literally go from rags to riches!

Love ⚜ the pink deer. Hobby Lobby sold similar ones. They also had a turquoise. Great finds. How do you remove that clear tape without ruining the item??

My hubby and I lived in San Diego and would head over to Vegas almost monthly, and not only hang out on the strip, but also go thrifting everywhere from Henderson to Summerlin and any points in between. I’m planning a road trip for this next spring. I’ve moved to the NW and I’m missing the Vegas thrifting scene.
