- It was a busy day! I found treasures including a gorgeous framed original oil painting at Goodwill; shopped with Mary Beth of @FatBirdFinds and Danni @TheNICHELadyat the Vintage Market and chose some materials for our home renovation!
Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
It was a busy Friday at Goodwill but they were restocking as I shopped and I managed to find plently of treasure! Learn what to bolo and what to leave on the shelf and why. I found a set of Harry Potter tumblers, a Fenton deer, a Ceramica El Titi jar, a Monitor Lizard and a gorgeous framed mountain cabin oil painting!!! A tip for packing breakables like platters, mugs is pool noodles. Find them when on clearance. They can be cut into any size you want. Slit them on the side and they can be slid onto the plate/platter edge. They are sturdy and lightweight. I've used them to cushion heavy vintage sewing machines with great success.
Danni uses those to pack with too!

@@ThriftingVegas I would agree. There is nothing like the feeling of being able to make someone happy. No matter how it's done or how how simple the task.
When I was young my family and I had up to twenty Bearded Dragons as pets. All sizes. My sister insisted on taking one shopping with Mum and myself. The lizard stretched from her shoulder to halfway down her thigh and it just clung to her not moving. The checkout lady spotted it (let’s face it you couldn’t miss it) and she touched it saying, to my sister, “what a lovely broach.” The lizard moved and the lady gave out the most bloodcurdling scream and said, “It’s alive!” My sister, “literally,” cleared the supermarket. We were a bit of an “Adams family.”
You know, my Husband, whom I met in my 30’s, said he had never met ‘anyone’ who was not frightened by reptiles and rodents until he met me. That statement still surprises me. My kids are the same as myself and so are my grandchildren. Still the “Adams family” syndrome.

15:05 Coffee Tea canisters....those are worth $$$$ Should have a USA on the bottom. Even with a little chip, they sell. They are from the late 60's /70's.
I actually really love clear etched glass for decorating! It goes with any colors you already have, and pairs well with seasonal items. That divided dish you found is beautiful :) I love watching your show, you have a lovely accent!

Sorry to hear about the booth. I know you ladies put so much hard work into it. What was the reason you got rid of it? And with all the large items and furniture did you have a clearance sale of some sort? I would have loved to know about some of the items going out of there. It was just so beautiful and I admired all of the products you had for sale.

There is a thrift store in Spokane that takes dish sets and places them all in baskets and sells them as a single lot. It's a great way of moving a basket, too!

Did you know that if you want to string popcorn, it is much easier if you pop it one day before you string it. When it's freshly popped it tends to split apart as you are putting the needle through. But the next day, it is like soft Styrofoam and strings without breaking apart. A trick I learned when I was a kid over 50 years ago

My Daughter is in her mid 30's. Her age group is really into Milk Glass and good clear Crystal. Good pressed Glass. Things we are leaving behind. I can't keep enough cut Glass goblets. I've been stashing away good pieces of both. They will have their day!

I own that exact same Pasta machine. I bought it years ago at T.J. MAXX for 12.99. I do not make pasta with it. I use it exclusively for polymer clay for the art and jewelry I make. There is a huge crafters market for it if you tag it for that.

The Pasta Machine you saw would Thrill anyone in your local Polymer Clay Guild. I would appreciate your calling them and informing them of your find. Beautiful painting! I would like to share that it's best not to touch oil paintings because human fingers (even clean) have oils and acids that will begin a process of reacting with the pigments and oils eventually potentially causing stains! I worked in a major museum and am a painter as well. I so enjoy your work! ❤
