- Hey party people! thanks so much for hanging out with me while I shop around at Goodwill and Salvation Army! I love thrifting and goodwill and salvation army are the perfect places to thrift! Thrift with me for some home decor for our new house, a dress I need to find to wear to a wedding... and of course I get side tracked by everything else!

Thrifting prices are out of control these days, considering the things they sell are donated to them.

I love watching you shop!! I use to watch you while I was doing dialysis. I am beyond blessed to say I received a deceased donor kidney 4 weeks ago.I am doing great and this long video helped a lot today!!
God bless your donor and the family, what a wonderful last gift to give. My friend recently had a double lung transplant and is doing great! Take care of yourself and your wonderful gift!

Congrats gorgeous on recieving a kidney!! My husband/kids daddy was an organ donor and altho going thru the process not even hours after he passed of answering all of C.O.R.E.S questions theyhave to ask it ended up being such a wonderful thing once i received the letters from a couple of the recipients saying what they received and how their lives r now it not only made me smile but also helped me heal n melted my heart! So good for u for being able to start ur "new" life and even bigger thanks to the donor and their living family!

I'm gonna go grandma advice on ya for a sec. The bra matters. Trying on dresses with a sports bra will just make you frustrated. Make sure you're wearing a bra you'd wear with a dress when trying them on. I have clothes that only look good with certain bras, that piece of fabric makes a big difference.

Try a "water bra" or a balconette cup style...gives you a lil sumptin sumptin😉
And try dresses on with a pair of heels similar in height to what you'll be wearing.
Orrrrr...maybe a gorgeous ruffled blouse with a wide leg slack?🤷
And some spanx on all our asses makes dresses look way better - no matter what our size is. Pooch is gone!!!!

I always do my hair and a little makeup, and wear a good bra and underwear when I go clothes shopping. When you look good and you’re not staring at bunchy underwear it’s so much easier to find something! It’s a game changer when you are trying on clothes

I went to the end to see if she bought it. From the looks of it, no. 😭 I get it with an impending move. But was kinda getting excited about holiday baking in costume. 🤣
I’m not sure if anyone has said this yet or not but all you need for the snowflake costume is a white pair of pants and shirt. Then get a poster or you can use white printer paper. Cut out a huge snowflake with the poster or a lot of little ones with the paper. Throw some glitter on them and pin it to you and BAM ❄️

2 weeks ago I found the deal of a lifetime at our local thrift store.. it was a gallon size bag of Command strips, literally like 300+ command strips, brand new, for 3.99!!!!! Can you even believe it?!?! I wonder why the person bought them, and why they donated them?! 🤔 I love thinking of how an item ended at the thrift store, and it's previous "life" if you will.

@@crawleyr4919 used for hanging pictures or decorations. They dont damage paint. You just pull them right off when ready to move said picture or decoration...but they are expensive!

We have a very old tradition where the gals in our family are gifted a “hope chest” on their 16th birthday- mine looks a little bit similar to the long chest from Salvation Army! Mine is my mom’s, and you put memories and your wedding dress and whatnot in it.
In Australia and New Zealand we call it a "Glory Box" gifted at much the same age then added to with home goods like table clothes, tea towels etc, pretty nightware and clothing in preparation for a Girls one day marriage. Sounds very similar to your Hope Chest, once married it would then have the wedding dress placed in it along with a christening gown from any future children. It was a lovely idea. Hope you are well. 🙂

Wonderful idea to thrift for furniture and household items for the new house. As someone who has moved a lot, I would get some essential pieces, but also hold on a bit. It is nice to live there for a little while, see what you need/want/what looks good in the new house. Really exited to see how you decorate!

I often think about how unreachable Australia seemed when I was a child (in the 80’s). It was just some far away place. Now it seems like it’s within my reach and I love that!

The world has become so much closer, l was born in 1972 and people that migrated from Europe, UK or US went back once in a lifetime after retirement, it was like some exotic location we could never dream of and l can totally relate with your comparison to Australia 🇦🇺 seeming impossible to visit. I love that you’re 5’9” and still wear heels! I always pass on heels because I am also 5’9” and feel like I’m too tall with heels. But I think you’ve inspired me to wear some for my next date night 💜 by the way that white bench with the black marker on it? I believe a magic eraser will take that right off. My daughter found a permanent marker and colored all over our kitchen table and chairs. The magic eraser took it all off Lickety split!

Oh my god that yellow outfit was so amazing it just screamed happy! It also kind of gave me vintage vibe that reminded me of like a 1920s bathing outfit but updated and better!
I dont know if you have an Ollies bargain outlet near you but they are really good place for rugs and stuff. They have all kinds of things but usually a pretty decent selection of area rugs.
There’s one opening up tomorrow close to me. I doubt I’ll go on opening day, but probably will sometime next week.
I feel like our local goodwill has seriously increased their prices lately. It’s crazy!
They are watching those resellers’ videos too. They realize they can cut out the middle man/woman by pricing at a price someone is willing to pay minus shipping.
