Congratulations Dominique! I am so happy for you. There is so much heartbreak when a marriage doesn’t work, to find happiness again when it’s least expected, is a miracle. I was divorced for five years when I met my now husband. We just celebrated 43 years of marriage……..and……. we still like and love each other!

her marriage didn't work cause she is a very self involved woman. I could see it when watching her old videos.not trying to be toxic just telling it like it was. HER mother was upset when she moved a little bit away from her too. I remember she said "it's not the same"

I don't know why, but I burst out crying when you said you got married.. Maybe in shock because I didn't expect that, and maybe it still gives this 62 year old women still hope. I love your honesty. I met the love of my life at 54...we got engaged 2 years after, and he buys me flowers ,valentines presents and this big burly man goes into jewellery shops and buys me very sparkly things...my advice look for the nice quiet guy and approach them...they may surprise you like my David did...good luck they are out there!

Congratulations- have been watching your work faithfully for 5 years. I was appalled at how mean people were as you transitioned through difficult times. I am almost 10 years older than you - after my husband’s death from cancer - I married at 62. The nasty comments at work and online are proof of your wise decision. I closed down all of my social media. ❤

Dominique, you have inspired me so much. I am 58 and waiting for my wedding night. I am deeply Catholic and I know he’s out there 🙏
I have been married three times; the first time I was 17 and that gave me the best present of God, my only son. My second marriage last months and my third 12 years. So, I am almost 55 and people and my family judge me so much about me finding someone else. It’s hard to feel judged.
Don’t listen to those voices before your own ❤ you are growing and anyone who doesn’t support that isn’t helping that growth, you are perfectly imperfect doing your best just like all of us , be confident and happy ❤
@Maria-gy8yb My story is similar. I experience the same judgement. I am a devoted Christian and have been for so many years. The thing is, no one else walked through our entire lives with us, moment by moment, so they really can't know what we've experienced - they have not walked in our shoes. But God knows everything and He knows our heart.

I am so happy for you, I married my best friend from high school in 2014 and moved back to Alabama. We will be moving to Texas later next year to Brenham. I have 7 terrific friends retiring and several of us are moving to the little town.
I certainly believe you don't owe it to us or anyone to share any particular part of your personal life.
That said, having left this part of your life out really draws attention to the fact that it's hard to separate out different parts of life.
This channel did present the amazing, brave choice to leave Houston, family and friends and home to go live in a totally new city for a completely new job--- But the fact that there was a boyfriend in that new city COMPLETELY changes the story and what we learn from it.

In addition, I recall the story being told in such as way as to clearly imply “god” was creating the path before her and this gave her the bravery to take a bit of a leap.
When in fact, she was moving near a boyfriend or fiancée.
Side note: there is nothing wrong with moving for a boyfriend or a fiancée.
But making up a story about god and a little blind faith?
I found that in bad taste.

I've felt the last 3 or so years have been so trying for you as a "single" woman and watching you navigate through this time has given hope to so many other "single" middle aged women who are going through the same thing. However, all along you have had a man helping and supporting you emotionally throughout this time. As a loyal follower of your content, I personally can't help but feel a little let down by your lack of transparency. Dear Dominique, I found your channel a few years back and don't even know how I came to click on it, but always felt it was simply meant to be. I have been through more tragedies than anyone should have to in their life, but watching you just gave me strength and courage. Then, sadly and unexpectedly your life changed in the past few years and your RUclips "sisters" including myself have always tried to be there for you as you have been there for us. But now, I must be honest and tell you that I am so deeply hurt that we were all there for each other to share the sad times but you kept all the good times of meeting your now husband such a secret.We were good enough to share the cries and all bad times but not the good times. Not even one picture of the wedding, almost feeling like we're not entitled, but we were all there to lend our shoulders for all the horrible times you have had to endure the past few years. Your sentiment is understandable. I sort of felt shocked and a bit like you but she’s entitled to live her life and I find when you remarry which I did it’s best to keep it quiet until you know the person is right for you and perhaps it went faster than she planned. I understand her story. This happened to me 8 years ago when I met my soulmate, After my marriage of 24 years ended, my soulmate came into my life, and just like Dominique, my soulmate and I started out as friends. Although I do not believe in marriage, I am perfectly happy just being his partner, and as far as he is concerned, we are already married without signing that piece of paper. I am not religious, but the universe has been planning this for me for a long time, and when the time was right, he came into my life. How amazing is life?
