I watch this video over and over with tears in my eyes and simply cannot believe that just few months after this was taken Audrey passed away. She was so full of life and lived such a healthy lifestyle, and seemed to have many more good years ahead of her. As I understand she went out to dinner with some friends and then just in the middle of dinner had a major heart attack. She took such good care of herself with exercise, yoga and diet.... I just don't get. Audrey you will be missed by so many... Rest in peace sweet lady. ♥️♥️

Losing a mother is very hard on their daughters but about 49 minutes in this podcast, your mom talked about you and I could feel her pride in how self sufficient you have been. Some of those other comments at the end were very fortuitous and meaningful that you can take with you forever.

I was my mother's primary caregiver. I was very close to my mom and loved her always. I felt it was truly a privilege for me to care for her. I am her only daughter and I championed her . She came from a generation that offered her very little autonomy. When my dad passed, I decided I would remind her and support her that she can do and have whatever it was she wanted without feeling the need to ask my dad first. I miss her deeply and always will. Stay loving and stay close to each other. You won't regret it. Great Podcast Dominique!! Thank you!

This was my favorite podcast in all the years listening to you, Dominique. My mother was Polish descent, and my father was Italian descent, and they were married for 69 years and boy with a foundation I received. While it was painful to lose her, I have 1 million pictures to look at and so many videos, and so many childhood memories that it fills my heart and soul every single day. I am a very positive and loving person because of the great relationship I have with my mother. God bless you for setting the highest bar on how to treat our parents. I hope everybody sees this video.

One thing that I've come to realize 59 years into life is that Mr Right doesn't always come in the package you imagined he would. My husband is incredibly kind, loving, and stable. That man loves me fiercely! But I struggled a little bit in the beginning because he wasn't in the package I thought he would be. I think I'm the luckiest girl in the world, and I can't believe he was out there, available, and ripe for the picking. He is the grand prize.

It would all help others who are just beginning that chapter of their lives b) Does your mom still drive? c) what's her advice on personal finances for older women?. Especially making sure we have enough to live. I'm terrified of being, old and broke.

None of us knows how long we get to have this life, but what Audrey modeled so beautifully is the importance of enjoying and celebrating the time you do have. She understood the power of taking great care of yourself and your relationships, so that you can maintain quality of life all the way up to the end. What a special spirit! THANKS for sharing her with us, Dominique -xo

Like you, I recognized at a young age that honestly my parents needed to go separate ways. They finally realized that. I stayed with my dad. Looking back, I am now 49 - I always knew my dad was amazing but how amazing he really was for taking on the challenge of raising a daughter. In the 37 years with my father we never ever had one cross word. Unfortunately he fell at his house, hitting his head and dying from that fall. My world I felt like ended, the person that was my go to was no longer there. Its been 13 years now since his passing and the pain is still there but I also laugh daily about something he might of said about a situation. I am also the only child. My dad was 1 of 16, yes 16. So I had lots of aunts and uncles but all in another state. So, as a only child I had to figure out life alone - and I was absolutely ok with that. The man I married, 14 years older than me has 3 children. All grown with kids of their own. So, at 35 I bacome a wife, step mom and grandma all on the same day lol. I wouldn't have it any other way. It was a little challenging- mainly because I must have my alone time and down time. Anyway...love the podcast! I could go on all night - just typing this brought back happy memories of my dad:)

I LOVE this conversation as (I am currently 64 y.o.) I was BLESSED to know 4 of my grandparents . . . . they died when I was 6, 8, 12 and 19. I relish the stories they told of past generations, changes they had observed in their lives, etc. . . . . . . . I try to pass those stories down to my 4 children and 4 grandchildren because it is becoming very uncommon for kids to really know their grandparents let along their grand-parents !!!! your mother is a darling and your respect and love for your mom is so evident !!!!

Such a beautiful and lively mom of your, Dominique. Thank you for sharing her with us. I wish you knew how much she inspires us, and will forever! I am 56, and am lucky to have both my parents alive but not as lively as her to her very last minute. May she rest in peace in a beautiful place now! My condolences in your grief, dear Dominique. You are pure gold and she was too! Thank you, thank you both from my heart!

Good morning Dominque, what an incredible warm and adorable podcast with your mom! I was moved to tears, seeing how much gentle love, loving love, wisdom and grace the two of you have for one another. I have seen past interviews as well and have always enjoyed listening to your mothers wisdom and thoughts. I too was blessed to have been raised by such a graceful and elegant mother. Motherhood, and the beloved role we mother's are given by bringing new souls and life into our world is a "gift" like non other! Your mothers' testimony to you brought "tears to my eyes"..as it felt my own mothers' words ring through...even though she has been gone for 18 years! I loved your description of how our parents are a "Launchpad" for the next generation.....brilliant. I am now also referring to this amazing gift we pass along to our own children and now grandchildren as a grounding "anchor" a "steady mast ",in what at times can be a "stormy sea" but we are given that opportunity to be that "one", that "go to" person, "MOM", that brought us into the world. I too was gifted to hold my own mother's hand, whisper quietly to her, about the amazing gift and job she did with me as a mother, and my siblings along with her 7 beautiful grandchildren.
We carry our moms in our hearts, minds and souls forever. She is with you every day......and her" light now shines on through you ",Dominque. I think I see another "title" coming for your "next book" perhaps, too.
How about "Launchpad". Dedicated to your Mom....:) The lessons, we have learned from our mothers....I know I could have written more than one book by now, but "life"...is busy and grandkids...come running in the door now....:):):):)....so no time...to sit and write...but maybe one day!! Ha..a Ha!
Heres' to all our Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties, and more... that gifted us with "gentle loving embraces from the beginning".....and never truly ending even once they have passed.
    Best to you Dominque:)
    The journey continues.......:)

Dominique you are blessed to have your mother at 87. My maternal grandmother passed at 100 and I thought my healthy mom would live a long time too. Unfortunately she did not. We had a great relationship like you and Audrey. Audrey, you are enchanting! Dominique, you and I are a lot alike. I can be extroverted and introverted also. When I was growing up, I liked to watch tv, read and play in my room by myself. I also enjoyed being with friends and family. I HAVE to have my alone time now or I get anxious. Great podcast (video)!❤

What a beautiful podcast / video. I had a similar relationship with my Mom who unfortunately has had Altzheimers for the last 7 years. I see her physically but she cannot even communicate, let alone recognize anyone. I miss our conversations so much. You and your mom are truly blessed and I wish you many many years of togetherness.

Bless you, my best friend who is my sister has dementia/Alzheimer’s, she just has her 73rd birthday, she was diagnosed at age 69, I feel your pain, my sister still knows who we are but she can’t communicate, she tries and it’s heartbreaking that she can’t finish a sentence and she tries, I usually can guess what she’s trying to say. 🙏🏻❤️

What a good listen / watch this chat with you and your mama was, Dominique. You moved me to tears with your acknowledgement of the importance of valuing that mother/daughter bond while you have it and how those of us without our mamas miss them dearly. I was blessed with a close and loving relationship with both my mother (who passed when I was in my 30s) and mother-in-law who entered my life three years later and was there for me +18 years. I treasure and miss them both, and so appreciate the love and candour that you have both shared with the rest of us. Thank you both.
