I’ve been struggling lately… depression sucks the big hairy suck… Your videos are first on my playlist to help me make it through my day, one hoof at a time. I have watched other hoof trimmers but none of them are as informative, funny and calming as you. The interactions between you and your coworkers and the love you show each 🐮 are one of the few things that can make me smile on bad days (good days too). Thank you for teaching the world your craft, and being a healing voice for these beautiful ladies.
I’ve struggled throughout my entire life too - I just take each day as it comes and try t know that there will always be tomorrow and that whatever comes my way - I’ve handled everything so far and survived, so what ever comes at me I’ll also handle and wake up in the morning, with a brand new day ahead of me.
You’re not alone. ❤
@@TheHoofGP This comment made me tear up. You are such a kind and wonderful man. Thank you for such a supportive comment to this person. They truly are not alone ❤
@@TheHoofGPI know you're not alone this is how I handle my emotional struggles. When you make your cows feel better, those who struggle with depression feel better also. I do look forward to tomorrow as it's another day that the Lord has made for me and I usually feel better.
Anything positive makes a huge difference in chronic depression and I go out of my way to try and find places like this where truly good things happen. I love this channel!
I have been as well dealing with depression lately. Just seem to begin a funk that I just can't seem to shake without having two shots of rebel whiskey after work and a melatonin to fall asleep. These videos are definitely helping me out as well. Keep smiling.
My 2yo grandson loves watching "the nice man help the cows feel better!" with me.
❤❤❤You have a grandson who cares about animals
Aww ❤
Bless him! What a sweetheart ❤
That’s adorable 🥰
My 4 year old granddaughter loves watching too. She says, "Can we watch the cow video?'"
This trim shows how good at hiding pain a cow is. Shes been stepping on this problem for at least 6 weeks with her 1400lb girth. Oich!
I had an ingrown toe last week and was in a lot of pain. My chiropodist released the pressure and fixed me up. I didn't need a block! I told her about you. I call her the Foot GP! ❤😂
It always amazes me how you don’t slice through the soft tissue. It’s times like these where your skills are so incredibly tested and proven! ❤
He did say; @2:00 It's time ... 😊 we are all here coveting his skills. Sinners 😂 one and all 😂
Listening to Graeme is comforting, informative and entertaining all at the same time. Storyteller
The green, green glue of Scotland
GP jingle time! ..."She'll step out of the crutch better you'll see, once she's seen the Hoof GP!"
This cow had to have been in serious pain. Thank you Graeme for giving relief and a pathway to healing. Shout out to Craigie Boy and Kevin ❤❤❤❤
I am thinking how strong you have to be to do this and also how meticulously careful you are at the same time. Thanks for helping this beautiful cow!
You’re the first hoof trimmer I’ve come across here on YT and you’ve spoiled me. 😂 Watching what you do & your perfect explanations I’ve learned so much. You’ve also set the bar for hoof trimming as far as I’m concerned. That all said, I have no tolerance for any other hoof trimmers page. I’ve tried to watch others but the compassion doesn’t come across in the videos and tone of voice comes across sometimes as harsh. Or they don’t explain for the newbies (like me) so, I just stay here on your page. You have a gift Graeme. You should be proud. I’m grateful I found your page.
You really bring joy to many.
Love from America 🇺🇸
I'm not sure how I stumbled across this channel, but one video and I was hooked! I find myself trying to memorize the right length for each toe, how Graeme balances them, shapes each one and knows from a small black dot that there is a big problem. He cares so much about the cattle he works with, and it shows with everything he does/says. I'll not even look at others since you have confirmed I have found the best!!
Same. I WAS watching other hoof trimmers before the Hoof GP came up, but his precision and finesse kinda ruined the others for me. There's a vet I was watching who had to tackle a hoof and it appalled me a bit. Watching his equipment and technique, I was like, noooo, stay in your lane! You're making a mess! Leave the hoof trimming to the specialists!
So fortunate that SW Scotland has a great group of guy's who care about their healthy happy Cows✨
My brother and his family went to live in Poland and have been helping Ukrainian refugees and helping with the war effort plus doing community work in the area through the local church. They've been visiting us here in Australia for awhile but had to go home again yesterday. I'm nervously watching their current flights on the flight app and feeling sad. I miss them already. The gorgeous, gentle cows and your soothing accent are a welcome distraction. Thank you . 🐄❤️
My thanks to your brother and his family. It takes a very special person to do what he and they are doing I will pray for their safety. I recently discovered on my dna test that besides being 27% Scottish, that I had no idea of, I am also Polish instead of mostly German and possibly from Ukraine area. What a combination. But I believe most of us are more closely related that we have any idea of and that’s why I don’t understand the wars.
Tell your brother I thank him for his service and his whole family. I will keep your family in my prayers. 🙏🏻
"Earn" your money, you "make" your money by putting in a good days work. You earn your money by bringing all your experience to the table when you make the really tough jobs look easy. You always manage to make the nastiest trims look easy. Good job Hoof GP and team!
Graeme and his professional knife handling skills... impressive!!
I find myself holding my breath along with you and making faces as you trim.😊
I've had an infection next and under my finger nail. I cannot imagine walking on something so painful. But releasing that pus and taking the weight off, must be such a relief for the cow.
I'm so amazed at how delicate you are you are like a surgeon and you can tell you really care about these cows
Whoa! I wasn’t expecting it to go so deep. But your expertise and experience in finding where the problem lies is gold! Graeme you are making such a difference with this girl and I can’t wait to see a follow up and see how she is progressing. ❤❤
This was so difficult to watch. Fortunately Graeme was there to help her. Thank you for caring.
That "Black Dot of Death" was truly incredible! I'm glad you were able to help her!
That was a piece of work.
Thank you for sharing the story and taking care of these vulnerable animals.❤
You definitely performed a surgically-precise trim on this unfortunate girl! Happy that she should heal just fine 😊🦋🎶 Yep, you earned your pay 🐄
That cow had to have been going through it. Imagine all that pressure and suddenly it's released and then a little bit later another cavity opens and even more relief floods over you...
I’m curious if you ever imagine the cows having an inner monologue while you’re working. Like people do with their pets sometimes. Maybe I’m just crazy. Lol. As always, I appreciate the work you do and the care with which you do it.
You guys are the best!!!Cows are fortunate to have you!!!
Can we get an update on cow 173? The one with the keratin fingers?
Yes!! That is the most fascinating one he has ever done IMO!
Bless you, and your extended family for your kindness to understand what the cows and bulls are saying without words. All you know is "This hoof hurts, help me". I grew up on a goat & beef farm here in Upstate NY so I remember having to trim a few goat hooves myself, which is why I think your channel has affected me so much. I'm always so happy to get home from my work (as a Safety Manager) to find a new video.
Ohhh this poor girl…. 😢 so glad she has people who care about her to look after her..
Love the new shorter clips - and the mix with Craig - so keep up the good work Graeme!👍
You care about the animals and it shows. I'm sure if they could talk they would tell you how much they appreciate you really caring for them.
im now addicted to this
Oh how painful that must have been! So glad you could help Bossy out!
From Canada 🇨🇦...love what you do in helping these beautiful cattle; just so rewarding to watch.😅🙌
On an other website someone gave the advise, to watch someone else's videos since there would be more trimming, less talking and no distracting music. Well, lucky for me it is the nice chitchat, the sceneries and all the other content besides trimming, which makes your videos so valuable.
Thank you for your good spirit and keep it up!
I think people forget that there is a reason Graeme has the most popular ag-related RUclips channel, on the planet.
No matter what content the other hoof trimmers post, they are just no match for The Hoof GP's videos! How you manage to be soothing, funny, compassionate and informative all at the same time is beyond me, but you manage it all the same. The only thing I'd like to see would be ways to follow the progress of cows you post multiple visits for. So many times I will see a follow-up and not be able to find the initial trim or vice-versa. It would be awesome to be able to see the full progression! Regardless, I'm sending love and appreciation from the dairy state of Wisconsin!
Ive been a professional horsewoman for over 20 years, actually at one point had to trim my own horses living in a remote area. I more than appreciate the skill, expertise and humor in Graham's videos! No one else comes close! My daughter calls this " Dr Cow Zit Popper LOL" or " Dr Love Cows" 🤣 Our entire Scottish American family watches! Thank you, Hoof GP!! Crack on!
this is probably a stupid question but if you go to the one minute mark, there is a small black mark on the left side and a larger black mark on the right side. What makes the left market so much more troublesome than the right side?
Love what you do and watch every video.
I love your videos, been following a long time but this is my first comment.
Your videos and the interaction with your coworkers, farmers and the lovely ladies that you trim really helps me in a time where distraction is greatly appreciated. And as I got myself a very nasty cuticle infection, from 0 to ugly in 24 hours, I really relate to the relief that these girls must feel when you help them with the pressure of those sores. I can't imagine if I had to walk on this, as I hardly can use my hand due to one finger (nailbed) being swollen and full of pus.
Thanks, Graeme and crew for your effort to bring your craft to us "backseat trimmers" 😊❤
Good job 👍, she's all fixed up for now. 😊 Thanks for sharing your compassion and expertise with each special cow. 🐮🐄 ❤🙏 From Angola Indiana 🙏❤️
Love it when you take the time, which you probably don’t have, to respond to comments..I’m sure it makes their day!!
Sending lots of love to you guys and the sweet bovines!! ❤🐮🥰
i know you probably wont see this but your videos really help with my ocd and sleep issues.
i have autism, adhd and ocd, and it causes a lot of issues with falling asleep and a lot of issues with intrusive thoughts.
these help calm me down and give me a chance to learn. ive always loved to learn, especially medical stuff due to my own issues (that i wont discuss here unless asked because thats easily an essay in itself). i also love animals and the idea of them being helped and not in pain as someone with chronic pain issues puts me at ease.
these help me so much with my intrusive thoughts too. i also struggle a lot with them turning into delusions so these really help stop my mind from running before it gets to that point
i just wanted to say thank you. i wanted you to know that youve helped me and surely many others, maybe not with stuff like this but helped them in general in one way or another with these videos.
As I watch your videos, all I can think how sorry I feel for the cows with such painful feet (I also often have painful feet) and next I feel gratitude for you and your team and the work you do that helps those cows heal. Thank you for taking such kind and gently care for these bovines!
This cow could have died with sepsis if you had not caught it early and fixed it !!! Beauty job sir !!!
Wow, that was a complicated problem. So interesting to watch you work and take care of these ladies😊
It makes sense when we get even the slightest ingrown nail and how much it hurts. I've left it and half my nail removed. I empathize with this cow.
😢 Poor baby must have been absolutely miserable. Glad folks that care on on hand to help her recover. Love your work. 😊
Every time I watch a Hoof GP video I feel better. Thank you for all you do and making all these videos.
She must have been in awful pain - even when you uncovered the first pocket of infection there were still others to go - poor dear. I love to know she's in less pain and on her way to recovery.
Another wonderful video of your kindness and care for these lovely bovine friends. See the margin of relief you gave them is amazing. Great work!
Aww bless this lovely coo. I bet she felt a whole lot better once all that pus was released.
Hope she heals up fast! 😊❤
Poor baby! 😢
Glad they have you. ❤🐄🐄🐄
Only a trained eye like yours could have seen that trouble spot in what looked like lovely claws. Good job 👍
Graeme - your over-dubbing turned this vid into an ACTION VID! I was holding my breath, gritting my teeth and scrunching my toes during the grinder and knife work! Fortunately you brought me back down when the iodine and salicylic powder was bandaged on! Great job all around. YOU GO, MISS COW!
That poor cow must have been in tremendous pain.
Well done guys.
🙏💕
I was just thinking I could use a hoof gp vid and here you are
I didn’t even know I love what you do, dude I love it that you’re helping animals like that man it’s really cool
I'm so blessed by the mercy of healing you bring to them. God bless you, GP.
I would really enjoy knowing how they would have done it in the old days. Perhaps as you go you could describe the old method versus the new method.
Poor cow🙏. What did cattle do before Angel's like you came along?.❤
Graeme, you are clearly the Sir David Attenborough of bovine feet.
Graham, I think we should get in touch with the BBC and say that we have a replacement for David Attenborough to narrate natural world videos when the time comes.
That looked so painful. Im glad you could help.
Poor lady😢. I'm so glad she has you guys😊. Tyfs God bless you
Ty for you 3 helping all these precious cows❤
That was some beautiful knifework on the sole...the whole job was great but i audibly said wow at that clean circular cut you made.
Thank you! ❤
I understand how to trim a cows hoof, but alas have no cow nor do I know anyone with a cow.
I'm sure she's feeling much better already
Poor wee lassie! Thank you Graeme.❤️🇦🇺🏴
It will heal because you are the best and take your job seriously and love your patients. Love watching you work!
Can't wait to see the results after healling on this one.
Loving watching You help cows hoofs feel better
Thank goodness you are there to help these cows
Your videos are so calming to watch, and very informative. I love animals, and love to learn about them. Thank you for sharing these experiences with us!
Thanks for the video!
Oh the poor lass she must have been in agony n the relief she must have felt when all that crap was let go , an amazing job as always lads .
Poor baby! Thank you for helping her!
That looks sooo sore. Glad you're caring for her.❤❤❤ hope you do a follow-up video 😊😊😊
You did great thank you
Is it possible that you can show us a healed hoof?
Hi Graeme, I love to watch your videos even though I have nothing to do with cows at all! I don't even drink milk, rarely eat cheese but I do love cream. Coming to the point, you have a wonderfull skill and empathy with those creatures that I admire. In New Zealand where I immigrated almost 20 years ago, I have never come across a hoof specialist and neither back in Austria have I heard about it. My uncle was a farmer, he had about 2 or 3 cows as I remember but never ever mentioned that cows feet need to be looked after too. So, I am truly fascinated with what you are doing and thank you for your fantastic work!
Your uncle would have needed to deal with any problems himself. Though, with 2 or 3 cows, the only likely problems would have been a little bit of overgrowth, and even that's questionable.
There are definitely some trimmers in New Zealand, though.
I like that you show the cow's face.
One of your best videos of the year.
Enjoy your videos Your respect for the cattle you treat reminds me of what farmers and farming are about
JUST wish you would give updates ❤
With as much force as you have to put behind that crazy sharp knife, have you ever gotten yourself hurt accidentally?! I could see myself lasting about 5 minutes before someone has to call 911 🤣
Poor Mama...😢 I know she feels some better! 👍
Newfoundlander? "Some better" ❤
Very. Nice. Diagnosis. Graeme. Keep. Up. Good. Work. 😊
Really love what you and your family do for a living 😊
Poor darling moo cow! 🐄 she’s is certainly in a lot of pain.❤
Great video angles!!
Your videos always brighten my day. I love how you take care of all these lovely cows and bulls
Experience wins out on this job for sure, great job
lovely trim
Great job 👍
The fantastic green glue should actually come with an equally fantastic green rubber block 😜🍀
If anyone doubts the sharpness of your knife look what it did to the block! You just glanced off it and took one chunk out and left a cut in the next section! 😮 I know it's rubber but it's a harder rubber like a tire would be and you sliced into it like nothing with a glancing blow...these blocks last upwards of 4-6 weeks so that's saying something!
*4:52** time mark*
great trim.
You are the best. Totally amazing
