Shout out to my fellow curly who’s hair looks straight when wet too!! Girl, trying to explain this to someone years ago who was a friend... she had never seen my natural hair cause I had straightened it to the point of damage. I had cut all that damaged hair off a year prior to her seeing me again, and my hair was still drying when I had to go pick her up when her car broke down. My curls were poppin and I was just not aware to how curly my hair was at the time (it was normal for me lol).
Finally someone who has straight hair while wet lol. The struggle is real having very lose thin curly hair. 😩

I'm learning to love my curl type wich is a combination of 2c and 3a, i sometimes like how it looks and sometimes i just hate it, because it just doesn't behave all the time it does what it wants.

@@isabellamacae1 I haven't used them separately yet, so I'm not really sure. I'm inclined to say try the gel AND mousse first. Mousse is a must for my hair.

It’s so funny how, as a kid, my hair would be straight when wet, but form ringlets without products and effort once it dried. Now it’s just wavy lol. I’m still hoping to nourish it, at least to help with any damage and tangled ends. I’m thinking hormones/genes made me lose those cute spiral curls.

Adrian Wilson exactly ^-^ my hair are turning white because of an auto-immune disease (17yo btw) and I don’t see it as a sad thing but more of an opportunity as a person lol, we change mentally but also physically throughout the years and I find it beautiful
@Adrian Wilson yes! my sister had the blondest angelic curls when really young and now she has stick straight dark brown hair lol :D although is she tried the cgm-method maybe she could get the curls back at some level
@Adrian Wilson no, I mean she isn't on cgm anyways. and that is why I think she has stick straight hair... me on the other hand, I didn't even have curls/waves because I always brushed it and used silicones and sulphates. after starting cgm the curls came back but only after I switched to water-soluble products the frizz was gone and the curls really healthy :) I don't think I'm ever gonna go back to non cgm products but if it works for someone then why not! I don't think my hair liked silicones and sulphates that much tbh :/
@Adrian Wilson yeah, my hair pretty much explodes in rain but in a good way, it goes so curly when it gets wet! I think everybody needs to find products that work from them, it's not about being non-cgm or cgm, just that it works for your hair!

thanks for the review! helps a ton. i’m starting my curly hair journey & have been so indecisive and confused on what to use. i feel its easier if i chose one specific brand and i love how this line seems very affordable. i hope that i can start to bring my waves/curls back to life. i’m also trying to stay clear of heat & color damage as i’ve bleached it and gotten highlights.. as well as lots of straightening because i was never confident to wear my natural hair because of its frizzy mess. again, this helped a lot and as someone who has been pretty confused with everything to give my hair its long awaited love & care. reviews on lines i’ve seen really help me out. thanks so much!❤️

Yessss. This has been my favorite line since I've quit deva curl! Ive tried so many and these by far are the best.
It's so nice to finally follow someone with the same curl pattern as me! Your reviews help so much because I know what typically works for you, will work for me. I was a huge Deva Curl person- my curls always looked the best when I combined the Super Cream & Light Defining Gel. Since I've stopped using them, I haven't found ANYTHING that makes my hair looks nearly as nice and holds all day. I've been hearing that the NYM's Curl Talk line is a great Dupe and this review kind of sold me!

i am going to try this routine with my shea moisture leave in conditioner! i just bought the moose and gel yesterday and tried them both on one side of my head, the gel was nice and made my hair fluffy and the moose on the other side gave my hair definition, maybe this is what i needed! thank yooou

I just want to say thank you for this video! I heard about this product on ig but didn’t know to much so I found your video and you sold me lol I have curly hair but it is straight when it’s wet lol but I haven’t really been keeping up with my hair I’m a mom of 3 (ages 4,3,1) and I kind of let my self go and I wanted a change and wanted to start fixing myself up. I have been rocking the mom bun for 4 years and I needed a change. I’m so glad I found your video. I got all of the products you used and the same way and omg my hair looks so good. I cannot believe how straight your hair is when wet. I barely have wavy hair, like 2A, but it has mild waves when wet. There is no way it would look much curlier when styled. I will try your routine and see if it makes any difference. I am new to letting my hair be natural (I have always straightened it). Thanks for the video!💖
Started the CG over a year ago , I have noticed that my hair is so much better . I keep on trying new products, Curl talk will he next , plus it’s affordable. Was not of a fan of Deva Curl because they are so pricey . Love your hair, thank you for your tips , I keep watching.

Thanks for sharing an alternative routine Kelly!!! 🙏🌺💗 On another note they make great dry shampoo too! I don't use dry shampoo on my dry curls, but I use Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo on my son who has long hair! ☺️

I LOVE this line. I started out with another leave in from their naturals line and the gel, which gave sooo much definition and made my curls form into ringlets. But now, I’m just using the mousse on its on and found that my hair can last for dayssss. Your hair looks beautiful!! 💜

We do now! It's sold at megorgeous! I like the cream and gel, they give me a lot of volume! Although I think I like strong hold gels more as my curls tend to fall out during the day using these products. Not a fan of the mousse unfortunately... It makes my hair feel sticky and dry and it kind of sits on top of my hair (I have tried using less product). I have 2c-3b curls, medium-low porosity. Hope it helps xx
Love it and that the products are affordable. My curl pattern is loose and needs lots of hold. I’m sold on trying this line. I had used DC for years and am looking for something to replace it. I love a salon brand, but with all that’s going on right now I need to cut expenses. Thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing your routine! My hair can be very unruly but following your lead with the products you mentioned has really helped!!! Sometimes my hair still needs a little something on Day 1 and Day 2... (I guess it depends on how I sleep....) ... Do you use one or two of the products in the Curl Talk line to "freshen things up?" Most of their styling products mention frizz control and curl activating, defining, sculpting so I am not certain which one is responsible for the beautiful waves and curls I get on freshly washed hair. Thanks again!

Love the results. Have you tried to plop after you add all the products for a few minutes? My curls are loose like yours and I've noticed that plopping for about 20 minutes helps with the clumping.

the top half of my hair is like yours when soaking wet, the bottom have is spiral and the back have wavy. i have 2c-3c curls.

I think I need to give NYM another try. I have basically all of these products at home already except I use their All Eyes On Me leave in spray (omg it smells so good)...maybe I'll try the curl talk leave in.
I have 2b hair, but I've totally had that happen to me with the jagged nail 😭 my wave pattern can be really delicate sometimes and one jagged nail can make a wave clump go all wonky and flat. Ughh the struggle!! But I know that I touch my hair too much, so it's a risk I take 😬

I love not your mother's products! There's also Kinky Moves defining cream that's good also. I have near shoulder length gray, medium thin, loose curls. I'm just not a fan of the gel. The top is straight when wet, the middle down isn't.
