I've always loved George..I saw him at the Fox theatre in Atlanta a couple of years ago-Conway Twitty ..The musical was really nice-Joni Sang Joni Don't Cry with the imitator and other songs too.-They were there too.
If you want to realize how great George Jones' voice was, try singing one of his songs after him. This one's a good example. His range (incredibly high...then incredibly low) is a good example. And then there are those tremendous ballads.
I liked Video ID: WnJsldTCT6I better. There was a bigger audience was huge and was really awesome! I liked it when the band stopped and everyone was clapping. I love it when they do that! But the audience was just so small here! A GREAT PERFORMANCE but it was more like he was singing in a recording studio. It was still good but it just didn't have the live effect. Still great all the same. There's really no comparing. I was just in the mood for live when I looked it up, FWI. :D
Phrasing, notation, tone, flow, baritone, bass, hop, skip, jump and
timbre. George Jones had it all.
His voice was priceless.
I saw him do this live in the late eighties. Great show with Conway and Loretta, a special memory!

I think this was taken the late 80s early 90s
OK possum I get it.
He stole Homer Simpson's clothes.
Is that george's son playin bass
No Ron Gaddis, he was married to singer lorie morgan for 1 year, they had 1 child. He played w/ GJ 25 years.
Lorie morgan sang backing vocals for a short time.. a few live 80s performances, like Gillyes
jealous????
george jones is alright but seriously he needs to lose weight!
