I m 42 years old and in summer of 1980. My uncle Daryl was taking my sister and me home from the swimming pool. she wanted him to turn on the radio and play some rock music. He turned on the radio and this song was playing. he told us now this is real music and turned it up. And I have been in love with country music ever since.

Probably why it sounded rockabilly is that the Tennessee Three---Luther Perkins--W S Holland--and Marshall Grant (Johnny Cash's Band) along with Gordon Terry on the lead guitar (who I primarily knew as a fiddle player) were the back up band---and T Tommy Cutrer was the emcee. I have been fortunate enough to know and work with most of them. Blessings to the memory of George Jones. Earl P Ball

This was one of George's few ventures into rockabilly. He was quite good at it though. I think he could sing most anything and do it well.
