I don't remember the year but Tammy was giving a concert close to Lou. Ky. A number of us went to see her, and her and George hadn't been divorced too long. Tammy had just recently married the piano player in her band. After she had sang about six songs when out from behind the state curtain came George Jones, you could tell Tammy's expression was like all those in the audience she was as surprised as everybody else was. George took Tammy's hand and they sang about six or seven songs together, George just bowed and left. What a great thrill it was to see and hear Tammy and George singing together.
