Thanks for the review👍🏼. I actually found what I needed to know so thanks so much for that. I appreciate the simplicity of this model as well. I was a bit confused about how much coffee grounds to put with the serving spoon that comes with it, (I know… there was probably nothing to be confused about) bc as you said if you want 4 cups and the lowest option for that is 8 but you explained that so I got it now. I like the fact you waited a month to finish this review with additional information from use... appreciate the Farmers Brothers coffee tip as well. A water temperature would have been my only suggestion

Thank you! As far as the water temperature, it isn't adjustable on this model like it is on some Keurigs.

We've had a Keurig Single Serve for almost 5 years now and only ever used a Brita Water Filter Pitcher to fill it up. I believe this has helped keep it clean and trouble free. We have never had to descale our machine either. Ours has been a good one.
That is a good idea filling it up with a Brita! I bet that has helped a lot!
I use distilled water that I make. Never had to descale either! I'm glad to hear just good quality filtered water doesn't scale it up!

We have a Ninja coffee maker for the coffee drinkers in the family. This is nice that it can do both. But, time is of the essence when my coffee drinkers need their

If you want less than 8 cups you can just press the cups button to stop brewing. Also, if you press and hold the cups button for three seconds the burner will turn back on for an additional 2 hours

Great review, my wife showed me this today because I've been complaining that I miss my old coffee drip maker, but still like using kcups once in a while. This is perfect and simple. Will keep us both happy. I will be picking one up today!

This is so great. We have the pods but it can get expensive. So it's nice to have the option to make more coffee. I can only do single cups in mine too. You can do quite a few cuts with that reservoir. Looks like a nice design overall. :-)
Those pods can get expensive and I always find myself trying to get away from using as many so the pot option on this is great for that. So far this has been great!
@@AliciaLynnYT Not knockin the Keurig, but I bought a Hamilton Beach that makes pots, kcups AND has a little hopper for your favorite grounds to make single cups. I like Pete's Sumantran blend, that I buy by the bag at Costco when they have it. It doesn't come in kcups. My wife doesn't drink coffee, so I use that little hopper for my morning cup almost exclusively. We use the pot side to brew tea for iced tea.
@@dheckman1 I'll knock the Keurig myself at this point! Lol We have had a lot of issues with them through the years and finally after the one following this one stopped working, we went with Hamilton beach ourselves. Probably the same one you have. Wow you guys really like your keurigs 😂😂😂 that is crazy that the burner doesn’t stay on if you brew a single also 🙁 definitely a couple cons but this is a slick model! I like this one, I have always liked keurigs also, they pretty much got me through grad school!

The burner never stayed on on the original for the single serve side. I mean if you are using a single use cup you don’t need a burner.
I had to come back to your video. I'm having a heck of a time getting the grounds draw back in . Uggghhhhh lol
That drawer is a pain! I don't know if there is a good way to do it. Sometimes it goes right in and others, it fights you!

I just purchased the Kmart Keurig K Essentials. So far so good! I can't seem to find a reusable filter that fits for the K cup side. Would you know where I can get one?

I just bought the same keurig model as you did and absolutely love it. My only question is that the button to press for the craft side turns blue when brewing but then turns red after it brew. KEURIG customer service doesn’t know what the issue is. My daughter thinks the red light it to indicate the hot plate is on. The manual I see on the website doesn’t have my model😕 I’m curious if your pot also does this

Your daughter is right about the red light indicating that the brewing cycle is complete and the hot plate stays on for 2 hrs.😊

I just bought this model yesterday, I don’t know if they updated it or not but mine is fast for a pot. I just wish it had an option to turn the hotplate back on when it shuts off. This is my first Keurig.
If you hold the cups button down, the burner should turn back on for an additional 2 hours!

I have questions i got one for Christmas and my motor keeps running non stop and i fill it up on water the goes into the coffee pot. It never stays in the Reservoir. Im not 100% sure why?. I unplugged it and try different plugs. What can i do??
That doesn't sound like it's working right, I would contact Keurig!
Just got one today and I’ve read through both sides of the manual and mines turns on and coughs a few times as if it’s going to brew and it does nothing and after a few minutes on 12oz and 12 cups it just turns off. If anyone can help me to get it to work, it would be greatly appreciated. I don’t wanna have to go through the hassle of exchanging it for another new one

When you make an actual full pot of coffee, will it stay on and hot if you decide to have a cup on the side for the individual with let’s say a different kind of coffee can they be used at the same time?

The link says programmable up to 24 hours, but you say that's not true? We have been using the Hamilton Beach version of this but it's getting old and needs to be replaced. We were looking at this, but would like to be able to program it.
I'm really glad you left this comment because the one I linked to is the one we bought but it turns out after looking more closely at it, it isn't what we received. They sent us a cheaper version and somehow we didn't catch that because they are so slightly different. The one in the link is programable. The one we received isn't. Thanks for your comment!
I changed the link to show the one they sent us. It is $67 compared to the $115.40 we paid. Thanks again for your comment, we probably never would have realized this happened otherwise!

Only put how many cups of water in the water reservoir that you want to brew.
I don't like it cuz once you take it apart you can never get it back together you can't put the coffee filter for the coffee pot in without taking the part out and then it takes you two days to get it back

We bought one of these, brought it home, it never powered on. We replaced it, same issue. Can't get these things to work and I've had three other keurig models. Garbage.
We ended up sending this one back only because we realized it wasn't the model we paid for, we paid for the more expensive one with more features. We liked this one while we had it but have had nothing but problems with all the following Keurigs we have had after. We are on our third Keurig (different models) since returning this one. The other two both stopped working pretty quickly, so I'm definitely not impressed with Keurig at the moment either.
Went back half hour after i bought it. Basket wouldnt go back in. And a burning smell when i plugged it in. And it would do the cleaning cycle . Utter garbage. Feels like a $45 coffee machine.
I don't remember what number Keurig this one was for us, but after having continued problems with Keurig ourselves, we switched to Hamilton beach and it has been great. Keurig's quality has gone downhill bigtime. It's really disappointing.
All I am going to say is I am glad I didn’t throw my old coffee machine out. The kuerig will be going back to the store. Over rated junk.
