Thank you so much for this short and sweet tip! For most of my life I've hit my woods straight, but recently started going left all the time. Instead of changing the swing that I am very comfortable with, all I did was switch the driver and 3 wood setting and bingo, I'm straightened out and hitting far again!
Thanks Michael…you are the only one making a simple tube on how to set up the F fonction….( quiet simple I NOW understand) Thanks ErEf, Montréal, Canada
Michael, hoping you find time to answer 🤞 I changed this and cannot believe the difference. I was aiming right side of fairway as 2 out of 5 would go too far left. Not the end of the world, I normally either hit right side or of it pushes left I hit left side. Drives are now going straight. Firstly thank you, buy HOW? What is it that this has changed? Cheers. Happy follower.
It's about face angle. A more upright angle will point more left at address, a more flatter lie angle will point more right. If you already hit it left you don't need the face angle pointing that way too.
Like to see a TM version of the sleeve please, most of us don’t actually understand how the sleeve works on are drive. I have the m4 from a friend it’s 12 degree (to high) if I dropped this to 10 would my face be closed or open🤷🏻♂️
No there not mate , it’s to make the lie flat or up right there are separate loft settings for lofts …. Obviously the lie angle settings adjust loft slightly
@chrishamilton6718 the flat setting on a ping cog does not give you the ability to make the club more upright. It is to choose either : Flat standard loft Flat minus 1 degree loft Flat plus 1 degree loft
@@petermarron6890 always tight to remove are ping heads compared to other brands. Keep moving the head up and down while holding the shaft (that sounds so wrong 👀😂😂).
If you are consistently slicing or hooking, don't bother adjusting your driver just adjust your swing slightly. A slice is caused by swinging out to in, this can be for a variety of reasons but the most common is because you are setting up with square shoulders and whipping your body around. To fix that all you need to do is change your square shoulder setup to a closed shoulder setup. (I.e bring your right shoulder back slightly. It'll feel almost like you are turning your back to the target) -the opposite is an open shoulder stance, where you are sorta presenting your chest to the target. Closed shoulders, will almost guarantee you swing in to out and that should make a draw.
there is one setting (other than standard) on all single sleeve adjustable hosels that does not change the loft from standard and that is the setting that is 180 degrees (directly opposite) the standard setting. specifically for Ping, this setting will drop the lie by 3 degrees without affecting how the head sits naturally (face will not sit more open or closed from default setting). also specifically for Ping, all loft settings other than standard will lead to flatter lies with maximum flatness being this -3 deg.
Suggest changing to Taylormade equipment.. I kid, I've got the 425 cranked to 12 degrees and bounce between normal and draw weighting.. also stop hitting at the ball..it's not the target 😁
There is an interesting you tube guy who has a decent channel (can't recall his name) but basically says the 10k miss is right and proves it out. Btw I have the same experience with it. Very hard to hit it left (assuming you have the right shaft for you) versus other drivers heads with the same shaft.
Hmmm, I have a couple of adjustable drivers and a caliper. I measured all those hips and valleys (length and width, etc..) in each club and I found absolutely no change in measurement. Meaning no change in anything, unless you hold the shaft at the same point and change the club. But that will either open or close the face, so, I guess it will change loft and lie a little bit. BUT SO WILL SIMPLY GRIPPING SHAFT STRONGER OR WEAKER OR EVEN JUST CLOSING, OPENING, ETC... THE CLUB BEFORE YOU GRIP IT. YESSSSS, I AM SAYING THOSE ADJUSTABLE CLUBS ARE A SCAM. 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
Ping ..is all about eliminating the left side (hookers). I’m saying any PING you pick up, I’d say start by aiming Dow the left side of anything. The SFT is the only model.. that might help you.. cuz’ everything else is fading L. to R.
I did today! Not only was it straight, and effortless. Thank Mike, short and to the point. 0:26

Glad it helped!
Cant someone do a video on the effect of every setting on this club? This was way to fast a clip to have any impact on me to be honest.
What to do if like me, I am left-handed
Thanks
works in the same way as left handed drivers will have left handers shaft adapters
What if your miss is to the right mate
Add loft and if you have a driver with an adjustable weight move it to the draw setting
@@shelton4 this. adding loft closes the face. if you have say a taylormade driver you wanna put it to the upright setting with some added loft

I been using this for a while, -1 degree flat irons, it works

The more you drop the loft, the more your face opens 🙂
What if I'm left handed slicing left?
Shouldn’t it be on the - flat not the + flat as u changed in the video as I miss to right but used - flat setting ?
The +1 and -1 in the flat setting are for the loft of the club

My miss is to the right... is there an adjustment for me... talking slice here... and not pizza. Going to the large - seems to have helped some.

So I've heard that changing the lofts on drivers like this is also changing the lie angle. Which way is which?

@@suivzmoi I thought increasing loft almost always closes the face more and makes it more upright?
yes but depends on which brand as they tend to change differently
yes it does generally. this kept loft the same but made the lie 3 degrees l flatter 👍
Yes, usually higher loft will close face as well influencing draw, and lower loft to the right. It's minor though. Ideally just buy the correct loft.
If i have the Ping G425 and fade to the right, what would you suggest i change it to please?
No, it only really helps with misses to the left
Suggest changing to Taylormade equipment.. I kid, I've got the 425 cranked to 12 degrees and bounce between normal and draw weighting.. also stop hitting at the ball..it's not the target 😁
Aim a bit left ....
Put the weight in the heel side. Will help you square the face.

I'm guessing if your miss is to the right (a pull) then this would help us as well.
