    If you love peanut butter and chocolate, you have to make these easy keto peanut butter bars. You just need a few simple ingredients and freezer and you'll be snacking on this tasty treat in no time!
    The best part is that you don't have to use peanut butter. Since peanut butter can be higher in carbs, you can substitute with your favorite nut butter. Try almond butter, cashew butter or even macadamia nut butter instead!

    KETO PEANUT BUTTER BARS
    Makes: 12 bars
    1 ½ cup peanut butter or nut butter
    1 cup almond flour
    1/2 cup coconut flour
    1/4 cup powdered erythritol
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    Pinch of salt
    4 tablespoons melted coconut oil, divided
    7 oz sugar free chocolate chips, I use ChocZero brand
    1️⃣ 00:11 - In a large bowl, add peanut butter or nut butter, almond flour, coconut flour, powdered sweetener, vanilla and salt. Mix until combined. Add 2 tablespoons of melted coconut oil if the mixture seems dry.
    2️⃣01:43 - Press peanut butter mixture into a parchment lined square baking dish. Freeze for 30 minutes to harden.
    3️⃣ 02:23 - In a medium bowl, combine sugar free chocolate chips with 2 tablespoon coconut oil. Melt in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until melted. Option to melt using the double boiler method.
    4️⃣ 02:44 - Pour melted chocolate over the top of peanut butter layer. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired. Freeze for 2 hours to set the chocolate. Cut into 12 bars.

    I actually have all of these ingredients and have been wanting sweet snacks occasionally as of late. I have sugar free chocolate chips and also Lily's salted caramel chocolate chips so will likely use both.

    I have crunchy no sugar added almond butter, and lily's stevia chips. I'll make these and freeze them in much smaller squares. My problem is that I have to watch my calories. Tough for me to lose weight and keep it off on keto, even with exercise. But I'll never go back to grains, legumes and sugar.

    This looks absolutely delicious and will definitely be making! However, if you are on a keto diet, I definitely suggest you calculating macros for the ingredients you use. I have calculated all the ingredients and for 1 out of 12 bars i get from 8g-12g net carbs per bar, depending on ingredients I choose. I have looked for “better” ingredients with lower carbs and cannot get it anywhere near to the 5.2g net carbs. So, the stated macros per bar is a bit misleading and could make a difference on a keto diet. Nonetheless, this recipe is still do-able on a keto diet on days you are low in net carbs.

      The macros are calculated based off of the ingredients I use and inputted their barcodes into MyFitnessPal. It probably depends on the peanut butter you are using. I used Organic PB from Adams and ChocZero dark chocolate baking chips. The macros are correct for the ingredients I use.

      @@KetoFocus Sorry if my comment sounded rude. that was not my intention. I have tried inputting the recipe with different peanut butters and the lowest i can get is about 8g total net carbs for 1 out of 12 pieces. The peanut butter i have at the moment is jiff, crunchy peanut butter, which was the peanut butter i could find at the grocery store with lowest sugar and carbs. So at the moment 1 of 12 bars has 12 g total net carbs. 4g is from the powdered erythritol and 6g is from peanut butter. I am still happy with this recipe, but will definitely have to be saved for a day i am low in carbs.

    How long will they keep in a "bar" shape after you take them out of the freezer?

      They hold their shape for about an hour. Then they can get soft. Still good to eat but you would need a fork 😃

    This is a very good recipe. Have tried them with peanut butter or cashew butter and even a mix of each. I prefer the peanut butter or the mix of the two, but the cashew butter was good, just not as flavorful.

      It’s 5.2 g per square. They are higher in carbs because of the peanuts, you can use a different nut butter to get the carbs down.

      No, but you don’t want them to sit out at room temperature for too long. Either freeze or refrigerate

    No on the peanut butter. At least use almond butter. Better with brazilnut, walnut, pecan, hazelnut.

    19 carbs!!!!!! That is not keto!!!!!! A lot for just one single piece!!!!! Think abour this: 19 carbs for just a piece of snack, is it really Keto???

      That’s total carbs. You need to subtract the fiber from the chocolate and the peanuts. Peanut butter is higher in carbs. That’s why I say you can substitute with nut butter.
