Certainly Gen Z uses this lingo, mostly only on social media interactions or between friends but not on official scenarios. Also, what happens in the West doesn't automatically apply to other countries.

Because they are not just words, they also show what is the approach people develop. Language we use on daily basis determines how we look at life. When I heard this phrase I realised oh i was doing that for a while, I was letting my delusion misguide me as I wasn’t ready to confront the real situation. THE FACT IS it is not the solution. But if we normalise it, may be not all but few might actually think that delusion is fine. It’s okay.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:18 Gen *Z, aged 11-26, is reshaping language, introducing new terms like "slaps" and "dulu" with positive connotations.*
01:41 "Dulu," *once negative, now denotes self-care; Tube Girl exemplifies fearless behavior, transcending embarrassment.*
02:06 Gen *Z redefines words; "giving" means to emulate, "slap" signifies something good, and "mathing" expresses the struggle with complex equations.*
02:59 Gen *Z's linguistic influence extends beyond social media; dictionaries incorporate Jenzi slang, and workplace language undergoes changes with traditional phrases fading.*
03:25 A *survey reveals that 3/4 of workers believe Gen Z is transforming workplace language, with traditional expressions like "yours truly" and "to whom it may concern" losing relevance.*
04:25 Gen *Z's impact on language is significant, with the evolving lexicon likely to persist as Generation Alpha emerges.*

Language will change faster due to technology. Also as social media search engines etc start censoring, new words will come up faster.
We will end up with a very strange language at the end of 2030

Kind of a one sided perspective. There are other languages than English in this world, and if the gen z trend is something to go by, it simply shows that there are gaps in the English language.
These aren't so much in languages like Mandarin, which in my opinion is a great substitute for English as a global language.
