Mamba feels slightly better quality on the buttons and I really loved the look and feel of it in my hands. Although I currently have an Ergonomic DeathAdder RGB and it's still a great mouse.

BUT, the laser sensor on it has some tracking issues, if you like AWP'ing, th Mamba might hinder your aim, otherwise the stutter isn't noticeable. Lime it literally says in the papers of the mouse you need razer synapse. And in the review he stated that he uses razer synapse. Why are you calling him a life saver?

Idk in my opinion I think people over exaggerate built in laser mouse acceleration. I switched from the optical Logitech G402 to the laser Corsair M65 RGB and it is a definite upgrade. I've found with laser mice you need to be more precise with DPI tweaking, but once you get that set I don't see what the big issue is. Not sure how bad built in acceleration is with the Mamba, but in general I think the optical > laser people make more of it than it really is.
I have an old DeathAdder from 2011 with a scrollwheel that have seen it better days, so i bought the Mamba TE as a replacement mouse, and it was horrible compared to the DeathAdder. The lift off distance is to high and the accuracy of the mouse isn't the best. I experienced a lot of jittering when i tried to play Battlefield 4 which caused my aim to be all over the place. Never again shall i purchase a laser mouse.

In fact, changing the DPI on the mouse will eliminate your issues with jittering and aim problems in Battlefield. I'd suggest you give the Mamba another try. Looks like you had a bad experience. Have you heard about the "sensor dampening" issue with the new Mambas? From what I've read it's an issue where the DPI gets kind of wonky at super super small movements. Did you notice any issues with that?

Deathadder is just the old 124$ wireless mamba with charging dock. The new mamba is a more simplified version but I still like it compared to the original/death adder design. Yes it is lighter but i find that more beneficial when playing online FPS games, especially while playing lower DPI.
The only thing I really think I like better about the mamba is the chroma options. The extra buttons I personally wouldn't use and 16,000 dpi? I think the 10,000 on my deathadder chroma is nuts
I think Razer really messed up with this one. If they took the sensor from The Deathadder and put it in The Mamba, then lowered the DPI in this thing, they would have a seriously amazing mouse. One more thing they could do if they want to go even further in creating this dream mouse, they could put the screws from underneath the Mamba Chroma and let you customize the strenght of your clicks. Too bad Razer pretty much just put the wrong sensor on it and messed up everything.

Ok I have had only logitech mice for almost 15 years now, ranging from mx 510, mx518, G400, G400s and G303 I have now. I just can't decide wheter to buy this mouse or the diamondback 2015. Both cost exactly the same, but I do like the diamondback 2015 a bit more because of the nice and robust mouse wheel, but then again the mamba tournament edition has a nice shape but has those two annoying buttons just above the scroll wheel, which the diamondback 2015 doesn't have at all...Please help me decide. You will either find the diamond back extremely comfortable or extremely uncomfortable ...... by deafult mamba's shape is safer and it fits with almost any hand .... diamondback on the other hand is probably for certain types of hands ..... i recomend going to an electronic store and try out a diamondback dummy ..... if you feel really comfortable with it then just get the diamondback though if not get the mamba TE

When it comes to mice, it's always personal preference and the best thing would be to simply attempt to try everything out. The Mamba TE has so fat been a quality mouse, slightly smaller but overall it's nice especially if you love that RGB look. I think the Deathadder is nice but also it doesn't have the two adjustable DPI buttons which let you switch on the go. It's all down to what YOU want and over those two? I'd have the naga though
It doesn't move for me when i lift it up so Z axis works fine. When it comes to drivers i had a lot of disconnecting problems after lifting mouse for a second it was freezing for next 2-3 seconds after land. The fix to it is to disconnect mouse, reinstall synapse, reboot and do not switch USB ports in future(very annoying thing, had it twice on 2 different PC's). Cheers. EDIT#1: Find out that the fix for a lot of issues with sensor is to calibrate it to mousepad in Razer Synapse, or choose different mousepad from existing templates.

When you lift the mouse while playing, maybe like 1cm-1,5cm how does it react? That's because I'm playing on a really low sensitivity so I lift the mouse a lot. I prefer mamba, received it today, TE version. Had death adder chroma 2014, 10k dpi. It gave up, started to double click with one click sometimes, became annoying. For me the mamba is much more comfortable and smooth. I never liked the death adder chroma's mountian-like shape, too rounded, slidy and it just wasn't comfortable. I have too big hands, for me this is a huge difference.

+blake ooi The Razer Naga Hex is pretty much the best MOBA mouse; as for regular RPG or MMO games etc.. the regular Razer Naga is typically better since it has 12 button keypad instead of 6 on the Hex (the hex's 6 buttons are easier to hit so in a MOBA with limited abilities it's better, but RPG and MMO's can have 10 spell/skill etc.. buttons to be mapped easily) The only other mice i've seen that are close to the usefulness of the Naga are the Logitech G502 Proteus and the R.A.T. 7 and R.A.T. 9.

Kuervo09 In terms of accurate tracking, optical sensor can track better. In terms of surface tracking, laser sensor can track better. What I mean is, optical sensor can track very small amount of movement. And also it tracks fast movement without being spun out (up to 50G). But it depends on the surface used. Some of the optical sensors can't track white surface while the laser sensor can track any kind of surfaces. And to me, optical sensor is much better for FPS gamer like me ( I mostly play CS:GO).
Cuz Deathadder Chroma has an optical sensor while the mamba has a laser sensor. The sensor on the Deathadder is better for competitive gaming like csgo and other games while the mamba is designed only for casual gaming. Another thing is that the Mamba sensor has a lot of issues when you lift your mouse. People buy the Mamba only for the RGB lighting.

pkxd I have averageish size hands and I had the deathadder for about six months. It was kinda slippery and felt uncomfortable until my hand got like sweaty to grip it. The mamba is a shorter deathadder that I can fit perfectly in my hands and love it. Just buy it at best buy and get the warranty through them that way in case six months or a year later if you want a different mouse you go there and say the "laser is glitching" or w.e and they'll exchange you or you can get a different mouse. But personally I don't see myself switching any time soon.

The Mamba Tournament Edition is a joke. Don't be fooled by the "Tournament Edition" marketing gimmick. No pro gamer would ever use a mouse with blatant input lag, a Z-axis bug, and acceleration. I think Razer picked the laser sensor for its ability to do 16000 DPI but that's only necessary if you're using dual 4k monitors or doing video editing work on an 8k+ monitor. It's too bad Razer went with the problematic sensor because the shaping and lighting of the mouse is incredible. If it had the Deathadder's internals it would be a competitive grade mouse for sure. Hopefully Razer releases a wired optical version of the Mamba. Before anyone mentions the Hyperflux, I know the Hyperflux version is optical, but it's also wireless which means input lag and the price is outrageous. Razer just refuses to get the Mamba line right for some reason.

mamba is better. im using chroma v2 and mamba. i have used adder before but overall mamba is better personally

When you lift the mouse while playing, maybe like 1cm-1,5cm how does it react? That's because I'm playing on a really low sensitivity so I lift the mouse a lot.
And last, can you use it for fps like CS:GO?

+Mateusz Kowalczyk Acceleration is inherent hardware acceleration which you can't exactly turn off, liftoff distance can be controlled internally, you can use it for FPS, but in the end, it's a personal preference.

I have a DA 2013 atm, considering an upgrade to the EC2-A. My reasoning is mainly my hand size,which is ~17.5cm . I'm having difficulties from time to time with the DA to track people ,do precise corrections etc because I can't graps it firmly.

I prefer mamba, received it today, TE version. Had death adder chroma 2014, 10k dpi. It gave up, started to double click with one click sometimes, became annoying. For me the mamba is much more comfortable and smooth. I never liked the death adder chroma's mountian-like shape, too rounded, slidy and it just wasn't comfortable. I have too big hands, for me this is a huge difference.
Also, DOTA is not the best game to test a mouse. :D I would recommend any other competetive FPS games to see the real difference.

+blake ooi The Razer Naga Hex is pretty much the best MOBA mouse; as for regular RPG or MMO games etc.. the regular Razer Naga is typically better since it has 12 button keypad instead of 6 on the Hex (the hex's 6 buttons are easier to hit so in a MOBA with limited abilities it's better, but RPG and MMO's can have 10 spell/skill etc.. buttons to be mapped easily) The only other mice i've seen that are close to the usefulness of the Naga are the Logitech G502 Proteus and the R.A.T. 7 and R.A.T. 9.

Deathadder, mamba has the horrible 5g sensor. You could also wait for the Deathadder Elite coming soon.
Razer deathadder elite uses the 5g OPTICAL while the mamba uses the 5G LASER sensor.

Kuervo09 In terms of accurate tracking, optical sensor can track better. In terms of surface tracking, laser sensor can track better. What I mean is, optical sensor can track very small amount of movement. And also it tracks fast movement without being spun out (up to 50G). But it depends on the surface used. Some of the optical sensors can't track white surface while the laser sensor can track any kind of surfaces. And to me, optical sensor is much better for FPS gamer like me ( I mostly play CS:GO).

Cuz Deathadder Chroma has an optical sensor while the mamba has a laser sensor.
The sensor on the Deathadder is better for competitive gaming like csgo and other games while the mamba is designed only for casual gaming. Another thing is that the Mamba sensor has a lot of issues when you lift your mouse.
People buy the Mamba only for the RGB lighting.

I have the deathadder chroma currently and it is kind of big for my hand personally... is the mamba a little bit better for smaller-medium hands? I pretty much just play Counter Strike and I always have trouble getting a good grip on it.

pkxd I have averageish size hands and I had the deathadder for about six months. It was kinda slippery and felt uncomfortable until my hand got like sweaty to grip it. The mamba is a shorter deathadder that I can fit perfectly in my hands and love it. Just buy it at best buy and get the warranty through them that way in case six months or a year later if you want a different mouse you go there and say the "laser is glitching" or w.e and they'll exchange you or you can get a different mouse. But personally I don't see myself switching any time soon.
Allright well I will try to go with the Deathadder Chroma at first to try how it feels for a bit. If I don't like it I will switch to the Mamba :)

The Mamba Tournament Edition is a joke. Don't be fooled by the "Tournament Edition" marketing gimmick. No pro gamer would ever use a mouse with blatant input lag, a Z-axis bug, and acceleration. I think Razer picked the laser sensor for its ability to do 16000 DPI but that's only necessary if you're using dual 4k monitors or doing video editing work on an 8k+ monitor. It's too bad Razer went with the problematic sensor because the shaping and lighting of the mouse is incredible. If it had the Deathadder's internals it would be a competitive grade mouse for sure. Hopefully Razer releases a wired optical version of the Mamba. Before anyone mentions the Hyperflux, I know the Hyperflux version is optical, but it's also wireless which means input lag and the price is outrageous. Razer just refuses to get the Mamba line right for some reason.
