You did an excellent job of analyzing this poem. You made it seem so simple!
i HAD TO DO THIS FOR MAGDALEN COLLEGE INTERVIEW BUT NOT THE SAME POEM (SRRY FOR CAPS)
Excellent. I am taking a poetry class, and must admit that I am in over my head. Your clear instructions while working through a specific example will allow me to apply your method to my own course work.
THANK YOU for this straight forward detailed break down! I have been struggling to analyze poems because my own teacher has been telling us what they mean without explaining the logic behind it!
I'm glad it helped! Good luck :D
Hello,SO happy I found your channel and thank you so much for sharing!! I just started ENG 102 and I still struggle with writing let alone, breaking down the writing!! I hope to gain more knowledge and insight for better writing for my college classes as well as, personally!!😊🙏

Best explanation for iamb I've ever found, you win 🏆
Thank you for this. Poetry has always confused me but you explained this so thoroughly and in terms I really understood. It took the mystery away and allowed me to actually enjoy poetry whereas before I approached it with the thought that I would not understand it, so that coloured the event before I gave myself a chance. Now I know how better to approach and am understanding far better.
I so appreciate your time in creating this for us. It really helped me. :)
Thank you for your kind comment! That was exactly my intention when I created this video; I hoped to make the poem easier to understand and offer an approach that could be applied to other poems.
This is so helpful. I'm actually taking notes. For the part with devices, it helped so much when you put it into questions: "What devices did they use? What effect do they have on the poem?"
What a flawless explanation! Please continue making more poetry analysis videos...

Can you make separate videos individually on how to know the forms, devices, tones and meaning of a poem? I face problem especially in identifying the first three. Waiting for your response.
I may make videos in the future on how to analyze the form and meaning of a poem. For more information on devices, watch my latest two videos on Literary Devices Every Reader Should Know! Part 2 also has a step-by-step example to help you identify the tone of a passage.

Lovely. How far was the word 'lonely' a negative concept for someone who spent his time walking in the Lake District, where he would often have not met anyone? I feel it means 'alone' rather than lonely as we would now see the word.
This is amazing!❤
Very nice and helpful video.
Interpret this please:
Fragrant flowers filled the air, Beautiful blossoms everywhere. Choose a blossom white and pure, Give to the one that you adore.

Amazing 👏
Pls I'm a microbiologist but I want to study law now, i need help on literature
Is it stylistic analysts or literary analysis?
Great question! It's a bit of both. The form, devices, and tone section of the video focus more on style, while the meaning section offers a literary analysis. However, all of these parts are connected and contribute to one another.
Ms. Peer Editor thank you for your response! Your video helped me to prepare my term paper ! Do more videos like this ! Best wishes
Thank you so much😙😙😙🤩

Also in stanzas 3, it also says that, I gazed and gazed with little thought. What wealth the show to me had brought. This shows a sign of regret.
