I had an issue with the gearbox, electronic differential failure! I had a good warranty thankfully and Mercedes AMG Sheffield did a solid job on the repair. The car was 10 times better once that was fixed, a really solid motor. I had the GTS premium in white with black wheels, stunning!

I've been thinking of selling my GTR R35 (like yours) & buying an AMG GTS but i just can't decide. My mind changes almost daily. I love my GTR, l also love the sound & looks of the AMG GTS.
This is a hard one… both great cars but quite different I felt too. The AMG GT is much more of a luxury cruiser. GTR more a dedicated driving car. Let us know what you choose to do! 😁
I just grabbed a GTS and I couldn't even compare the 2. Totally different animals. But IMO, the GTS is heads and shoulders above a GTR. The GTR just doesn't turn as many heads

So u can't afford it. All used cars have issues. And fixing an amg gt is much cheaper then the competitors.

@rc350yyc4 amg gt have less catastrophic errors then Toyota corolla so they are therefore super reliable. So stupid point your making

Make sure the turbocharger intercooler fluid is at the same level after the test drive as it was at the beginning.

As a Bmw fan and owner, I must say this Benz is absolutely one of, if not the best looking car in the world. Seriously.
Tossing up between a 2016 AMG GT/S or a 2013 Porsche 991.1 Carreras S. I am told the AMG is no good for long distance drives. Suspension way to unforgiving. I am likely to use the car for long drives. Any thoughts between the two with respect to comfort over long distances?
What about the GT-C and GT-R?
Why aren't these more popular? Running costs?
Some of the second hand values seem great for the amount of car you get.
Good video, bought one of these as my obtainable dream car after owning many AMGs old and new but have to say I just couldn’t gel with it. Felt way too artificial and not well calibrated for British roads, and little feeling through the steering making it hard to judge the limits on track.
Incredibly quick and a simple map took power to around 620 HP.
You did however miss that there were issues on some cars with the rear wing sticking and not fully retracting - have a Google, it did happen on mine and was a pricey main dealer fix!

Additionally, thanks for mentioning the wing! Often on our videos the comments are a hotbed of added tips and this is a perfect example.
Most of this have stock 580-620 HP...
@@ScottishCarClan you’ve probably found out for yourself now as only just saw the comment. Traction once moving was fine. AMG put a lot of effort into how these grip, so much so you can’t do burnouts like the C, E and CLS AMGs because of the diff and powertrain. But on a cold off camber b road expect to be embarrassed by something like an ST150 - these were engineered on perfectly smooth German and American roads!
No they don’t. That’s nowhere near stock levels.

Thought it was the GT, GTS and then GTC and the GTS was 503BHP and GTC was 522 BHP.
