The AMG GT S falls right into the sweet spot of being usable but never boring. That's why it's so good.

Whenever I see these high end car reviews all I can think of how the car manufacturers and dealers are making a killing in savings on marketing. It would cost them hundreds of thousands to produce videos like this through an ad agency. Instead, they just loan out the car for a few days and they get the equivalent of a global 10 minute TV commercial. Pretty sweet trade off.
Nicolas Cage is God from logic, and from knowing ricers... just look at the design! you're in a tight parking space? well, you can't get out. you're in a parking garage with a low ceiling? well, you're gonna smash the door against it. the lambo doors at least only partially have the first problem, the sls doors need like a meter on each side to open! it looks cool without a doubt, but it's a totally flawed concept.
+givemeajackson Actually gullwing doors require less room than a conventional door because they open from the middle. Since most cars that have gullwing door are very low having to worry about hitting the ceiling is unlikely.
Great video I have the GT R version and here in Silicon Valley the Porsche is everywhere. SO this is a bit different and draws attention but not too flashy like some of the super cars. Your observations are spot on and very near mine.

As a car it still falls way short of a 991 turbo. You can see out the back from all angles in the turbo. The front of the turbo is shorter so its easier to park and merge into an intersection without inching too far out. Turn in is better on the Porsche. The Porsche has better cargo space. Better mpg in the turbo as well. The only thing that's a toss up for me is the looks. I really like the 991 turbo, but the AMG Gts is beautiful. I saw one in person the other day an really really liked it. I just don't think I could sacrifice all the functionality of the Porsche for it. Great review X-car and nice audio as well

Friend of mine bought a AMG GT 50year edition. He drove all the way from Germany to France. After that he said he didn't want the GT anymore. So I don't know about the comfort part.
I get a little feeling of it being a "Benzed" out version of a Chrysler Crossfire. Maybe because I worked with a guy who had one and I saw it everyday. But the engine is what makes this car. 503 hp in something that small must feel awesome.

Friend of mine bought a AMG GT 50year edition. He drove all the way from Germany to France. After that he said he didn't want the GT anymore. So I don't know about the comfort part.
I get a little feeling of it being a "Benzed" out version of a Chrysler Crossfire. Maybe because I worked with a guy who had one and I saw it everyday. But the engine is what makes this car. 503 hp in something that small must feel awesome.

yeah pretty much. Crazy to think how Benz and Chrysler together and Ford and Aston Martin. VW owning Bentley and many others...who would've thought.
