Hey everyone so some honourable mentions the baryonyx is definetly a must have as well because of his dual terrain use, as well as the dire bear! Let me know what you all think of the video down below!!
Cjthecheesedj I find the questzal a PvP dino because it has a platform saddle, witch you can place turrets on,also it's slow speed wouldn't be good for traveling long distances,so I find it a big raid dino,i would personally prefer the argy in single,it can carry good weight, and it's faster
The dodo also acts as an alarm clock for when predators get past remote base turrets. If you have a mountain forge for instance, you might make it there between the time the giga kills the dodo and destroys your ankylo and the dodo can be named the coordinates if you have a ton of bases.
Especially when getting Deinonychus eggs Edit: best way is to tame a lvl 1 dodo and level his health up until you are confident you will get enough time from dropping the dodo in the deadly pit of Deinonychus nest, make sure to aggro as many Deinos as possible, drop the dodo, rush to the eggs while the Deinonychus are all far away, you will also need to quickly get off and get on the flying mount and fly away with your fresh new Deinonychus eggs. Of course this is difficult but this is the best way to get it as an early tame
@@WhenDevilsDuel If you can make enough explosives to kill one and successfully guide dodos against one you probably already have a powerful enough dino to kill one.

Yea thier peirce makes them way better than rexes and since no other dino has that peirce other than giga if you have a good saddle you can take on about everything with a good rider on it

From my experience though the Pteradon is faster but has less stamina so in a race the Pteradon will need to stop and rest before being able to fly again. Unless the course is designed for the Pteradon then yes it will wreck the Argy in terms of a race.
Almighty Kue while thats a good point. A pure stamina build ptera would be able to do circles around the argy, and have more than enough time to regan its stamina. Dont forget thay barrel roll special.
1. Otter - eliminates the need for fur armor completely, allowing you to wear what's practical. can be used to hatch eggs much like the dimetrodon(though not as effective), Plus they're adorable. 2. Argentavis - you can't get a better universal travel mount, especially for resource runs. I always have a couple I can just dump crystal, metal, and obsidian on, while a third carries the anky/doedic's load, then I just cryopod the anky/doedic. They also harvest tons of meat and prime meat... oh and they fly, so no getting snagged on anything. 3. Anky - gathers oil, metal, crystal and obsidian 4. Doedic - nothing gathers stone better, is a surprisingly strong swimmer, and it's just fun to just use the rolling ability, which apparently now deals damage to dinos it runs into. 5. Megatherium - The best tanks for boss fights, and you don't even need saddles for 'em until the dragon boss fight. 6. Spino(take 3 or 4 of them into the underwater caves for a fairly easy-ish run). honestly, other than a Megalodon, underwater tames are too hard to get for a solo player, and will generally die to the spinos anyway. Just remember to NOT dismount them while down there, as they'll swim to the surface(there really ought to be a toggle somewhere for that...). really they only struggle vs alpha tusoteuthi. They have about the same dps as a rex bipedally, better stamina.. they effectively replace the rex in every way except for health, and can be used underwater. the downside is they're a royal pain to tame compared to a Rex, because to get it done in a timely fashion you really need prime fish meat or kibble. 7. Rex. the stamina makes them near useless as a mount, but well bred rexes can effectively become miniture tamed version of a wild Gigas without the rage meter mini-game, rendering taming an actual giga more useless than they already normally are in single player. that said, you can ultimately get by without one entirely, and everything in the utility role can be done better with the argentavis, which is why it's at the bottom of the list. It's good to take 4-8 into boss fights but that's really all they're gonna be used for, as they get stuck on EVERYTHING while traveling. Cryopods and use of the "clearmybuffs"("clearcryosickness" after releasing them all works too) cheat between releasing each one are gonna be your best friends. It's just too much trouble walking them to each obelisk due to getting stuck on rocks and trees between point A and point B to not just freeze and carry them in the pods. 8. Honorable mention: Basilosaurus - because it is a passive tame water dino that you might get lucky enough to tame as long as the mantas don't aggro or an alpha megalodon doesn't decided to eat it.. or you. It's also immune to the shock from the jellyfish and electric eels. Also it passively produces oil IIRC, so if you're gonna tame anything underwater... make it this thing.
Hello. I play for a long time alone (well, with one of my friend and on private server, so it's considered as "alone" :) ) and I really love Megaloceros. I scout the map very often and sometimes I get into trouble. With Megaloceros I can easily: 1. kill the threat simply by running around and use large hitbox of its horns, 2. run away, because Megaloceros is pretty fast, 3. jump away. With reduced fall damage and long and high jumps, there is no match for him. I can boost the weight and energy easily to make it a good transport. @@DizzyRL if you go on your inventory there are a few tabs at the top, click the tribe tab and it has a list, a bit like a diary, that can tell you what killed your tames It looks like you might need a new base
Thank you for showing and explaining number 5 and 4 that you showed i didnt even know they existed and they seem really cool with like wall climbing and the strength of number 4
my list (not in any specific order, just slapping dinos i use in sp on here) 10. Paracer (small portable base on land and is also a bit larger than quetz in terms of platform saddle size) 9. Rex (all around good mount except stamina 8. Quetz (portable base, why not) 7. Argie (good all rounder mount) 6.Therizino (insane gathering capabilities and is also real motherfucin powerful) 5. Stego (good for berries and early game tanking) 4. Yuty (good for bosses because of the courage roar and fear roar) 3. Mosa (its literally a giga + bronto combination but underwater) 2. Tuso (best underwater mount in my opinion 1. Otter (good because it gives you insulation that allows you to wear riot armor basically everywhere if you pump its melee)
Otters also have an increased chance of collecting pearls/black pearls when killing/eating fish. If you throw them from your shoulder into the water at some fish, they will kill and eat one before swimming back to you. (provided they can beat the fish) They even have some of the cutest little animations of them presenting the pearls to you. (If they are in the water, they come up and float onto their backs, holding out the pearls and if on land, they stand up on their hind legs and hold them out to you.
My Top Six in order of play and leveling up: 1) Trike. Essential to efficiently gather narco berries in order to do all the rest of the tames you will want to do. 2) Raptor. A meat gathering machine that also provides a speedy mount for long range exploration of the map. 3) Pterodon. A flying raptor, allowing you to get around the map quickly, explore, and access hard to reach resources. 4) Argentavais. Handy as having a Flying Pick Up Truck. A multitude of utility uses. 5) Da Rex. Pound for pound, no other carno does it better in terms of HP, damage, and relative ease of taming. 6) A 3 way tie between the Anky, Dodecurus, and the Castoroides. This trio allows you to build anything, in quantity, in any material you choose. You'll probably want to get these 3 earlier than the Rex if Base Building is your thing. I don't have any sea creatures on my list of first 6 dinos to tame because I'm not much of an undersea guy, as I don't think you can effectively play in this environment until you can make SCUBA gear, which doesn't happen until Level 81. By Level 81, players who love to tame have probably tamed 2 of everything they can get their hands on (male and female), and are surrounded by entire squadrons of Sabre-tooths and Dire Wolves. Tames worthy of Honorable Mention: Equus, Griffin, Wyvern (any flavor except Poison), Dire Bear, Kangaroo, Mantis, Purlovia.
When I was first starting out on Ark the only things I could tame was Dodos, parasuars, and Dilosuars aka the frill ones I got like thirty of them and they would follow me around like a lil army
@Lance YT I've been playing on singleplayer on and off for a year now. I've got a stables full of Tek Rexes and Therizinos, with a Yuty officer and Daeodon medic :D I've killed all the bosses. The Overseer was easier than the Tek Cave. Conga line through lava :v Currently breeding an Argi for Scorched Earth.
The rock drake can go air land sea it’s the best mount in ark it can get a tek saddle and it can go Camo it’s good for multiplayer on rangrok or any world it is the best raiding dinosaurs 🦖
I almost always play solo and always make myself a dodo coop with about a half dozen dodos all the time. I may not use them for kibble all that much, still haven't really got kibble figured out since I play on a solo server with increased settings so I don't have to worry about long tame times (and needing kibble) But a dodo coop does still provide a lot of eggs for player food. While I can say the Quetz is pretty awesome for solo players, it is a huge pain to try and tame one solo.
"the t-rex is the king of ark" Me: uh huh the real king of ark come here please titan dino: Am i a Joke to you? edit: wait the b- titan bosses and normol bosses: are WE a Joke to u? me: n-no
Garrett Amerson okay here is an easy tutorial: step 1: look at the quetzal from pretty close step 2: open chat step 3: type DoTame/ForceTame step 4: enter step 5: close chat you just tamed yourself a quetzal
Fun fact: the Portuguese sailors who discovered the Dodos thought they were absolutely gross. The only meaty parts of their bodies are the rump, which was greasy af. Eggs were very watery tasting as well. The reason Dodos went extinct is believed to be a combination of invasive rats and domesticated dogs.
Dodo can also be used for kibble to tame high level pterodons, it can contract diseases and be used as a biological weapon, and can be used in games like dodo-dodge or dodomon.
For real? He is talking about single players and a lot of single players (players playing in their own server by themselves and no one else) alter their server settings including increased EXP gain, faster tame times, more resource harvesting to make it a little easier for them since they are literally playing alone with no one else. In my sever, I have it set so as soon as you join in, you gain max EXP and can level up fully as soon as you join in.
Dodos may be week on their own *But a army of zombdodos is a force to be reckoned with* Yes I did use commands to spawn them in so they were stronger then they probably normally would be but still
when someone puts the dodo on a list like this it kind of up sets me like the baryonyx or dire bear are so much better. Have yoou ever thought to yourself Hmm u know what i would really take a hunk of meat that's main argument for its viability is horrible over a giant bear or a freaking water carno. (also the fact that it will buy you time with a rex or something is pointless the rex will one shot it then continue to chase after you and the base player has a better run speed than the rex. I'm not trying to hate on Cj this is a great video and channel, but including the dodo kinda just is pointless. and it not only Cj who does this
Got 5 Argentavis. Main 1 I bulked up his weight so he can carry more while the other 4, I worked on their att and health. I fly around the map sending the 4 in to attack and I pick up the scraps. Easy way to clean house. My 4 can take out a rex in seconds.
The Therizinosaurus (read: assholes) is a must to cut down on gathering wood and thatch. Only issue is appalling weight, so bring some good pack animals.
I hate every climber and bypass with Wyverns early game, whenever I can, otherwise just any flyer over a climber. 😂 But my Deinonychus obsession is now a problem, even if I don’t use them; unless I’m trying to leap of faith off cliffs. - Yes, I’m trapped in Valguero, I’m sorry, but flying fluff raptors!
All I eat in ARK is Dodo eggs. A decent sized Dodo farm is well worth it. If you tame a Saber, and breed a bunch of Dodos, you will be set for life with hide.
alphabetwiz Or you can ride your rex, reaper king, wyvern, rock drake, giga, spino etc out and gather hundreds if hide within minutes. Funny how people try to praise one of the most useless beings. Breeding takes way longer than going out killing things for food and hide
Shouldnt be eating dodo eggs cause if u wanna breed a giga so to say if u feed it kibble u only have to babysit it for 8-14 hours while meat is 16+hours
I would say Bronto's are good. I usually drive mine to the swamp and the redwoods to both gather materials but also kill everything so I can level up. A pteradon is perfect for scouting, I have one that is insanely fast and with mad stamina and he has saved my butt plenty of times.
If you are playing on Ragnarok, check out the entrance of the canyon, where it meets the sea/swamp. There are most always griffins flying about. Also when you fly from the canyon towards the green obelisk, there are usually one or two. And I think, there are also some going from the canyon towards the two beaver lakes... The last two are vague though, since I haven't played in weeks and my orientation might be slightly off. The canyon entrance though is a definite location.
my yutyrannus level 156 has 52 000 hp with 7 400 damage, 2800 stam and is mate boosted by another yuty around the same stats... It is really freaking over powered !!! I kill beta megapithecus and broodmother with them to farm elements !!! xD
As Swimming mounts go, I tend to prefer the Sarcosuchus since they are amphibious and just as agile in the water as the plesiosaur. You do need to be well armed while riding a Sarco, though. They're not the best fighters, so you will need to protect them.

@@DizzyRL if you go on your inventory there are a few tabs at the top, click the tribe tab and it has a list, a bit like a diary, that can tell you what killed your tames
It looks like you might need a new base
Still watching these vids 2 years later. Best ark tuber in my opinion. Informational and hilarious
When he is flying away with arg u can see in the back ground his plesiosaur being eaten alive by the megalodon
Thank you for showing and explaining number 5 and 4 that you showed i didnt even know they existed and they seem really cool with like wall climbing and the strength of number 4
Lv 51 in an hour....
I must be playing ark wrong lmao
Explorer notes and crafting narcotics can do that
my list (not in any specific order, just slapping dinos i use in sp on here)
10. Paracer (small portable base on land and is also a bit larger than quetz in terms of platform saddle size)
9. Rex (all around good mount except stamina
8. Quetz (portable base, why not)
7. Argie (good all rounder mount)
6.Therizino (insane gathering capabilities and is also real motherfucin powerful)
5. Stego (good for berries and early game tanking)
4. Yuty (good for bosses because of the courage roar and fear roar)
3. Mosa (its literally a giga + bronto combination but underwater)
2. Tuso (best underwater mount in my opinion
Really good video bro :)👍
Rex: I am the king of ark
Giganotosaurus: we will see about that.
Titanosaurus: we will see about that
This was a pretty solid list bro, good job and thx i will use some of these
Use the dodos as storage bins
Pump a f*ck ton of wieght into them and use that
As long as the dodo isn't moving you don't need to level up weight you can literally put infinite stuff in it's inventory.
Stikbot Andrew vlog no you can’t you can only put a certain amount of items on it same goes for any other Dino and player
Love the videos btw👍👍👍
When I was first starting out on Ark the only things I could tame was Dodos, parasuars, and Dilosuars aka the frill ones I got like thirty of them and they would follow me around like a lil army
@Lance YT I've been playing on singleplayer on and off for a year now. I've got a stables full of Tek Rexes and Therizinos, with a Yuty officer and Daeodon medic :D
I've killed all the bosses. The Overseer was easier than the Tek Cave. Conga line through lava :v
Currently breeding an Argi for Scorched Earth.
LUV YOUR VIDS ITS VERY HELPFUL AND VERY ENERGETIC!!😍😍😁😁
Good video :)
Me liking the channels I like, I haven't subbed but u still deserve more subs
The rock drake can go air land sea it’s the best mount in ark it can get a tek saddle and it can go Camo it’s good for multiplayer on rangrok or any world it is the best raiding dinosaurs 🦖
BᏆᏀBY 912345678901234567890 it’s not on ragnorock i
The rock drake is more like a messenger or a trading device
Modding Ragnarok to get Drakes is fun because they’re brilliant for some of the base locations and resource locations
You are also saying it's best for raiding but he is talking about solo players.
A handful of that is useless in solo
I almost always play solo and always make myself a dodo coop with about a half dozen dodos all the time. I may not use them for kibble all that much, still haven't really got kibble figured out since I play on a solo server with increased settings so I don't have to worry about long tame times (and needing kibble) But a dodo coop does still provide a lot of eggs for player food.
While I can say the Quetz is pretty awesome for solo players, it is a huge pain to try and tame one solo.
Pretty sure Argentavis could also pick up Procoptodons... Thats one strong son of a b-bird🙃
I also love how they kind-of recently gave the Quetzalcoatlus the ability to pick up Allosaurus.
Thomas Sarnari it can
Just like real life up here in australia
Finally something real in this game
He ruined my perfect village strong ass
I love this channel!!!
This was made for me
Joshua Zulu why cuz you're a lonely can't like me? Lol
No cuz none of my friends play ark
Lol I believe you but you don't have to hide it
Same, only I mainly play Solo because I like not relying on other players. Only trust myself really.

dont pay attention to the unlikes your amazing
Laney Wallace there's literally 2 dislikes and tf is an unlike
thats kind of a lot when you only have 105 likes and im just trying to be nice
so calm tf down
Laney Wallace 2/105 is not a lot. And those likes aren't a problem that imo because a dodo has no place on this list but it was here anyway
Nice vid👍👍
1:38 THAT DODO DID NOT CONSENT!!!
Another great vid
YOU ONLY HAVE TO BE LEVEL 51
I HAVE ARK FOR SWITCH AND I CAN BARLY TAME A PARASAUR

3:24 What it's been 2 days and I'm barely on level 20
Explorer Notes
I’m starting single player soon , and I knew you (the best youtuber) would have a video like this that would help me :)
The fuck does he expect us to tame a quetzal single player??? I can barely do it with 4 people
Garrett Amerson build a tame hut so it's traped
Charlie Freeman you could but you need a quetzal for that
No I've built one with out a quetzal
I use the Scorpion 🦂 method on single player. It’s pretty easy.
Garrett Amerson okay here is an easy tutorial:
step 1: look at the quetzal from pretty close
step 2: open chat
step 3: type DoTame/ForceTame
step 4: enter
step 5: close chat
you just tamed yourself a quetzal
The demons of Donald Duck came out for a split second there 5:06
The argy is true tho mine carries EVERYTHING
So incredibly useful! I use it on Valguero a to carry Ovis', Raptors, Wolves, Sabertooths etc to a taming pen.
I have a sarco and it can one shot parasuars and it's only level 40
Finally someone is talking about signal players because like we need attention to
T. rex are the KINGS of ark
Giga and titan: Hold my beer
*laughs in the depths of Aberration astride a Reaper King*
@cjthecheesedj how about an updated video, or do you not do ARK vids anymore?
Working on it :)
Play with Cantex he opened a pvp server for community. He is so cool!!!
Dodo can also be used for kibble to tame high level pterodons, it can contract diseases and be used as a biological weapon, and can be used in games like dodo-dodge or dodomon.

The bear is my favorite, strong fast good weight, a bit of a pain to tame though without killing
Thanks
Perfect cause im getting the game on ps4 soon
This one is a little dark but why punch a dodo when can but cant snap his neck
0:35 lmao the dodo fights back
lvl51 in an hour or so and i changed channels after this comment
Yeah
Smh y’all some scallywags, just got that comment ? You never know in some servers they have higher exp rates and can easily level up
Dodos may be week on their own
*But a army of zombdodos is a force to be reckoned with*
Yes I did use commands to spawn them in so they were stronger then they probably normally would be but still
when someone puts the dodo on a list like this it kind of up sets me like the baryonyx or dire bear are so much better.
Who uses on screen keyboard anymore? Seriously plug in a normal keyboard and use that same for mouse
Marshall Ervin he is on ps4
... I know I can tell due to the size of the keyboard
#1Giganotosaurus
#2Spinosaurus
#3Quetzal
#4Brontosaurus
#5Plesiosaur
#6Carnotosaur
Poor dodo
watching this is 2022 like.... thanks for the information? Actually it did help, haven't tamed a Thylacoleo yet but I will now
The Therizinosaurus (read: assholes) is a must to cut down on gathering wood and thatch.
Damn son where'd you find this. Not everybody is an end game no life like you. Don't act like it.
Giga is best hide gatherer or therezino with the harvest points pumped
Shouldnt be eating dodo eggs cause if u wanna breed a giga so to say if u feed it kibble u only have to babysit it for 8-14 hours while meat is 16+hours
I only play single player
Im so lonely
Great youtuber
haha me too playing multiplayer is top much for me
Zpalyer Games feel free to join my server then!
Are-gen-ta-vis? Are-gent-A-vis! Like everyone else
I would say Bronto's are good. I usually drive mine to the swamp and the redwoods to both gather materials but also kill everything so I can level up. A pteradon is perfect for scouting, I have one that is insanely fast and with mad stamina and he has saved my butt plenty of times.
Griffin I think is better the argentavis
Evil Lama29 yeah same but I mostly think he is talking about the island map
Yeah the Griffin is good but I find it hard to find them
If you are playing on Ragnarok, check out the entrance of the canyon, where it meets the sea/swamp.
Thanks
It is, but is only on Ragnarok
Forgot about the danger of the Dodo army. I found out about it in a very embarrassing way on a friends server.
First
i love quetz! tey can pick up mammoths too WOW
is my rex good-27 000 hp 500 mele 1500 stam 247lv
Simo 50000 no
my yutyrannus level 156 has 52 000 hp with 7 400 damage, 2800 stam and is mate boosted by another yuty around the same stats... It is really freaking over powered !!! I kill beta megapithecus and broodmother with them to farm elements !!! xD
Heh my 170 megalo has 62k Hp 1000 melee and 1000 stam i solo bosses with him
And i just finished my latest project 1 hour ago or so i just bred a spino with over 100k hp ready for the TLC patch
What I didn't say is that my yutyrannus has an ascendant saddle with an armor of 348.6 so she receives only 10% of the initial damage !! Lol
As Swimming mounts go, I tend to prefer the Sarcosuchus since they are amphibious and just as agile in the water as the plesiosaur. You do need to be well armed while riding a Sarco, though. They're not the best fighters, so you will need to protect them.
a matter ofd personal preference
Waster - sarco
scout - equus
Cargo - Diplo with levels to speed
Flayer - hate o use, Grifin in avilable
Combat / Gather - Therazino + Stego
Scout / Combat - Rhino, Bloodstalker
Slow but stedy allaround - Rock Elemental, Magmasaur, Karkinos
I like playing singleplayer because
1. No people aside from me so its more peaceful
2. Get in touch with in game nature when you dont have time in real life
3. I like being alone
Its just really soothing in my opinion
But there is nothing to do after a while
And here I am with my 15 Parasaurs, all with 1200+ weight. Easy to find/breed and even lvl up. It makes my mining trips sooo much easier.
The quetzel can be used also as a dino transport after you tame them or even before that
After you tame a new dino or use it as a trap
