I'm glad you didn't fight for rich men's wars.
You have lived to become a wiser and better person.
Your hardship served to turn you into a diamond to help others become diamonds.
One of the Top 10 things I am thankful for in life is that NO ONE had a phone OR camera in their pocket in the 90's......Cuz if it ain't on camera, it WASN'T ME!!
Same only mine was 70s & 80s. I was such fucking mess.
It ain't karma,Richard, it's Christ. No,really!
I know you don't love sharing the personal stuff but we appreciate the insight when you do. (:
We learn through stories and personal stories have the most power, pain and ultimately providence layered within them. I appreciate these too. And the seminars are effin life changing, thank you!!
Love you man, I don't care what's others think. The darkness you've come across its speaks clear and louder. I hope one day tell my story with smile like yours! Cheers
My highschool sweetheart Richard Lee Turner III, named after his grandfather (also in WWII, also grandpa Dick) was in 82nd Airborne.. His dad was Chief Petty Officer in the navy, but Rick adored his granddad and wanted to follow in his footsteps. He was shot in the helmet in Desert Storm. Saved his life. Just thought of that when you mentioned your grandfather before.
You've lived a full, exciting life and have put lessons learned to admirable use. Loved your book as well very much.
My grandfather was struck by mortar in WW2 as well. In a strange twist, it ended up saving his life, as well as the life of the man who carried him to sick bay. That man ended up staying with him overnight in the tents. The next day their entire platoon was wiped out.
You’re not old Richard. 90 is old.😀
Love the context, you are so kind to share this. I will share this with my 19 year old son so he can see how someone can navigate rough times and come out a good man.
Me too
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing 🕊
🤣🤣🤣 oh Richard, your juvenile side always makes me laugh out loud….scares the shit outa my dogs 😂
❤❤❤❤Micheal Jackson’s music
"use your 20s + 30s to build something that lasts" 👏👏👏
Yep, stay away from drugs and alcohol. Lower vibrational states! Yes! Thank you for sharing your stories 🙏
Thank you for sharing a personal glimpse of yourself. I enjoyed watching🙂.
"He's not the messiah. He's a very naughty boy!" chanelling Monty Python introjects 😜😂🤣🤣 We've all been there 🤦♀️ thanks for sharing Richard, it humanises you. 💐💓
I got glassed when 19, left a deep scar in my right cheek and above left eye, also my right elbow got few stitches when I fell on the broken bottle. Not at gay club, your story is better but the guy walked free, the court decided that he was emotionaly disregulated. His mother died year before, and because of that no jailtime, no compensation, no charity work, no criminal record, nothing.
I am SO sorry 😞
Thank you for sharing. I love the way you speak so articulately and reflectively, and with humour. You're a beautiful man Grannon.
That was GREAT. Your cup overfloweths, Indeed
The 'personal' stuff is very interesting, we all have a story to tell. Thanks.
I have listened to your videos through my entire journey of discovery of what it was I was going through and the current process of healing from toxic co parenting abuse. You really are something else, hearing your personal experience makes you even more inspiring and such a beautiful person.
I lived dangerously but not criminaly for about four year's travelling. I experienced violence and worked with a lot of seriously messed up people. But by God they taught me so many valuable lessons. They made me stronger. I wrestled their shadows and mine.
Wouldn't change any of it.
Thanks Richard for being so honest and imparting valuable wisdom!
THANKS FOR SHARING. WHAT ONE DOES BETWEEN AGES 30 TO 45 DETERMINES ONES LIFE. WOW. I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT PHILOSPHY STUDIES.
True for me, looking back.
Very interesting! Michael Jackson got me 🤣 HEEE HEEE
I can understand how a senseless hate crime could cause more damage than others. It's like finishing a movie and there's no explanation given for the killer's background or motive(s).
Well spoken, dear Sir.
Oh man the 20s... 😬 I will just say, if i wasnt crazy then and experienced all i did... I would still try and live certain stuff now in my 40s. So i am actualy grateful i went 'all in', i was not emotionaly able to build anything back then, i was just so anxious to live to the fullest, experience as much as i can and have crazy experiences with crazy people... Cus when i looked at my parents i knew all the 'freedom' will end soon and i will have to get serious and do something with my life. I got bored soon with everything, alchohol, drugs and partys became boring, also the people, so i started looking for the true values in life. It happened very naturaly, when my hormones went down i guess 😁
I also observe the people my age now that have finished education in time, got good jobs, got a house and kids before they were 30...now many of them are unhappy, divorced, partying and searching for that what a lot of us with crazy pasts found early on. But they cant find it and are lost in it...
My stomack sometimes hurts of shame when i remember my 20s, but i am glad i lived that life, a bit dark and dangerous, but now i know certain things - and if i ever have kids i will totaly know what they are on and when and will have good advice for them! 😁🙃 Thanks for being honest ✨
Richard you are Phenomenal Man,I hope you have a wonderful year🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
I deeply appreciate your story. I learn more from personal stories than from lectures. Thank you for your inside.
Can I just say that society is failing already when you get 9 months for the attempt to permanently disabling a person, It's almost like fining someone and telling them ' Cheers Mate ' While they're still holding the bloody glass. It continues to baffle me how rules and authorities are consistently unfair, lack humanity and respect but they're supposed to incentivize social behavior, norms and safety for us
He convinced a jury that he was trying to slap me and forgot the glass was in his hand.
@@RICHARDGRANNON Wow! Unreal!
I believe it's been intentional. All the ridiculous laws and short sentences for life altering crime.
Most especially sexual crimes.
Also the legalese purposely to be elitist and confusing.
@@RICHARDGRANNON Like Wow >< I wasn't there but as a jury wouldn't you rather give the benefit of the doubt to the victim than the aggressor ? Especially with such a ridiculous thing to claim. I mean ' I didn't mean to chop him up your honor, I just didn't notice I had a machete in my hand ' So far fetched and Thank you for sharing Richard. I do get upset when authorities drop the ball. Some online friends used to call me ' Critique Extraordinaire ' I don't even know how I managed to stay safe all this time. I'm turning 50 March 20 and I'm not any kind of fighter, what so ever
Good evening Mr Grannon sir!
Thank you for sharing dear Richard
Thank you Richard !!! Great vid as always !!!
Thank you for this!
This video is gold, thank you
Really cool! Thank you!
I grew up in the Belfast troubles at age 15. Right in the middle of the conflicts. Traumatic? Yes.
Life learning? Absolutely. If I reflect and replay those times in my mind it is like a movie.
But somehow you get through it and cope and learn from it. Thanks for sharing the personal journey. I could write a book 😂😂Take care and I look forward to your next post.
Solid advice.
Its really cool and interesting thank you for sharing i would love to hear more 🙏
Great video thanks for sharing this personal information
Proud of you!
Thanks Richard for this little disclosure on your youth!! It's interesting background on who you are today!! Appreciate what you do with your channel! 💟💟💟👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟
Insightful video!
Grannon's British accent is identical to that of late spiritual medium, Derek Acorah.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing. Yeah, given a choice, I'd never do my 20s over again, however, unmistakably fundamental in making me who I am today. I can sympathise in regards to the trauma associated with hate crime, a different beast. Thanks Richard
Richard, you such a gift to this world, and have helped so many, myself included. ❤ I'm so grateful you were "too fat". 😆 Thank you for sharing your amazing story. Love the footage Mohamed added!
thank you for sharing your story
Every one needs a mommy. Middle aged, and people STILL need to be told “stay away from other people wife’s and girlfriends” 🤦♀️ another reasons to isolate 😂😂😂 I’m starting to think they are putting stupid in the water, because it seems contagious🤭😝😂
I completely agree about the drugs and alcohol and bars and people in it!!! 😅
You are very lucky they caught the guy. Some people experience random targeted violence followed by a realization that there are nepotistic cover ups and abuses of the justice system.
He got away with it though since he convinced the jury that he was trying to slap him and forgot the glass was in his hand.
This should be GOOD 👍
That sounds like a light version of Trainspotting 😮🤔
I love that book.
Thanks for answering. I had no idea that the movie is based on a book. I've watched l and ll only because of Ewan McGregor .
Painfully beautiful story. Thank you, Richard
That's awesome.
"Stay away from people's wives and girlfriends."

God Bless Our World 🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍!
You may have gone to school with my daughters husband. He went to Birkenhead too!
I appreciat ed your comment about staying away from others who engage in drugs, this comment made me feel uplifted. Thank you
More vids like these please
The police siren at the end Richard 😝
Good advice, Richard. It's just "life" that we learn afterward.
Tabs for me TAB like.
Have you ever looked at the transits in your birth chart around the time you were glassed? Such a pivotal time in your life.
I really appreciate you sharing your experiences. People are fascinating. So fascinating how we all have a story... our own experiences that have shaped us. Our own view of the World. Our own ways of navigating the highs & lows & being human. I can't even begin to wrap my brain around someone going out with intent to hurt another for anything... but especially for their sexual preferences. I don't care who people sleep with or find attractive. It's none of my business. Live and let live. Sad to see how many people are hurting, thus inflicting hurt on others. I learned the importance of slowing down & really being present in my life in my 20's. The importance of appreciating the tiniest things. Seeing my humans for who they truly are.
My 20s 30s and now early 40s has all been madness I think a good part of the reason is because I'm still with the same narcissistic person.... Not all her fault , iam far from perfect and have a binge drink mentality.... Sure what can ya do
AMEN AMEN Stay out of bars and away from drugs and alcohol, agreed - people immersed in that lifestyle have issues and energies that will effect your life in a negative way 💯💯💯
3:34 😁great smile! , thanks for sharing your past with us all & with a bit of humor 4:34 😄 as always it's a pleasure to watch what you share and the message and advice you leave us with 🙏
I love your laugh. And truly appreciate your wisdom, learned the hard way, and your book knowledge which you share so freely. Very much appreciated ❤️
This is a very useful video - it shows us that you *can* change, if you want to. It would be interesting if you could do a video about karma!
Yep.
Like others have commented, the best thing about your past is that you survived it.
You are such an interesting guy.
i wish my 20s weren't such shit but i'm glad i'm flying right in my 30s. btw you didn't miss anything in the army
I enjoyed reading the Cult of One. Was insightful.
But I am confused about the situation with Sam Vaknin. Why the big fall out. Sam says he won't work with you again what happened?
Me too. Vaknin put out a vid and so did Visceral Gravitas. Whatever happened, I still watch both of their vids.
@@michelenoia6767 we may never find out...
Visceral gravitas knows he’s a borderline Richard Grannon is a borderline , I told deef and he agrees also. It’s so obvious RG is cluster b. I was onto him years ago.
Why don't you update your Spotify anymore ?
Hi Richard.. The younger you.. looks very angry with the world and traumatised... I'm glad that isn't you anymore... Great advice at the end... Thanks for sharing your journey so far.
RG is the secular version of a television evangelist preacher - speaking truth while living a lie (covert narc).
That’s what your 20’s are for…you stumble through them and then hope like hell you learned your lessons before you go into your 30’s, otherwise you could be repeating those same lessons. 😂
Demons and sticky shit… yes. I know exactly what you mean. Its no bueno
Thank you for sharing this with us. I will make my 21 year old son watch it, as he's also a smart guy (like you), but one who is tempted by the world you warn against here. Somehow I believe he'll take your advice over mine lol.
Youth is wasted on the young dadi. 🤔🤷 I got the book. 👌😉
That was really eerie, listening to you tell your story! It felt like you were my male counterpart... like if I was a man, I would have been you (except for all of the martial arts and military stuff). Way back then, I did a lot of the same sort of stuff (which was actually completely out of character - man, I was so lost) and listening to you, I just kept thinking, "same, same, same .... same"! I thought I was the only one . I've never met anyone quite like me before; and I'm often misjudged and misunderstood. After an awful lot of trauma, I ended up in Amsterdam with a narcissistic ex-pat Englishman (also) Richard, who was involved in all sorts of things and a whole surreal world of crime I'd never experienced before. Back in Australia, I was also a "door girl" in disco's whilst attending Uni - again, a whole different world to the sheltered private school girls' world I'd grown up in. Dux of the school, my teachers also had high expectations of me. I'm still getting over the shame and pain of my own 20's and 30's to be honest, which is one of the reasons I enjoy your you tube videos so much. I can so identify with so much of what you say and how you feel. It's kind of refreshing because I'm so used to men being so different to me - narcissists, liars etc. I love your honesty. Yes, I'm a recovering "narcissist attracter" as well. There were some lovely men interested in me, but do you think I could find them attractive? Nope! At any rate, I'm old now and finally settling down into a genuine sense of spiritual contentment. The lessons I learned were hard, and I wish I'd have learned them any other way, but it is what it is and it was what it was. Thank you for all that you do. I really do appreciate your work.
Did you complete your degree at Aston University? Which year?
A degree is nothing everyone has one . This guy is underqualified and over rated. And he’s a narcissist to make everything worse if it wasn’t bad enough already.
💜
😍
🙏🙏🙏
You learned something!?
Not ok to cause Sam to lose control over his channel, especially after all you learned from him. This is really sick.
What do you mean by "lose control?"
But Richard, why go to a gay club ? 🤷♀️ Am I missing something 🤔
Maybe his co-workers or friends were gay. Plenty of "straight" people go to watch Drag shows too - very entertaining actually.
I agree
What are you saying Jackie ? “If you don’t want to get glassed don’t go to gay bars?” Sounds like victim blaming to me 🤔
@@christinebuckingham8369 Can't you see they're normalising transgender having them teach this crap to 3 Year olds. I feel for the youngsters who've gone through surgery with regret because they were confused. Can’t you see it's population control via agenda 21/30?
@@RICHARDGRANNON she ment " why R U gay?"
