- #SpringfieldArmory has announced a brand new #9mm #microcompact #pistol, the Hellcat! We go over the features that set this new #gun apart from the competition and then take it in the #range and put it to work. If you like what you see you can check it out on our #KyGunCo website!!
I do appreciate you opening your groups up for us to feel better about our shooting abilities.
I like this guy because he isn't playing the role of Mr. Tacticool with the tats and the swagger. Instead, its all about the gun.
It's kind of refreshing to hear about the gun. No click bait .
'Bout damn time
He is my favorite, and he just gives you the truth of what he has learned about a new gun. He has a super great personality.
Powernoodle , I met Patrick the owner several years ago after moving to KY. He’s business savvy and he and his employees are as professional and courteous as can be. The buyer and customer service is excellent! They’ve expanded with a great gun range and Power Sport and has a great business model; one of the most successful “Gun Co” I’ve seen. He offers up office space for Teaching classes(took a CMP Clinic) Hunting and CCDW permits. Been a customer every since I first discovered. I prefer to drive 40 min to Bardstown, KY because their Range Officers are diligent!
Exactly
Best review yet because of the fact you put it head to head with other guns for size comparison.
Need. I have an XD40 subcompact. Not only is it my favorite carry pistol it is easily my favorite pistol period. Springfield has a way of making beefy but not bulky, great looking and handling pistols. I. Will definitely have one of these little guys. Thanks for the demo.
Love my XDs!!!
Would love to try the Hellcat!!!
It's driving me crazy, can't wait for mine to come in. Looks like I'll be getting another optic too!
Thanks! I always enjoy your videos. Seems like a great little pistol.
Thank you for the great review I really appreciate your videos 👏🏻👍🏻
All what I can say about it is WOOOOW.
Awesome presentation dear friend 👍
For some reason I thought you were about to say the brand new Springfield Hellcat 9mm 365. Thx for having good service KYGCO.
Very nice gun. I wouldn't mind having one of those. Thanks for the video.
Thats excellent review. Thank you.
NICE presentation...just the FACTS.
Subbed
Springfield killed this one nice gun
Karlovac-Croatia
Thanks for a solid, fact-filled evaluation. Great video!
It's great to live in a time when we can pick from so many excellent options for concealed carry.
The Hellcat is nice, but a "Me, too!" product. Except for the included high-cap magazine, it offers nothing the P365 hasn't had for the past year. Sig already has an optics-ready P365, and even offers a manual selector version (which my 1911-leaning wife prefers).
Glock and other manufacturers were there before Springfield, but I welcome the competition.
Bottom line: If you're a Springfield fan, this is your pride and joy. If you're a Sig fan, it's not even news. If you're a Glock fan, the Glock 43 is all you see on the shelf.
I feel no need to put any of them down; it's a brand-centered choice.
I love Springfield Armory products! I have a XD-9 service pistol in 9mm and It is a marriage made in heaven. It feels good in my hand and shoots accurate. I wish I could shoot it more but this ammo shortage of 2020 has me stockpiling instead of practicing. Not a good time to be out wasting ammo because you just can't replace it as easy.
If I decide its the best carry option for me - I will buy it, there still selling /making guns so they are still supporting the 2A despite a bad decision with Illinois FFL
Like the “Stand off” guide rod device, assuming to prevent from going out of battery.
Awesome review thanks.
A friend of mine just purchased one, I like it! I got to have one with red dot sights. I give it a two 👍👍up.
Never knew you boys from Kentucky could speak that fast and I’m from “JERSEY”. Great review✌🏽
Thanks for the review on this one sir looks like a very nice pistol
Springfield really hit a home run with the hellcat especially the RDP version
Nice review. very informative and detailed.
I have a Ruger LC9s Pro and just got a hellcat. After 200 rounds through the hellcat I can say without a doubt it is my new EDC
Excellent introduction of Hellcat!
It was only a matter of time. Of all the things to appreciate about this gun, I like that it seems like it'll take a light that's short enough on that Glock style accessory slot. All in all, seems like a great package
Looks like a real winner. I’d like to see it compared to my PT111 G 2 Taurus. The PT111 comes with 2-12 round mags. Mine has been perfect since day one. It’s over 3 years old now, can’t even tell you how many rounds through it, just lots.
Love that it is optic/red dot ready. My Taurus is not, however it was so inexpensive I have been temped to have it modified.
A great gun review. I want one!
I cc a 3.8 xdm with no problems. My hands are too big for those little compacts. Came with 5 19 rd clips, great sights, nice case, bag , holster , and 2 mag carrier for less money.
The gun was made in HS PODUKT in Croatia, also the xd series
I love the flat trigger on that gun
Would love to try it! But gotta say I love my G19 and that is a high bar to beat for me ;)
It is very small compared to a 19 or Smith 2.0 compact. It's a world of difference in comfort carrying IWB.
Looks like a 365 and a Mossberg mc1 had a baby
Agreed, which I like!
@@DanTheWolfman not a fan
More for us
Mr. Chungus you hit it!
An ugly baby
Amazing Pistol Lucky Man Got One /Baghdad 9:20 Oct 05 👍💪
Just when I'm about to make budget gun purchases on the Diamondback DB9 Gen 4, AM29, Taurus G3, and Bersa TP9 and all of the sudden this gun came on top of my shopping list! Hell yeah Hellcat!!!
Really good review!
Id like to see a demo on adjusting the red dot optic. I have the optic option Hellcat
Love mine
I saw this gun in a magazine recently, i really like it im prob going to get one. I might carry this one so im debating on getting the optics version or not? It looks like the optics verson will mess up your carry capabilities. Whats nice is if you get the optics version if it does mess ya up for carrying you can just put the rail guard back on and just forget about it? Yeah this is a nice gun im definitely going to get one!
👍
The built in standoff is genius. I'll be buying one of these guns because of that feature and retiring my revolver from EDC.
I believe all the newer springfield models have that feature and I like it.
Here is my thoughts on it & Pocket carry ability too ruclips.net/video/e7rNfNT4Gh0/видео.html plus Specs compared to P365, SAS, and PPQ SC
Bought my wife a Sig Sauer P938... nice little pistol.
Excellent review, looks like a nice little gun... For carry I only want a DA/SA external hammer design like the Springfield XDE,,, or DAO with internal hammer like Ruger LC9,, or Striker fire with decocker like Walther P99... I own at least one of all these since they are the safest operating mechanism for something you may carry in a pocket... I also do not care for anything with a short light trigger pull or short reset as there is much more chance of a unintended discharge in a high-stress situation where fine motor skills are severely compromised
Me too. I hope they can come up with XDE series that has some of the features of this gun, like magazine capacity.
Nice review.
Really take a look at this for new carry handgun but I'm curious will this handgun have the same magazine feed lip issues as the XD?
Glad to see someone step up and follow Sig's lead... as usual. Excellent comparison vid. Thank you. Always good to see new up and coming competition. Good job Springfield.
Well when Sig cant get it right someone else will
I carry the ruger ec9 and love it, but the hellcat and also the g2c has gotten my attention
Id like to see size comparison without extended mags ...
KYGCO will be getting some of my money... again
Great people to deal with !!!
I'd like to see how it compares to the XDS - wasn't that Springfield's CCW example before? I'd still like one now!!!!
@@patriciaross9029
Much smaller. This is pretty much the same as the 365 and the 365 makes my XDS look huge.
I shopped for NONE of them but I did shop for my TAURUS G2C which is and was an AWESOME choice for my Concealed Carry weapon as it is for thousands of other Smart people.
I want one, just with a longer slide. Then I would totally buy one for sure. Also if it could take a light like my tlr. I dont want to buy another light.
Happy with my 365.
Thanks buddy...
I bought a Walther PPKs long ago (early 90s) as my first CCW pistol. Sold it and bought a Glock 27 when it first came out (mid/late 90s - still own). Bought an M&P 9c (original 12 round) for my Wife to use as a CCW pistol (still own). Bought a Ruger LC9s when it first came out. Sold it and bought a Glock 43 when it first came out (still own). Bought a Walther P99C AS to carry AIWB (still own). Bought a Sig P365 one year ago to use as my primary daily CCW pistol (still own). While this Hellcat looks like a nice pistol, I'm just done buying small CCW pistols.
PS: Anyone interested in a used M&P 9c? My Wife didn't ever like it that much and has since confiscated my G19 for her use.
Where you located, lol.
If you own a Glock then gun fanciers CAN'T take you seriously. Kahr CM9 and Ruger's latest models all stand above any Glock variant. I love the Kahr CM9
Nice review.
I’ll stick with my FNS9C. It’s not a candidate for an optic, but it’s one of the best CC pistols on the market. That’s my $0.02 worth.
FN makes a quality product.
Man that looks sweet wonder if you can get it in comifornia
I carry a walther PPS m2 le everyday and I never feel under gunned or under protected, however, this one looks like a killer ...
Hold up I can get a chainsaw and a gun in the same store. God is real.
Chuck Rose Walmart ....
Rural King
We used to have a great store in Northern Wisconsin "Dudes gun and liquor"
@Roald Shakleton you still can in my town
Atwoods!
Excellent review. If not for Springfield's anti-gun overtures, I'd buy one of these. I'm buying a Sig P365.
They are all chasing the 365 now that set the concealed carry standard. The 365 is thinner. Only three rounds more. Looks like a good contender though. Thanks for the look.
Good contender? Really? It's the same width, shorter in height, & same length. Plus, the extended magazine is included with it -- with Sig, you have to purchase it separately. All around winner !!! I see this Hellcat as taking a ma h or chunk of the future P365 sales.
@@georgezaid3696 Especially anyone wanting to mount an RMR. I'm still good with my P365 with 12+1 (I use the Sig Lima365 Laser), but the Hellcat will sure give Sig some real competition.
TIGHT!
Sweet piece of metal! Personally, I wouldn't care too much about optics. If I'm packing a concealed weapon, I'm likely to only draw it in self-defense... and more than likely at close range. Aside from that, a red dot _'would'_ be nice. 😋
Love my HELLCAT
A view through the sight would be nice.
Like it already
My p365 came with 3 mags 2 -10 rounder and 1-12 round magazine. That should be how they ship out.
Zero In no it didn’t ship that way.
Nice deal
Dallas well I guess someone must’ve put an extra one in there for me at the FFL dealer! 😂
The Ruger LCP 2 is a gun you must try.
MahmoudIzGreat I’m sure it’s an awesome gun. I will try it. Thank you
When this firearm coming to dealers, is there a date anybody held of one yet
I'm bias, I never liked single stack micro pistols (as they call it) this is why I still carry my g26 and own the p365. This maybe my next carry. Pre ordered mine, $499 without optics.
Great presentation! Thanks! The optics are a nice touch. Do the optics negatively affect the carry in any way?
No optics really don't change the carry of the gun since they stay the same width as the slide. The biggest thing to print on a gun is the grip. That's why these micros are so great short grips means easy conceal. Also the fact that you can use the iron sights is awesome of the optic goes down you have the irons as a back up.
I like am sold
Damn another shiny new object to draw my attention to. Most of the compact 9’s from reputable manufacturers are good, one may have features that another does not have. Thank God my attention is on pistols rather than women and probably cheaper in the long run.
Sold my xds for the p365. To me it is a way better shooter pretty much night and day difference . Maybe I dont like the way Springfields handle so I'll keep my sig for sure. P365 is a great package night sights and handles like a much bigger pistol. It's great that these manufacturers are start to really push the limits of these pistols and technology
Now we know how the new guns get scratched. lol
Now I want the Hellcat XL (inevitably to be released).
More round means longer mag. Defeat the purpose of micro subcomp gun.
Troy Truong you’re right but under stress you’re probably empty that mag . Let’s hope you never find out !
Does it come with the wizbang 3000?
How about the HK P30SK? Plus hammer fired which I prefer. 10+1 capacity.
I LOVE MY HELLCAT!!!❤❤❤
Get one in the rental fleet and I'll take it for a test drive.
Damn!
365XL comes with two 12 round mags if I remember correctly. And you can get 15 rnd mags for it.
Poppy S yeah for $50 a mag
@@hueskiewooskie4727 People only pay $49 for mags if they choose to, because p365 mags are all over the internet for about $35.
I love my fn 9c.
this is REALLY making me want to upgrade to the 2 round mag extension from floyds custom shop on my m&p compact
Definitely going to rent one and compare it to my XD mod2
Which did you prefer?
Those groups are sufficient to stop most threats. No shame there
2 G2C's and 1000 rounds "winks"
Add the $400.00 dollar red dot and you could double that.
Bersa tpr9c is that size and also 13+1, only difference is its hammer fired da/sa
Best video I've seen about the hellcat super great review
When will it be available to purchase?
Wow. This is Awesome Gun. Can't wait to shoot one!
I think I've found my next purchase
If only there was some way knowing where to grip this pistol.........
If my pistol doesn’t say Grip Zone, then I forget how to hold it sometimes.
What holsters will it fit
Bought a g 26 years ago so the little guns havent been interesting to me. Held the 365 didn't like it. Time to check this one out.
jeremy beverly I have both the g26 and p365 and just preordered this one without optics. Why am I doing this? To prove that my g26 is still the best edc out to date. Glock got it right the first time.
Primer drag?
The sig 365 has a 12 round and a 15 round magazine you can get and the sig 365 are selling for around $499 i would definitely recommend the sig 365 over this gun especially cuz of the price
The magazines are very stiff when new but do loosen up little as u go, at first I couldn't by hand load fully had leave one out, I probably could force it but that's not good policy
I may be splitting hairs here but the grip still looks a tad wider than the P365. The magazines surely look a bit thicker. The P365 is identical in thickness to most single stack 9mms, but comparing the hellcat to those single stacks shows its overall bigger.
I absolutely love love my p365! I'll wait till all the hype is over on the hellcat before I love love my hellcat (that is if I buy one)🤔
Same here. I'll wait to see if there are any defects 1st.
I (WAS) in the process of selecting a gunsmith to mill my 365 slide so that I could mount a RMSc. Now I won't have to modify my Sig and plan on getting a hellcat for EDC. Might go w a laser on the 365???
@@Chief3o I've got the Sig Lima365 Laser on my P365 and I love it. Highly recommended because it doesn't interfere with holstering (I pocket carry with the DeSantis Super Fly Pocket Holster w/Flap Sig P365), has a long battery life, it's easy to use, light weight, and makes target acquisition a breeze, even without my coke bottle glasses.
GTodd Bennett A laser on a compact pistol?? NO. Hell no. Good luck keeping it zeroed and not bouncing around everywhere. rmr is the only true option. Dont waste your money on a laser for something like this
@@a.d.c7941 Since I've put a few hundred rounds through my P365, and the laser has been installed from the get-go, I beg to differ. In fact, every one of my firearms has a laser (9mm's, 380 S&W., 40 S&W, 22LR & 45 ACP), as do most of my long guns (IWI Galil Ace .308, Colt AR-15 A2, & Browning Auto-5 [now Auto-9]), except they have 2 (red & green), as well as RMRs on their scopes. For us older folks who can no longer shoot (let alone see) the gonads off a flea at 100 yds, the lasers really help, just like the high power telescopic sights on the long guns. They're all tools that, if used correctly, can do amazing things. Would I use lasers for match shooting? Of course not. But for fast target acquisition (like in self defense situations, for which the P365 was designed), there's nothing like it, especially for someone with lots and lots of different firearms, and not enough time or money to become expert in each. I HIGHLY recommend lasers. No exceptions. I do agree with you about an RMR on a pistol, and my next one (probably one in the Sig P320 family) will have one (and quite possible, a laser--but that's yet to be decided). However, for the micro pistols, an RMR doesn't go well with my pocket carry requirement. For those IWB or OWB carriers, that's a different story.
I want this gun all my Springfield’s have NEVER failed anyway way shape or form I’m a Springfield and Glock guy
