His name is Bernie Taupin. He deserves to have his last name remembered. he wrote the lyrics, Elton wrote the music. Amazingly Taupin wrote the lyrics FIRST and then Elton wrote the music. The music fits the lyrics so well. I just can't comprehend that.
I know this may sound strange, but the complexity of the music for many Elton John songs just makes my brain happy.
I understand completely but have no better way of explaining. I’m not sure I have the vocabulary or that the vocabulary exists to express the feeling.
Loved this one, I also throw my arms out everytime I hear "hold me closerrrr, tiny dancerrrr"

Highly recommend listening to some Sam Fender, such talented song writer and great singer. He writes a lot about mental health and touches on male suicide. Every song is such a tune but ‘The Dying Light’ is a favourite 😊
