Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on RUclips, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on RUclips. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on RUclips, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.

"Jesus freaks, out in the street, handing tickets out for God", is one of Bernie Taupin's best lyric, IMHO. Marilyn Manson was "Mr. Snake Guy" in the video. Great reaction to a superb song, and the video is pretty good too!

It's hard to pick a favorite Elton John song but, this one is up there.
I was a little kid when it came out but I do remember hearing it throughout the 70s on the radio. At the time, I didn't like it but I also didn't dislike it. It was just a part of the background music to my life and brings back scattered images and a "feeling" I can't describe when I hear it. Because of that, I absolutely love it. I was a full-on adult when I finally bought it back in the 90s.

One of Bernie and Elton's best songs. It was also used in the soundtrack for the movie "Almost Famous" (which I highly suggest) that gave it a new boost. The steel guitar does give it a really great unexpected touch.

From one of Elton’s top 2 or 3 albums and one of the best songs to go along with 3 more unforgettable tunes from this album. You need to at least listen to the complete album with Levon, Madman Across The Water, and Indian Sunset you will love them all, guaranteed!I used to sing this to my long departed wife when we were dating!❤😢The big sound comes from the orchestra arrangement and production which were done for the first 2 or 3 of Elton’s American released albums!Billy Joel could match or exceed Elton and they did a few tours together!

The movie, “almost famous” (2000) about the fictional tour of a real teenage writer for Rolling Stone Mag’, Cameron Crowe, brought this song back into favor. Crowe was hired by RS to write and tour, based on some of his local written music articles - they didn’t call him in to interview, and would have found he was a high school student.
Crowe toured with The Allman Bros, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, etc. he would continue writing, like his High School experience as “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” - and became a film Director. It’s been his friendship with a lot of bands, that he can negotiate for music in his films. In “almost famous” Elton’s song plays on a tour bus for the band, “Stillwater”, and the people on the bus sing along, going up the road, haggard by their tour.

This is my FAVORITE Elton John song. I'm so happy you like it! I was hearing it in his concerts since the 70s! At his Farewell concert, I thought I was gonna lose it because I wouldn't hear him sing it live anymore. But I closed my eyes, and let my soul fly! If you want to check him out live, check out his 1980 Concert in Central Park. I slept in the park the night before, there were others there, too, and I woke up with a half million people behind me!! ✌️🎶🔥💙

@ShawnSalvadori for another story, the picture I use, this gargoyle, is part of the album cover of R.E.M.'s first EP in 1982. I fell in love with R.E.M. from the 1st notes of the 1st song I ever heard, which was a song called "Stumble." It is not a popular song, even with the band itself, and I don't know why! But I got to hear them play it in 1982 at Nassau Colesium. They were opening for the band Squeeze. R.E.M. only performed Stumble rarely back then, and then stopped altogether. But I was there, in my glory, jumping up and down, dancing and singing! R.E.M. release 15 studio albums, but their live performances and bootlegs are the best!

The video is dumb. The song is early 70s, but the video is a bunch of present day people just driving around La. Why they decided to make a video for the song after 50 years I have no idea. Should have just used footage of 70s elton at a piano, or something. Not a bunch of randos

Steel guitars come in two types, lap steels and pedal steels. Lap steels lay across your lap and are tuned to open chords. A metal slide changes the chord but it can't change the type of chord (major, major 7th or whatever). A pedal steel has knee and foot levers that can change the type of chord. Both are played with a metal slide in one hand and finger picks on the other hand.

Here’s IMHO the best live concert, in its entirety, from the last show in December 1986 from Elton with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. You’ll notice that his voice is extremely rough but he still delivers. 2 weeks later he had a throat operation in Sydney which changed his voice forever. The tour was called the Tour de Force which saw him, his band and the MSO perform 20 odd shows in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney (all over Australia). It is the only tour of its kind to my knowledge. I don’t believe anyone else has ever actually toured with an orchestra before.
I hope you watch and enjoy.
