I didn't quite like how he made it sound like (at least to me) he would be using the OnePlus phone _he just happened to have there._ Particularly when there are features on these earbuds which don't work on a number of phones, except the OnePlus. 🤨

Didnt he say in a vid two months ago that the Bang and Olufsen EX was his favorite overall? Momentum was just the cheaper recommendation.
But yeah, one can change over time.
I have to say the onboard white noise feature is actually really welcome. I hope every other headphone starts including this. I know I could just use an app and play that with any, but the implementation here is great.

If nothing else, the green ones certainly are pretty. 😏 I would really like to try these, but I'm disappointed they don't have *LDAC.* So the hi-res comes from utilizing the *LHDC* codec instead.
IMO *LHDC* is a great substitute (possibly better), except very few devices support it right now.¹ Certainly not my *Samsung S20 fe.*🧐
*EDIT:* I am very satisfied with my *Liberty 4's.* But _Soundcore's_ sound signature, especially when utilizing Hear ID, is absolutely ideal _for me._ 🥰
Ultimately, the *Liberty 3 Pros* and *Liberty 4's* are amazing IMO.²

¹ ─ Which explains why this reviewer is using a OnePlus phone. I don't like how he makes it sound like he _just happened to pick that phone._ It belies the fact that it's one of the few phones that can actually support all of the *OnePlus Buds Pro 2* functions, including *LHDC.*
² ─ Although, the *Space A40* earbuds don't pack the same punch IMO, but are good for sleeping with as they are quite small. 🤏

Yes I'm hoping the hi res codex gets support in the future from an update considering they partnered with Google (I have a pixel 7). How is the battery life on the liberty 4?

a lot dude, like spatial audio, zen mode and a ton of features....i would say dont get these if you dont have a OP phone
As example Golden sound mode. It will allow you to ‘tune’ a sound profile to your own ears as you are taken through a “can you hear this?” set of questions. From "Forbes review"
It is my understandig you might not get the _high-res_ sound feature. The high-res certification is based on the fact that it's using the *LHDC* codec. *LHDC* is a great substitute over *LDAC* (possibly better), except very few devices support it right now. 🧐 But of course, the OnePlus phone he is using for the review does. 😐
They're actually worth half the price without the OnePlus phone 💀
I own the gen 1 and you can do all this features with the heymelody app, so don't be that worried

What is the lifespan of OnePlus buds pro?
Unfortunately, these earbuds are not replaceable or repairable. I can't help but feel that OnePlus is intentionally designing the software to make the earbuds last for only a year, forcing customers to upgrade to the latest version, like the recently released Buds Pro 2.
I purchased the OnePlus Buds Z a few months after they were released. I was hesitant because there were no test units available in Sri Lanka, but I was pleasantly surprised by the audio quality. After almost a year of use, I decided to upgrade to the OnePlus Buds Pro, which had impressive active noise cancellation and transparency mode, although I didn't notice a significant improvement in sound quality. I gave my Buds Z to a friend, but after a year, they complained that the battery life on one side was very low and lasted for less than an hour. I suggested basic fixes, but the problem only got worse until the earbud became unusable.
On the other hand, I had no issues with my OnePlus Buds Pro until eight months after use when one side stopped charging. After almost a year of use, the battery life on the left earbud became so bad that it couldn't even last for three songs. Despite trying various reset methods, there was no improvement. Unfortunately, these earbuds are not replaceable or repairable.
I can't help but feel that OnePlus is intentionally designing the software to make the earbuds last for only a year, forcing customers to upgrade to the latest version, like the recently released Buds Pro 2. This is unacceptable, and I am extremely disappointed. I will never purchase or recommend OnePlus products again. It's important to raise awareness about this issue so that other consumers are informed and not deceived.

Hi, I don't consider ear buds to be a long term investment, but if you are dissatisfied, simply buy a different brand. The marketing strategy suggested sounds like something a 12 year old would come up with.

I'm sorry, but your response is completely unacceptable. It's not about considering earbuds a long term investment or not, it's about the fact that these earbuds are marketed as 'PRO' and are not cheap. Consumers expect them to last for more than a year, especially when they pay a premium price for them. Your dismissive attitude towards customer dissatisfaction is disappointing, to say the least. And your comment about 'buying a different brand' is insulting and shows a lack of accountability on OnePlus' part. I won't stand for it. It's time for OnePlus to take responsibility for its faulty products and provide a better solution than just buy another one.' Your dad buying you the latest and greatest might be an option, but for most of us, it's not that simple. We work hard for our money, and we expect products to last longer than a year. Your response is simply not good enough.

What's the bluetooth latency on a non-OnePlus 11 phone? I noticed with the first generation, they only lowered the bluetooth latency when using a OnePlus phone and gaming mode. I'm hoping this is not required with this generation to get low latency, as that should also be in the basics of earbuds in 2023.
I have Galaxy Buds Pro 2, but have a One Plus phone, I have a lawn mower that the galaxy buds don't quite mask out. Do you think the OP Buds would work better for lawn mower noise cancelling? Also I lost customization of the galaxy buds once I got the One Plus phone :(, but they still sound good, and can turn up volume, down volume on the buds, which I like.

Mic quality sounds pretty bad from the video. I just got these today and right away I notice the well balanced tuning and quality. These are really good do far and the app works great. The apps from my other headphones though, not so great.
Same price as a Pixel 7 Pro here in Spain. That's tough competition.
Agree and here in 🇸🇪 pixel 7 pro is around 180 euro cheaper.
I hated my OP Buds Pro 1. The proximity sensor was weird so they paused the music all the time and there was no volume control. I'm not trusting these ones, especially since apparently they haven't added volume control and the design seems identical to gen 1.
Proximity can be disabled on the Pro 1.

Hey there! 🌟 First off, a big thank you for all the fantastic info you provide! I'm on the hunt for new earbuds and would love your guidance. I've got my eye on the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, but I've noticed they only support LHDC, AAC, and SBC codecs. My Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, supports AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, LC3, and Opus.
I'm curious if the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will deliver a great experience on the AAC codec (I read a rumor about an LC3 codec update too). If not, do you have any recommendations in the ballpark of 150 EUR? Sound quality, volume, and solid bass are my top priorities. Multi-connectivity is a plus for me too. Thanks a bunch! 🙌

My current Soundcore earbuds offer a hearing test feature and tailors what comes through left and right to suit that ear. Do these have a similar feature?
I got a pair one plus buds pro 2 today tested out sound amazing loud n clear.. Bass hit hard like subwoofer 🔊.. They are much better sounds then TOZO golden X1 I also tested that too..

Another basic feature that a lot of earbuds like these one or galaxy buds 2 pro dont have is that they dont show the battery of the case in their respective app which is really frustrating

@Shepherd Kamumvuri i have them they only show it when you connect them but if you go in the app afterwards they dont show like the seinheisser moomentum 3s or the sony xm4s for example
@@johngkino6041 as long as at least one bud is in the case the battery level will always show on the phone app. It will only disappear when you remove both buds.

@@johngkino6041 Yeah, that always bothered me about my Galaxy Buds+. Only if the phone is awake and I'm staring at the screen _right when they connect_ will I get that info. If I miss it, it's a hassle. 😕

I have a pair of one plus bullets z that I love. Getting them was a shit show and that took into account the headphones only cost me 40 buck. I swore after I finally got the headphones I would never buy anything from them again. Then they go and copy apple! Ugly ass earpod knock offs and charging apple prices for them. They are not worth 270CAD and the company is not worth buying from!
I don't know how anyone can stand that damn stem sticking out so far from your face. I think it looks terrible. My airpods v3 don't do that. Is it the way he wears them maybe?
Might just be his ears or how he positions them. 🤷🏼♂️ But IMO there are enough reasons for me NOT to get these beyond that. 😝
