It's been a monster year for the brand. You know it's rough for the industry when a company like OP can take a year off their foldable, release a "special color" edition, and it's still SCHOOLING the newest Pixel Fold.

Hey! First time watching your channel and... I'm super impressed! Great review. You quite obviously know your stuff when it comes to audio and I appreciated learning some new words and phrases about the nuances you pay attention to! I ordered these to compare against the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro as I'm disappointed Samsung still continues forward without Multipoint. Am looking forward to comparing the mic quality between them as well - that's an important feature for me. Lastly - I'm with ya! It'll be a REALLY fun fight. For as much as I rag on Samsung PR and Executives, I can't EVER let go of the fact that they bought up my all time favorite mic manufacturer. Samsung audio gear has been consistently good. I think over the last couple years, OP is fighting well on BOTH audio and tech now.
As always another great review man! These look like some really great ANC buds. I'm sure Oppo's sound division had a good influence on OnePlus making these sound amazing. OnePlus is killing it. The one thing I can't stand is how companies are making these type of earbuds with basically no tip on the end to help keep different sizes from falling out, and to actually create a good seal in my ear. It makes no sense to me.
It's good to have the different options. Ears are wild. We really can't create a one size fits all solution. I like deep ear nozzles and tips, but not everyone can wear those. I don't love shallow ear tips, but some folks need them.
Just delivered this morning... WOW. Returned the Galaxy buds 3 pro and ordered these instead. Samsung locking features to their handset is garbage, and the case design is an abomination! These OnePlus buds sound AMAZING!!! My God, they're much less expensive too, and pair with my OnePlus Open perfectly!
You are getting average sound on your Samsung phone if you have one. Samsung phones do not support LDHC. If you care about sound quality I would have stuck with the Galaxy buds 3 pro. I'm assuming you have a Samsung phone though.
They had a great deal on these in the UK. If you bought a pair then you could get the Buds 2 Pro for free but it was limited stock and they didn't last too long
After testing the buds pro 3 for a few hours, I can already tell the buds pro 2 are tuned for a V shape and the buds 3 pro have both ends shaved off for more balance and clearer mids. To me, the sound of the buds pro 2 are better
But the buds pro 3 are overall better. Much more stable when all the settings are turned to the max in the developer settings and stay at level due to dual dacs. The case feels amazing and the orientation of the buds in them allow for them to be removed easily with on hand and put in ears without fiddling around. These little details are what make these so great
Do you think that the One Plus are better than the Nothing ear 2024 or Huawei freebuds pro 3? I meant that how to handle the soundstage or if works with metal ?
So I used to have the Jabra 75T Actives, that had ridiculously boosted low-bass, and I really really liked that. Luckily the Buds Pro 2 matched them with the Basswave setting cranked to 4, while retaining a better sound quality overall. It's just that... I have to re-enable the Basswave setting each time I connect my buds, or it doesn't actually work. I would really like to know if this keeps happening with these new ones too?
Oh oh and, and, I hope you see this, is the transparency mode improved at all? I often find it too low in volume/gain(?), and that wind reduction feature disables the transparency for too long :(

Sucks Samsung wont support LHDC. Only like 50% of the android market supports it compared to... [checks notes] ... A LOT FEWER phones that include Samsung's proprietary hi-res audio codec...
But seriously, like other OP devices (Watch 2 vs 2R) the tech differences aren't extreme. The Buds Pro 3 have the new dual DAC design, slightly better noise reduction, better hardware controls, the bone conduction calling microphone, and the more advanced spatial audio and head tracking (and health tracking) features. Oh. Slight. Like the Buds Pro 2. If you listen immediately side by side, you can hear some differences, but I doubt they would amount to massive differences when youre wearing one out and about.
Outside of noise canceling and battery improvements, I just don't see how they could do better sound wise than they did with the 2 Pros with the Hans Zimmer EQ profile. I only say that because most brands go for specific tuning on almost all their products. OP tried to get the 2 Pros profile on the 3's, but couldn't quite get there because, ya know, inferior hardware and all.
I think I will buy them! Thanks for review. I have one question. Does anyone know that if I use these buds on my European Samsung Galaxy S24 then I will have all features including LHDC? Or maybe I will have some other good codec.
I dont believe samsung supports LHDC. They want you to use their proprietary codec with Galaxy Buds. I'd recommend shopping LDAC or APTX earbuds instead.
Everybody uses the same names for their buds and I forget which ones you're talking about towards the middle of the video. It's always Buds 3, 4 , or 3 pro, and 4 Pro, or Air pro or whatever. Can someone come up with their own names? 😂
Mine sound fine. Maybe reviewers who only used them under embargo didn't update their reviews? That happens a lot with OnePlus gear... No follow ups...
I think you're missing the curve here there are other companies making much better products than these. You should showcase The Earfun Air Pro 4's that surpass these for half the price .These don't even have Auracast .

Oh we hate writing the scripts for it too...
Correct me if I'm wrong but I do not much of a difference between these and the Realme Buds Air 6 pro which you will get for less than half the price.
Tampon design is meh... But at least they're not bright white and visible from the other side of the country :-D
I Hate top case, so difficult to pick and put back the buds (realme air 6 pro)
I prefer the flat case too.
They are pretty large
Shi lemme borrow dem
Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like to listen to open mouth chewers 😂
The. Worst.
Purchased for £179 and get Nord Buds 2 free which I will sell for £50.
Nice buy!
Bought the 3 pro's for €96 just now
What about the update ruining sound quality in Dynaudio mode ?
Mine sound fine. Maybe reviewers who only used them under embargo didn't update their reviews? That happens a lot with OnePlus gear... No follow ups...
😊🙏🫡
I think you're missing the curve here there are other companies making much better products than these. You should showcase The Earfun Air Pro 4's that surpass these for half the price .These don't even have Auracast .
They "surpass" these?

Agreed. I will try different tips, if that doesn’t help by giving a better seal then I am returning. You still own them?
