Literally took me towards the end of the episode where Iris bumps into him to realize that. I don't think they were super clear about it. Maybe the answer is 'simple' but the storytelling wasn't perfect here, especially with all the actors being much older and the illusion being broken there. Nora and Bart kept worrying about breaking the timeline, it made me think this was an alternate timeline of the show's present, but I don't think they ever emphasized that they were in the past, or that far into the past. Especially with them having to prevent Joe's death AGAIN. That never happened before, so it was hard to follow where we were in the timeline.

@@pxttinsxn That is flashtime. Flashtime isn't completely stopping time. The only difference is that Barry is way faster. So Barry can slow down time to the point that it's barely noticeable. But for example in the nuke flashtime episode. Time still passed and the nuke continued to nearly explode.
@@TitanWar93 the new lightning effects look a lot more streamlined, there’s less frame by frame lightning flickers while they run, looks more like trails. It looks worse but it probably speeds up the vfx process by a ton. It does look like in this specific scene when they’re standing, with how the lightning flickers, some poor soul had to sit there and probably paint in each lightning effect by hand. This scene is a pretty short static shot so they probably could afford to do that, the flash time episode was basically the entire episode in slowed time so it would have been an awful lot of work to add lightning effects in practically every shot.

They must be faster than smallville Clark since I never recall him standing around that long after a bullet was fired. Also didn't Barry lose the need to wear glasses? Bart still seems to need glasses even with his powers.
Honestly smallville power levels were way higher than the Arrowverse. Clark was running to other countries in seconds in the later seasons. I know barry ran all the way to China before a camera finished its back and forth pass, but when they established the Arrowverse they probably kept his speed down to sound levels because the main character of the established universe at that point was a dude with a bow and arrow.

1. why did that gun go off, put it in slow motion nothing happened that would have caused it to shoot. 2. when Bart and Nora were talking they were faster than the bullet but when Bart went to move Joe he was slower than he was a few seconds ago. 3. The girl in the end would have seen that whole thing and also would have seen Bart and Nora walking by her at the end. 4. Why the heck are there only TWO police officers at the scene of the robbery and why would they split up. 5. Why would that dude drop his gun, he didn't do it on accident because he released his fingers knowing he wouldn't have a good grip on the gun anymore. 6. He could have grabbed the bullet instead of moving Joe which would have taken less effort, also I think Joe would be a little confused about why he TELEPORTED a foot the the right. 7. Bad animation on the glass breaking and also the bullet would have hit the window behind it because the first glass wouldn't have slowed the bullet that much. 8. I see that someone said that Nora and Bart went back to save Eddie, that would have created all sorts of new timeline as we saw when Barry even did something so small, it caused a train reaction making a bunch of timelines. (I haven't watched the episode yet so I could be completely wrong about some of these things.)

So is everyone going to ignore the fact that that type of gun cannot fire from an impact? Literally only single action revolvers, and old break barrel single action rifles and shotguns can impact fire. Actually one if my great grandfather's supposedly survived a gunshot wound that happened when he leaned his side by side dubble barrel up against a fence and knocked it over climbing over. Apparently it did some real bad life lasting damage, but he did survive.
well, i mean, that looks like a M1911, a hammer-fire pistol with an external hammer, which has been in circulation for quite a while, if that is an old enough model, along with extensive usage and maintenance neglect, a worn firing pin could result in an inertial discharge, although i would agree with you in this case since the gun wasn’t dropped on its muzzle or hammer, so they’d be no chance of firing when dropped

Plus that's a modern firearm, could be a 2011 too. Looks like it could be a Taurus. The gun itself has modern grips on it, and the real one that they use with the prop was probably made sometime after the 1980's and has seen very little to no actual use and instead has sat in hills storage most of that time.
Just wait till when Barry's great grandchildren comes and his son's another son and five different daughters and their six different sons. After that show will be epic.
