    I've put only 46k miles on my 2017 GC Trailhawk, & still absolutely love her! Best overall vehicle compromise I've ever owned for both on / off-road handling & performance in dry, wet conditions. A lot of fun in mud & snow! It's perfect for a small family.

    My grand Cherokee came with everything, even a butt wiper ! All 4x4 all the time and when I lock into rock or mud it becomes a damn mountain goat 🐐 and drives up skyscrapers lol. I’m absolutely in love with my Jeep.

    I have a 2022 Wk2 Grand Cherokee Pentastar V6 with Quadratrac II. Love it. Sting Grey. Traded in my Wrangler Rubicon for it. MUCH more comfortable for paved roads and better mileage. They sell more Grand Cherokees then Wranglers. Quadradrive II has locking rear differential. Some new Wranglers have the option of full-time wheel drive systems with CV joints instead of universal joints in front axle (Sahara). Grand Cherokee has much more room for hauling cargo. I love both vehicles - they have a different purpose and use.

      I know this is a zombie post but hated my 2006 GC (it was a wife hand-me-down when I got her a new car) but drove in a serious blizzard a few years later and I was amazed at how many other vehicles which I would have thought more capable, were stranded/wrecked/ran off the road. I drove a little slower and the GC just cruised along.

    I was super hesitant on buying this 2013 Cherokee overland with the 5.7hemi cuz I was looking at 2014 for the better transmission but thus far I'm in love with this beast that feels luxurious with almost too many options.
    I'm embarrassed to say it has 160k miles on it but I have money for most problems so I just take care of it best I can and fingers crossed.

      My 2006 GC Laredo is like that. No low range, you wouldn't know it had 4x4 except for the emblem on the back. Still, drove it through a pretty serious blizzard and it got me through a few hundred miles of snow and ice, while other vehicles I'd assumed would be better were on the side of the road becoming snow mounds. Never spun out, nothing. It just worked.

Yes parts need to be replaced with high of milage but parts new, or used are plentiful and cheap to reasonable. As I'm a pretty decent mechanic I'm able to make repairs at home. Last repair was I installed a rebuilt transfer case cause m8ne has the vicious coupling. Total expense was about 1200 dollars and 2 hours of wrenching. Works like new.

    I’ve got a lifted 2020 Gladiator Rubicon on 37s with all the bells and whistles. I love it off-road, but don’t trust it in the slightest on road with ice and snow. It’s such a terrible ride to take on longer trips, and in bad weather you don’t know what’s happening beneath you.
    You battle the wind, loud cabin noise, terrible seats, etc just to have a backache after a few hours of driving.
    Seriously considering trading it in for JGC. There’s no point trying to get to trails when you don’t feel comfortable getting there on asphalt, whether it be ride quality or bad weather, or both at the same time.

  • @georgegeorgiev9420
    @georgegeorgiev9420 Год назад

    Small mistake.... On LOW mode transfer case on WK2 2014+ is not using slipping clutch anymore, but is dead locked by engaging gear wheel... On High mode transfer case is routing torque via clutch and chain to the front wheels... But system works very well - in fact clutch is always partly engages, thus WK2 is full time 4WD... The clues include the quadralift with no front tow hooks (so it's not an Overland), the body colored mirrors, flat black interior wood trim and finally the wheels. They changed the rim style over the years for that model. The JGC in the parking lot rim style ended on the 2019 model.
