About a year ago I bought an Eotech from a reputable vendor and when I opened up the box there was a $50 Sightmark red dot in the Eotech case. Somebody had bought an Eotech, swapped it for a Sightmark, and returned it and the people at the warehouse couldn't tell the difference and sold it again. I got my money back but holy crap I was pissed when I opened that box.
I know someone who does this often at academy sports and outdoors..they'll buy a eotech and swap it out with a sightmark and then return the eotec case with a sight Mark in it for a full refund LMAO

I have 2 NF nsx's, 1-4 and a 2.5-10. Both are amazing and made in the USA! I beat them up on the farm, keeping rifles in tractors, feed pickups and every other inhospitable condition. No failures except when i scratched the lenses from dirty environment, sent the scope in and they put new lenses in it. Great American customer service. Thanks NF!

Main Reason i got the ATACR over this is the reticle without illumination. The Razor 3 reticle is almost unusable in low light when illumination is turned off - the ATACR reticle is nice and thick.

Very cool but I think I’d still prefer a Razor 3-15x with an RMR and save $500.
Another Guy Except the 3-15x is 2nd focal plane which is far less useful in anything past about 6x top end.
It amusese that 99.9% of users won't use or notice the FFP nature of this optic but they'll pay for it.

To the folks wanting the elevation to not be capped and having actual turrets, you’ve got to remember the reticle has 11 mils of elevation in it which would take mk262 to about 925yds with just the reticle alone so once it’s zeroed at say 100yds you should be G2G for most all practical ranges for any rifle this thing would be mounted on. I never pull out either bud! Carry on!
Optic performance against complex target environments is an underrated and under reviewed subject, thanks for bringing it up. Shooting white or orange steel isn’t representative of the use cases where clarity, color and detail matter in an optic.
When comparing Brightness and Color (17:35) and notice the Vortex looks clearer and sharper... 🤣 Love your videos! I just started this year. Thank you for the laughs and great reviews.

Nice review one thing I did notice is when you do the side by side view the razor things in the foreground and the outer edges look clearer on the razor and it does the nf even though the night Forest had better color
Great information and good review. I would suggest hydrating during filming to eliminate the pauses in speech due to swallowing. If you watch back with a critical eye (ear) you will notice what I am pointing out.

It's great that companies are continuing to to push the envelope for lpvo tech but it really does feel like we're getting to the point of diminishing returns for the increase in price. I snagged a trijicon accupower 1-8 on a pretty wicked deal (68% off) and I'm happy with it so far. Just been dicking around with it so far until I can get a new upper I've been eyeballing. I doubt I'll be disappointed but we'll see.

The lake view of the optics comparison on my computer has the vortex looking like there is more definition to the overall picture. I haven't shot either model but from the view represented the glass on the Vortex appears to have more definitive resolution

I just wanna point out, Carlos Hathcock did a whole heap of killin' with a fixed 10x Unertl scope. We're at the point now with optics, cartridges and firearms where we can have a rifle that will serve us from zero to 1000m.
This optic on a 6.5CM Revolution for example. Light. Accurate. Deadly.

@@Redpitbull44 I can see arguments either way. Set up with a 3-18 like that it would make a nice companion piece to something a lot shorter and even lighter with a dot as the primary. Call it a 0-200m gun, possibly even running .300 subs and a can if that's your thing. That would be a nice pair of rifles to own I think.
