Doesn't need anything else. Don Wilson - possibly the most under-rated rhythm guitar player ever born. Bob Bogle, played lead on Walk Don't Run but passed the lead off to a better lead guitar player to play bass, but figured what the hell, I may play the bass but that doesn't mean I can't play it like a lead guitar! And Nokie Edwards, a genuine virtuoso guitar player. Live in Japan 1965 is a great album, by a fantastic American group.
Well maybe they were and still are pretty good for being a bit of a lesser known band, but could you imagine if these guys had fans just like the Beatles like the Ventures or even their drummer Mel Taylor couldn’t even hear what they were playing because the screaming from overexcited fans, like even with just Ringo from the Beatles at the airport it was packed with fans
That Nokie Edwards was WAY ahead of his time with those licks. Nobody and I mean nobody was playing licks like that back then especially when he goes way up the neck like at .1:58 WOW.
Is there only me that can see these are fake recordings with dubbed on sound, listen to them they are in stereo but there are no mics in front of the amps

Maybe so but Hendrix was 5 years later. Nobody in the early 60's could play like Nokie Edwards.

@@fincaman2 the drum fills are different. I don't think it's a "fake recording", the video's just probably a different performance
